WOYWW 747

Still another week before I can show you one of the pages I did for my journal so I am once again sat with an fairly tidy desk.  Not that I have been idle.   Been ever so busy around the house cleaning up after the windows had been fitted and doing as much as my back would permit, the rest of the time was spent with a hot bottle on it.

Here's my desk:

Getting ready for my journal tomorrow

Headless bodies, bodyless heads, legs, monsters and boys, birds, cats & dogs and an old journal page where I was trying my layout for tomorrow.

Thanks for the prayers last Friday when we went to the funeral.  The firm he worked for in Preston had closed for the day so that they could go to Geoff's funeral.  He must have been well thought of.  Not many get that.  Of course seeing and knowing that brought another tear or two so it turned into a very wet day in more ways than one.

So on that note I will leave you to go and visit Julia and WOYWW so that you can visit more interesting desks than mine.  See you next week which will be October - and I WILL have something to show you, promise.

I think your desk is very interesting Neet - and a real glimpse into your creative process.
Good to hear you were able to cope with Geoff's funeral - tears and all

Sounds like it was a very fitting and poignant funeral. Your desk has all the evidence of a very productive time getting ready for October. Hope your back is okay after all the cleaning you've done. P xxxx

It must have been amazing to see how much Geoff was held in high regard by family, friends and colleagues - a sign that he had a good filled life. Hugs to you though, I hate funerals. Only on the workdesk could you share the fact that you’re dealing with headless bodies and limbs and no-one bats an eyelid, lol!!! Hope you’re having fun with them and I look forward to seeing the results.

Looking forward to seeing the snarky journal page tomorrow. You didn't show much, but I look forward to seeing the colorful entry then.

Nice that your windows are in. Clean up is the worst part of the project at times. Happy WOYWW from # 3.

I enlarge your desk photograph so I could see all those heads and bodies! Look forward to seeing your new page. It was lovely of the firm to let everyone go to the funeral, it shows he was well thought of. Happy WOYWW. Angela #2

Hi Neet, I've just left a comment on Helen's post thinking it was yours! How silly is that? It's because you both have dark backgrounds! Even the fact that she posted photos from Kew didn't click in my hare brain LOL! Anyway, I have now corrected myself, hopefully even before she had a chance to read my first post. Lovely to have a chance to see "behind the scenes" of how your journal pages coem together with all those body parts lying around LOL - so funny! Hope you're well - so lovely to catch up with everyone after months of being away from blogland! xx zsuzsa #22

I had a visit from that big sister of mine this morning...checking up on me :-)... hence why I'm late commenting.
It sounds like there's been a mass slaughter going on at yours with all those body parts around lol. Hope your back improves soon my friend.

Totally determined to get round everyone's desks this week. I ended up with the first part of a root canal procedure yesterday and a blood test today, I'm a bit zonked out as a result... I'm just amazed at all the "parts" you have bagged up ready for use and love the sideways page especially the coloured background. I'm glad the funeral went OK, a sad but special day. Hugs BJ#1

Funerals are never easy, but if they go well, they can be a comfort. It really does sound like he was well loved and that is a lovely thought to keep with you. Your headless Zombie guy is going to be a fun image and who doesn't need a bag of body parts to play with?

Happy, so very late, WOYWW!
