WOYWW 772

Still not got any craftwork I've done so nothing to show you, my WOYWW friends.  Haven't a clue what I have been doing to pass the time (sleeping maybe), but here are some lovely cards handmade by friends for my birthday.  Lots of talent and different techniques here

I really tried to get them nice and straight, guess I should have gone to Specsavers (actually I did  LOL). Aren't I a lucky lady, some beautiful cards and there'd be more if I showed you the commercial ones.

We had a visitor in the front garden the other day.  It was around noon on Saturday, and the next day he was there again, same time, but this time on the back lawn.  Chas went to open the bedroom window when he startled him and Foxy ran off through the garden.  Shows how hungry he must be visiting at the height of the day.  Chas took a little video of hi in the front garden but I can't upload it to here.

Another week has gone by and the weather up north has actually improved.  Yesterday was a lovely sunny day, I had to take my coat off so it must have been warm, when I went to the clinic.  Good news, more improvement on the wound.  I cannot thank Katie enough as she was the nurse who first recommended using the 1% hydrocortisone cream.  I've not shared my knee before but now that it is well on its way here is a photo taken yesterday:

Still a bit of swelling but the peas are helping and it really is so much better as one or two of you who saw it weeks ago will testify.  I feel better in myself so maybe, just maybe, I will get something started later today when my new stamps arrive.

WOYWW 667

I think this week has gone quicker than the last one, and the one before and the one before that.  It is now week 667 for WOYWW fans and that's a lot of weeks in real talk.  Apparently it's 12 years, 9 months, two weeks - or so the converter I consulted said.

I had a birthday but it came and went in a bit of a rush with a business meeting where I had to sign lots of papers and be taken through the Health and Safety bits of signing myself away for a room for our Stamping Club to meet in.  What a different venue it is to the last one.  In my note to the group I said it was "quite adequate" so as not to spoil the surprise.  It is a lovely room and a lovely kitchen is there for our use.

Saturday saw the meeting take place and we almost had a full house with two new members attending but five not able to, two of whom are isolating due to hospital visits pending.

Here is my desk today - the journal is about to be begun, I saw a video of a journal page I liked and tried to recreate it - nothing like the one I saw!  Never been good with a brayer!

All very tidy with just my journal ready to continue for tomorrow.  Just a bit of brayering in yellow and a the small brayer.  Everything has to be cleared away when I start with paint.

Now, as always here are some of my birthday cards

Alexis

Ann & John

Cath

Cath

Chris

Darnell

Dilys

Enid

Gill

Jacqui

Janet

Jayne's Never Ending  Card

Linda

Lorraine

Lynne

Renate

and finally Sue

There was one from my friend Margaret, who is 84 years young, but I cannot scan it and it won't photograph well either so sorry.

The Never Ending card from Jayne goes on and on, opening up in different ways,  I will have to do a video another time to show you.  It really is a beautiful card, but then so is every one of them.  I also had three bouquets and a lovely Cornish Cream Tea all the way from Cornwall, can recommend - the scones were beautiful.

Well, that is it for this week.  Need an early night as I have to be up and out in the morning - and my hair always needs a bit of a fiddling with to look decent.

WOYWW 615 - Lotsa Cards - Grab a Cuppa

Well, it's a week since it was my birthday and what a lot of absolutely wonderful wishes I had plus some gorgeous handmade birthday cards along with some commercial ones.  It was a lovely day and I was in a bit of a daze all day, spending most of it sitting around and chatting on the 'phone and just being happy.  So I am pleased to say that there isn't much to see on my desk as I have lots of cards to show you that some kind people have made.  Grab a cuppa and join me.

Hope Julia (Queen of Deskers here) doesn't mind such a long post - she will probably not bother because of all the gorgeous inspiration in the cards.  Pop over to WOYWW to see what others have on show.

My desk first of all - just some tags I have made for various reasons, a lot of flower girls from a digi download and Marilyn cut out from a present I got from a friend.

and now to my beautiful birthday cards - ready?

Top to bottom: Cindee, Darnell, Jan, June, Lynne, Mags:

Victoria Stampers - Top to Bottom:  Anne, Christine, Dilys,  Jacqui, Lorraine, Sue, Val

and finally

KCUK - another group I am a member of - Top to Bottom: Carmel, Cath, Chris, Gill, Janet, Linda, Mo, Nicki, Renate, Wendy C, Wendy K

My lovely friend, Cath W (the one I did the four room card for the other week) sent me this beautiful concertina book (I had to scan it in two pieces, it was too long for the scanner bed) and she also cut out an "arch book" for me to decorate myself, where she had set me off with the front page.  Cath does the most marvellous backgrounds - I wish you could see them in real life, they are always stunning.

How do I follow that?
