"I don't think I want any more Adventures" is the quote from Dyan this week. Who chose it I haven't a clue, but does it really matter?
Mine is really sparse but then I couldn't think of anything else to put on in the background. Did wonder if palm trees grew in desert conditions. Never having been to Egypt I have not a clue. No doubt someone will put me right.
It had to be Travelling Travis who appeared on this page, but you might notice I have changed the legs. I always think of Travis as being male and the actual image wears a skirt.
In order to link in with 'Geometric Shapes' at 'Art Journal Journey' I drew some pyramids and tried colouring the faces in different shades of the same orange I used for the background. Think I may have gone a bit heavy on the addition of some brown. Then I added a bright orange sun to give me a circle and if you stretch your imagination you could say there are rectangles where there are words.
Off to see what Wendy has done, now what do we have lined up for next week?

Palm trees certainly grow along the banks of the Nile, but as far as I remember there aren't any in the immediate vicinity of the Great Pyramid - too dry there, maybe?
The bright colours and unsparing red sun certainly remind me of the heat, but Travelling Travis looks as though he's coping okay - despite his grumpy words!

And why couldn't Travelling Travis wear a skirt even if he IS a man, lol? I'm sure Rob would have said the same thing, he, he. Lovely memories.
Great page and lots of geometric shapes, but you haven't linked to AJJ! I think the brown shading on the pyramids is fab, btw - looks really effective.

What a fun page and I love that you gave him trousers! And the pyramids and sun fits not just Travelling Travis but also Art Journal Journey ! Thank you for yet another fabulous entry to our collection! Happy early weekend!
Hugs, Susi
Oh I like the pyramids. And the suitcase body. Travelling Travis is a fascinating character. Hugs-Erika
Must have missed this, as when I first looked it wasn't on, and I've slept since then. Great idea, I'm not sure what Dyan was thinking about when she drew this stamp.
