Well, a big change from yesterday on my desk. Yesterday I had some of my work from the weekends workshops with Abs as I was continuing with one of my watercolour exercises. The weekend was great - good accommodation in The Royal Station Hotel in Carnforth (Carnforth of Brief Encounter fame), and the two workshops with Abs were both good and we learned a lot of new techniques.
Here you can see the stamp I was painting with watercolours on Sunday but the Journal cover I made on Saturday is going on Instagram rather than on here.
I hadn't taken my Inktense pencils so when I got home they came into good use along with one of my tiny watercolour palette and the compact one I got from Mary. I am trying to come to terms with water pens but must admit I still prefer to work with a pot of water and a brush. On the left are some tags which we did on the final afternoon showing all the different techniques we had used.
Now my desk today! What a mess it is. I hope I have done enough Christmas cards as my craft room is out of action for at least a day. The electrician is coming and will need the loft ladder down and he is going to put me a new socket in my craft room. Hurrah!
Hope you all are a bit more ready for the big day than I am - let's go and see what is going on around the desks of the exclusive deskers.

Oh Neet, I do hope you find the 'right' garment before you need to go out. It sounds as though it was a wonderful workshop you attended.
Blessings

Hope you find your outfit... I saw that you'd been at some workshops; thanks to social media! Helen #?
I love that stamp and the way that you have coloured it Neet. Hope you manage to find something to wear and have a great night out. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
Bet you had a ball at the weekend, i'm already thinking about after Christmas and getting some inky & painty time and i've not even got my Tree out yet! You'll cherish that new socket, it's such a bonus to be able to plug in exactly where we need to.
Enjoy your evening and i'm sure you will look gorgeous what ever you decide to wear.

Enjoy your night out. Cant wait to see all the stuff you made with Abs :) As for Christmas, I think I've now sorted most of it (commercial cards again though this year lol). xx
Morning Neet - what a wonderful post. I do hope you manage to find the clothes you really want - and consequently have a wonderful time tonight! The workshops sounded great fun - and what a sensible idea to make tags of all the techniques!
Take care. God bless.

The weekend sounded brilliant and the perfect thing to take your mind off the renovations at home! I do hope you find your outfit ok otherwise you may have to go in a binbag, just like I used to do in the 80's!! Yep, I can't believe that either but it's true...ahhh, those heady punk/New Romantic days!

At least you know what you want to wear - finding it is another matter! For me that challenge is deciding what to wear - it's always a compromise between being comfortable or frumpy LOL! Love you watercolour picture. I can't get to grips with those water brushes either. Hope your house will be back to normal soon - an extra socket is always a good idea - these things are never where you need them most! Thanks for your visit Neet - Oreo says hello - I haven't been taking any photos of him lately - he doesn't photograph well with the flash on and it's too dark otherwise so he's taking a back seat for now. No doubt missing the attention LOL. Have a lovely week! zsuzsa #14
Hit therapeutic isn’t it Neet a brush and water. I kinda agree with brush pens but do like them with DI on ink block though. DI bit easier than most water colours to my mind. I think my Tombow pens are my favourite and from 1992 when first bought them!

Hmm.. well, a bath must provide quite a lot of space for clothes storage, but I wouldn't have thought it's very easy to see what you've got - good luck!
Fabulous watercolouring on that amazing stamp. Sounds like a great workshop weekend (have already seen something about it somewhere... maybe Chris of pearshapedcrafting?). I'm off to see if I can track you down on Instagram without being an Instagrammer (yet).

Hi Neet, saw yours and Chris's photos, looks like you had a great time. I do like that piece you are colouring.Putting in new sockets has been a thing here too. Old Victorian house- most rooms only had one socket when we moved in.Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz X#5
I do love your latest page! It is cool! The playing card images give this some fascinating detail. Hope all is well. Hugs-Erika
Loving the water colour although have to say not got to grips with it myself,
have a good time tonight

Well, Ive got piles of clothes all over the spare room, but haven’t taken over the bath yet...I also know the frustration of not being able to find the one thing I want to wear. Omg it makes me tantrum like a toddler! I’m a bit like you with the water pens, I blow hot and cold...sometimes I don’t think they let me have control!
I love the piece you've coloured, Neet, and isn't your room just gorgeous with all the pink! I love it! So bright and pretty. Thank you for your visit - so glad you enjoyed reading about the kitties. Today has been the quietest of the whole week activity-wise and I've been trying to catch up with the accounts but I'm much too tired and it's all stressing me out!! Roll on January, I say.

getting dressed is the most stressful part of my day- and I don't want to think about mother of the groom dress I need for Sept!
Hi Neet. Hope you found your outfit. I am very ill prepared for Christmas. Found it hard to catch up after that virus. Still making cards :-( Anne x #21
Hi Neet, hope your evening is fun. I am loving the stamped images, gorgeous! Have a great woyww, Angela x15x
Have a great evening and I hope you find the outfit you're looking for. Dorlene #25
I hope you found the outfit you were looking for! Boy, I could use another outlet in my craft room as well, they just didn't foresee how many plugs we would need when the house was built in the 50's! I am intrigued by your watercoloured stamped image, I wanted to see a close-up of it! Thanks for your visit, Lindart #20 PS-going to work is always a joy, I like all of my colleagues!
Was it in the bath...??? I remember from the move that I couldn't find many of my clothes either... I wore my old jeans for days in a row, ha! I, too, prefer painting with a 'normal' brush and never bought one of those water brushes... Thanks for your visit to my blog last week, ave a relaxed weekend! Love from Holland, Marit #16
Fabulous! As I am going in reverse I know that you are mostly sorted now! Wasn't it a fab weekend?! Chrisx
