Jeudi Journal - A Sewing Page

Needless to say this is Wendy's choice - she loves sewing and has lots of lovely fabric books in her workshop that she has done over time.  Her house has many samples of her lovely fabric work that she has done on the various workshops and retreats she has attended.

Me?  No, I am no stitcher and I have tried to convey this in my journal page this week.  (sorry Annie, Jan and Jo)

"A Sewing Survivor" with a hotch potch of a jacket being worn with even more hotch potch accessories she has made herself.  Hope you like it and understand it as I used one of Dyan's stamped heads which has the last word emblazoned across it.

Even though I am no stitcher/sewer now I did make dresses for myself when I was in my 20's.  I also made things for my son including his christening robe and a little suit for his 3rd birthday which he swears to this day I left a pin in the pant leg between the tweed fabric and the lining.  Talk about holding a grudge (he does it lightheartedly - I think!)

I have made curtains and duvet covers etc simple straight sewing nowadays for me.  Mainly because I have no interest these days and once down on the floor to cut out it is hard to get back up.  Old Age!

Well, that is enough of my wittering, would love to read a comment or two so if you can please leave me one.  See you next week with the journal page which is 'hush hush until next week'.

ps doesn't look as busy in real life - ie looks much better, honestly.
