Not the rain type of shower but the one you have instead of a bath, or even after a bath if you so wish. Oh how lovely it is to get in a shower on a hot day or even on a very cold one when you feel you are frozen to the bone.
"Penny liked a drink. There was no other way to put it other than that she liked a glass of wine in the evening, after a hard day at work. Her grandfather had always said that a glass of red wine was what gave him the longevity that she remembered, afterall he was 102 when he passed on. Such a fine figure of a man right up to the end. She had been proud to call him her grandpa.
Some of her friends thought she was a bit odd having a glass of wine in the evening. She had grown tired of telling them she did not have a problem with the stuff, it was like a medicinal thing with her and she wanted to be just like her grandpa and live to be a century at least. What was one glass of wine anyway? It wasn't as if she drank the bottle in one go. She told them that in moderation it was thought of as good for the heart. The alcohol and certain substances called antioxidants may help prevent coronary artery disease leading to heart attacks.
So one night - she did just that!"
I wanted to enter this into Art journal Journey's new challenge which is set by my friend Alison and is "Play it Again Sam" eg linked to a song or film. Now this might seem a stretch to some people but I did think of "Psycho" and the scene in the shower. Hope Penny does not befall the same fate.
