It's Wednesday and that is another WOYWW Day where I meet up with friends a d share what is on my desk - crafting that is. Why not pop along and join us, you'll make lots of friends and have something to do every Wednesday, just click here.
I made a tag the other week for Vicky Stampers and forgot to show it on here and I almost forgot to show my latest workshop make - which ended up as a box to keep some Dylusion figures in. It was a class done by my bff Lorraine which should have been a folio but when I had almost finished it I decided it would make a nice box and so I am now making another one which will be the "real" folio.
here it is - decorated with some of the figures
I did make another thing - a book, but I can't show you that yet as it went into a challenge which is anonymous so until it ends you will have to wait. Bet I forget all about it!
I have been keeping up with my iCAD's but some days it has been a bit difficult so I have taken the easy way out and used a diecut, as you can see. I also had a go with my Gelatos but I can't say I had much success with them. In fact I almost threw the striped one away - then I thought I would just stick a Dylusion figure on and call it done. You will have to excuse the dirty craft mat underneath.
As you can see, some days I did not have much time to spend on them but the ones where I coloured figures in were the ones I enjoyed the most, this blooming back has a lot to answer for.
Anyhow, you have come here to see my desk, not the index cards, so showing no evidence of anything here is my desk - nothing to see but my Pan Patel's that were waiting to go back on top of the cupboard. I have my journal to do for tomorrow, luckily I know what I am doing for it and then I need to do a real good clean up and get ready for a workshop with Tracy Evans at weekend. She asked us to get everything out and ready so as there are a few things want cutting and stamping in readiness I had better get to it.
Gosh, when I think of the money I spent on buying these and the trays to put them in - along with so much other crafting stuff that lies idle - I could be much richer (or have bought more from AALL & Create's Weekend Birthday Bonanza!). Would have not had such a crowded craft room either! Btw the bit about buying more at weekend was said rather tongue in cheek as i did get a bit carried away with the tv.
See you all next week!
Health Update:
The leg has been healing really well and the District Nurses are so pleased with its progress that I am signed off from having to go again. Well, almost. I have to go on Friday just to collect my stocking!! I have reached that old age where I will have to wear an elastic stocking on my leg all the time. Asked did I want "sand" or "black" I am glad now that I chose "sand". Thought it was only a temporary thing but the nurse explained that the wound could break down at some time in the future and the wearing of this stocking would help circulation and prevent this. Great! Still, better than the alternative. Must say those girls down at the clinic are doing a marvellous job. Hats off to them!
Another week and still no call to the hospital. It's going to be the end of the month before long.

Starting at the end - glad your leg is healing well. hope the stocking helps prevent it happening again. Love the icads - sometimes simple is best! Have a good week. Helen#?
Hi Neet. Glad to read that your leg is better and hope very much that it continues that way. Your ICADS are fantastic, and the figures on the box such fun. You got a lot done this week! Have a wonderful day, hugs, Valerie
Glad to hear that the leg is healing well Neet. Love the icads. I find I have more luck blending gelatos if I gesso the surface first and also use a little water on my fingers. Hope you remember to show us the journal when it's OK to do so. I had to sit on my hands last weekend with all the AAll and Create offers. Look forward to seeing your stash when it arrives. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #?
Wow you are being so productive at the moment, love your icads. I was never tempted by pastels so managed to save my money lol and spent recklessly on other art products instead haha. Glad to hear your leg is healing, even if you have to wear a stocking from now on. As you say, its the better option. P xxxxxxxxx
That's great news about your leg healing so well! And the elastic stocking is just a tool, like wearing glasses, to help your system.
I'm sorry but I hooted at the thought of the auto corrected Pan Patels, that's a whole new area of crafting perhaps?! I think you're allowed to use what you like for the iCards, the die Cuts work really well!
Hugs LLJ xxxx
I love those ladies Neet. There attire and hair dos are just up my street haha.
It’s good to see you keeping up with your icads too. I folllow Mo’s on Facebook
Good news about your leg as well.
Take care

Morning Neet. I rather like those funky figures on the box... I know they are a style I wouldn't use, but I still like them. Goodness - your stack of pan pastels is fantastic - far out weighs my 3 - not three trays, just 3! I like the yellow iCAD with the leaves and butterfly on. I think that's my favourite of them all - but goodness, you have done loads!
Hope the leg continues to improve.
Take care. Stray safe. God bless.

Hi Neet.
I think we all have stuff in our craft rooms that was a good idea at the time but now sits idle. I did have a sort out some time ago and donated quite a bit but there's still plenty more.
Aall and create and fab aren't they. I had to sit on my hands but I've got a wish list for Xmas, trouble is it keep getting longer. Enjoy your Tracey Evans workshop... is there any carrots involved!!
Glad your leg is healing well.
Take care

OO love those images on the box - i have not yet bought any of her stamps but I have drooled a bit over them. Forgot it was Tracy's class this weekend - had better get sorted . I also signed up for a Julie Hickey workshop tomorrow !! eeeK. So glad your poor leg is healing and sorry you have to wear the stocking - do you get a pair? Have a lovely week . Soojay #14
What a busy and productive week you have had Neet - it's fine to use a die cut on your iCADs, it's not that every one is all fancy and coloured, but rather that you are completing them.
Love the figures dancing along the side of your folio, or is it the box - either way they look great.
Yes, we do tend to spend an awful lot on our crafting essentials ;)
Glad to hear that you leg is healing well - pity about the stocking though :(
Stay safe
Blessings
Maxine
HI Neet, you've been busy! I love your Dylusions figures and sounds like a great idea to use them to decorate a box, they look perfect! WEll done for keeping up with your ICADs, I always fall by the wayside :) Looking forward to seeing your book - don't forget! Happy WOYWW-day. Annie C #17
I like to see your iced cards as well as your desk...greedy and nosey!! I understand the thing where it’s not going right with a product and you just end up finishing it to get it out of the way, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been there!! Do you know what, I managed to resist the pan pastels because I just knew I wouldn’t use them enough. I’m happy to say that for once, I was right. I spent a fortune at Christmas on mica paints but barely use them, I should have known better at this age!! Great news about your leg...I had no idea about the wearing of the stocking, gosh, this aging thing isn’t good is it. Once upon a time we healed, maybe had a scar and that was it. Nobody suggested it could break down or need other attention ever!! I have a long pair of scars either side of my forearm, they are over twenty years old and the only time I’m aware of them is if I let the sun burn them. I just assumed it would carry on like that! Argh!! I too am clearing up, hope you enjoy the next workshop, that brilliant Tracy, she’s really fired your mojo hasn’t she!!
Hi Neet, looks like you've been busy. Glad the leg is getting better. my mum wears those stockings for the same reason. She had a wound on her leg, not sure whether it was a small ulcer. It was nealy better so they too the bandage off and put a plaster on which set the whole thing off again and they have found that it is the sticky stuff on the plaster that she is allergic too so hopefully now they can sort it. Take care and have a lovely creative woyww, Angela x11x
I'm late in the day visiting this week but it's better than last week's effort lol.
I've spent the day replenishing my basket of face masks...but as soon as I fill them they sell so it's a bit like painting the Forth bridge :-)
So glad to hear your leg has healed well and they are right in that prevention is better than cure so do your best to tolerate the stocking.
Hugs,

Hi Neet! I'm definitely having a dopey day - I read 'the stripes one' and thought you were using some kind of new'stripey' gelato. Oh we all have way too much stuff don't we, I need to sort some of it over the next few years or it will be left for someone to sort out! Good to hear the nurses are pleased with your leg - I am desperately trying not to have to go the stocking route! I have a phone consult on Friday for my leg lesion. That will be interesting (oh can't believe it lol) Happy woyww, stay well, stay safe, love n hugs Cindy #8
First of all, congratulations re your leg, that must be a great weight off your mind! Second, sorry that your back is still bothering you! I don't know if you remember Rosanne Rosanna-Danna from Saturday Night Live, but she is famous for "If it's not one thing it's another"! I used to love her! Anyway, sounds like you are getting ready for some fun with your workshop, so that sounds great! I love your decorations for your box, and all your i-Cads! they really help to do art every day, don't they! Have a fun week! Lindart #26
Your box is absolutely gorgeous, Neet! You are certainly doing brilliantly with the Dylusions stamps and figures etc. Lovely work. Love the cards too. I agree with you about the pan pastels - I bought some a while back as well, and have hardly used them. They were rather over-priced in my opinion! I really ought to learn how to use them properly.
I am so pleased to hear that your leg is recovering so well. I know it's a bit galling to have to wear a support stocking for ever - I'm in rather the same position with my hernia support pants!! They are huge and rather grannified but at least they have some lace on them!!
Thank you for visiting - so glad you like my outfit! I love mixing and matching and I suppose my style (clothes and house) is "multi-ethnic" lol! My wedding dress was a prime example - mostly Russian inspired but with Indian and Thai influences as well. I have a drawer full of colourful Corrymoor socks and love them - they are ideal for my poor feet with their peripheral neuropathy - they are cool enough to wear all through the summer, but nice and warm for winter too. I'm glad you like my tiny carpets too. I've made a start on the second one now and I'm really enjoying doing them.
I'm glad you are continuing to enjoy the kitty photos! They are so photogenic so it isn't hard. They are always up to something funny too!
I still haven't heard back from the physio and I hope she's not on holiday. There's a month deadline on getting this sorted out. All I want is an appointment for a scan and none of this rigmarole... You are right about them needing to communicate better.
Happy WOYWW,
Shoshi x #19
You've been busy! Glad your leg is doing better! Have a great week!

Good news on the leg and it;s healing Neet, you'll benefit from the stockings. Your icads and dylusion girls are fab. I;m not very fond of gelatos, I find the quite grainy and much prefect neocolor II's, your fine lady stands proud against those stripes.
I spent far too much over the weekend without watching any of the shows but all recorded for a quiet day.. and I said I wasn't buying ANY more stamps for a while...!!
No woyww play time for me as midweek onwards have become extra care days but just wanted to pop in and see what you've been up too and say hello... take care hugs Tracey xx
Hurrah about the leg! Although I can imagine the feeling of having to wear elastic socks. Oh no!But I do know some young ladies (ie kids from school who are teenagers) who have to wear them so don't feel old. Nice ICADS and Dylusions figures too. You've been busy. Hugs-Erika
I too thought you had a stripey gelato - wouldn't that be fun? Love your box and the Dylusions figures - they are fabulous aren't they? Enjoyed spying on your craft room!
Stay safe and keep well!

Glad your leg has healed well Neet - hope the stocking does the trick and keeps it safe and sound! I love all your zany little figures - you have a lot of fun with them don't you. xx Jo
So sorry I haven't visited sooner, my tablet gave up the ghost and had to be factory reset so I'm gradually catching up with everyone and adding all the information and blog links agin. Glad to hear that your leg is on the mend and I'm loving your ICADs especially the daisy one - gorgeous 😁. Looks like you've been busy tidying up your crafting supplies! Take care and sending you happy wishes! Hugs, Jo x
