Sassy Studio Designs - Sponsorship

Morning Sassy Fans!
Another sponsors post from me today :)
This one is for The Outlawz and the challenge is "Twisted Easel" - Link is HERE.
I think I've found a new favourite SSD image, Sugar Skull Portrait!!! - Image link is HERE.

You can't see on the pic but the navy backing card is embossed. The red flowers, leaves and silver swirl are all die cuts. I added the pearls to the middle of the flowers to add some extra detail... or to cover the glue! LOL The image itself has been coloured with copics and promarkers. Had to add a bow as it looked  too plain. I also wanted to keep the colour scheme down to just a few colours.

Really enjoyed making this twisted easel card. Hadn't made one for ages!
I hope you join in too :)

My Time To Craft DT - Use Kraft

What a lovely day here, Good Mornign to you all.

One of my favourite types of card use on your creations this week over at My Time To Craft

"Use Kraft"

You can colour on it or mat & layer with it....as long as it can be seen!

The only thing I didn't do was colour on it. I LOVE using kraft card!

As I was using kraft card, I decided to use brown tones on the whole card. The image is from Crafts and Me and I've coloured her using Spectrum Noir pens TN9, TN8, TN7, TN6, TN5, TN4, TN3, TN2 & TN1. The background is my new embossing folder, which I love! it's awesome! I've added quite a few embellsihments on this card which is something a lilly different from me.

Can't wait to see what creations are made up!

My Time To Craft DT - Sympathy

Morning everyone!
Hope you are all well.

I'm off away for the weekend for my Sister-in-Law to be's hen weekend. So this may be a short/quickish post from me.

A subject I always get stuck with for the challenge over at My Time To Craft which is

"Sympathy"

It's a hard subject at the best of times but I wanted to keep the card CAS (Clean And Simple).

A few die-cuts, a bit of embossing, of course there was going to be some twine in there somewhere  and some pearls. The flower and leaf is actually a punch but the ovals and swirl are die-cuts.

Told you it was a short/quick post! Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Don't forget to stop by the blog

Charisma Cardz - Don't be square!!

** WARNING PICTURE HEAVY **

Exactly as it says in the title, this weeks challenge over at Charisma Cardz is

"Don't be square!"

Well, there are a few cards I could enter into this but I'm going to enter the following one as it certainly isn't square! I do love using bracket cards but I dusted down the screen card template...

So here it my card:

Upright
The screen card itself is red card with white shimmer mounted onto green. The white shimmer card has also been embossed with snowflakes and dots. Images have been stamped onto the white shimmer card and coloured in with pro markers. Leaves are punched out of green along with the "Noel" "Joy" and lantern. I love the glittery twirly things!

The middle page is blank as I can then personalise it as and when I need too. Right, ready for the pics..

Apologies for all the pictures.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge

Hello everyone..

I seem to hit n miss with my posting. Had quite a few busy weeks. Lot's of new die's so have been cutting them all out. In between I did manage to make a few cards (this being one of them). Luckily for me, I made this card which fits perfectly in with the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, which is:

"This week's challenge is a…
“Not Just An ORDINARY Card!”

For this weeks challenge you will create a card that is out of the ordinary and not traditional!  No FLAT cards allowed!  This week's card should pop-up, stand up, turn into a box, slide, twist, etc...!  Oh…and don’t forget to stamp!  After all, we don’t call this STAMPtacular for nothing!"
So my card is as follows:
It's a stepper card with the image over the left. Image is by Lili of the Valley and is coloured using pro markers. Trees are my new die's, cut out of white shimmer card. Flowers, Bow, pearls and glittery twizzly spirals. I had lots of fun making them! Although the glitter went everywhere!!
Anyone wondering about the background... I run the card through the printer so the background is printed straight onto the card itself. Saves faffing around.
A few pics of the details.

 Enough jabbering...

Ruby Anniversary

Afternoon..

Right, where to start... Oh yes, the order that I'm about to blog about.....
Now, I'm not one to really make cards from toppers, but when my mate asked if I could make her Mum & Dad's Ruby Anniversary card, from her, I said "Sure, why not" Had a lot of ideas flying round my head, but then my mate said "I've got a topper" Well... woah! Safe to say, I don't like toppers. I find that sometimes you are limited with colours n patterned papers that you can use.. But, after receiving the topper, all was not lost. I'm happy with the end result anyway :)

Wanted to do, let's say... not a normal shaped card, well, the topper wouldn't have fit anyways! So, I went with an 8" by 8" scallop edged card and an A4 box!

So, without much more rambling, here is the finished card:

I'm going to enter this into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge which is

USE DIES and/or PUNCHES

So, my punched items are the leaves and hearts and my die items are the swirl and "40" number.
Think I've rambled on enough now....

Use a Digi...

Fab challenge this week from Crafts & Me ... Use a digi.. I do have stamps, but I do prefer Digi's! And I love this Digi image!

Image is called Cali Girl. She was perfect for this card for an 18th Birthday. Colour scheme is White/Grey/Blue/Silver. Had 3 cards to deo for the same person. So here is just one of them :

Pretty plain and simple but I think it looks classy.

Totally Tilda & Bunting

Well as it says in the title, Totally Tilda & Bunting.. Does exactly what it say's on the tin! LOL

Right then, so the Totally Tilda blog is having a DT call.. with a picture as inspiration. I've used the colours as inspiration, well as near as I could get.

The idea for bunting came when I was sat in my Auntie's last sunday and my cousin was cutting out the shapes. I said "oh, I could put tilda's on each one n put Abigail's name on it. She can put it in her room then" so that's what I have done. Each one represents what Abigail does. She loves football, she always picking flowers or dressing up in pretty dresses.

Took a while to make mind! Here are some close up pictures of the indiviual pieces:

Gymnastic Tilda, Spring Tilda, Tilda with Flowers

Sitting Tilda, Dressed up Tilda

Football Tilda, Heart Apron Tilda

Each piece I've tried to do different and add different detail to it. Think I've managered to pull it off!

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Creative day today

Was having a creative day today. Still got loads of ideas buzzing round too but here are the other cards I made..

Card One : Diva! Yes, I did draw the swirl and yes I did stick all the gems on individually! Took ages!!

Card Two : Cali Girl...  This image was actually coloured by my Mom. She got all excited when I showed her that I had put the image onto a card :) bless. Just need to add a sentiment.

Card Three : My Guy Ian... a cute & fun boys card.

30/01/2012

Really wanted to add this...

Made this the other day.. not to enter into any challenges, but I just LOVE it! The digi image was a baragin too :)

Abigail

So it's the Lil Cousin's birthday next month and as I have to make a few cards, thought I would make a start. Funnily enough, the image is JUST like Abigail! hahaa....

Entering the card into a few challenges too. So without further ado, here's the card....

And the challenge's I'm entering my card into:

Very girly but she is like a fairy on a rock cake sometimes! LOL! Have stitched the edges together too. Gone a bit mad with the stitching again! It's getting straighter too.

Close up of the detail :

Image has been coloured using pro markers and yet again..... more punched butterflies!!

Thanks for popping by :)

Very pleased today :)

Why do all your ideas usually come to you just before you go to bed?! Honestly!

This happened to me last night, but I did end up making this card anyways and I must say, I'm really pleased with the outcome :) So without further a do... here is my card :

I am entering my card into the following blog challenges..

Simon Says Stamp Challenge was to use "spots and/or stripes" I couldn't find any stripes that was the right colour so stayed with the spots. Had much fun stitching the card as well! The cotton kept breaking much to my enjoyment LOL! The sketch is fab! Infact, I've just used it to make another card as well.

Here's a few close ups of the detail..

Close up of details and butterflies.

For the glittery twizzly things, check out Mandy's blog. She has a tutorial on the blog :) Really effective but really messy when making them, well I made a mess anyways lol.

Butterflies have been punched out in the co-ordinating cream card. The bodies have been coloured in using pro markers, the same as the image. It was hard colouring on the cream card tho. The card seemed to soak up the pens. But it turned out okay still.

Thanks very much for popping by :)

Crafts & Me Challenge - Pearls & Swirls

Well, I think i've been quite clever for this challenge! :)

So the card is being entered into the :

Crafts & Me Challenge of "Pearls & Swirls"

I have used pearls & swirls but...... the card I have used is "pearl"-ised! ;)

The image is a digi image and it is such a versatile image to use. This, as you can see is for my mate's 21st off us girls from work :)

Papertake Weekly.... "First Christmas"

This weeks challenge on Papertake Weekly is:

"First Christmas."

"It’s our  first Christmas challenge of the year here at Papertake so it’s self explanatory really. You can make a Christmas card or you can make a First Christmas card – tis up to you and either will be fine."

To follow on the theme of "First" I have made a christmas card but I have made it with my new Lili of the Valley Stamp "Moonlight Wishes", so it's a "first christmas" card using this image... and I must say.... I love it!

"Moonlight Wishes"

The window is acetate which has been stitched on using my New Sewing Machine (first time of using it) with gems, snowflakes, flowers and swirls added. The pink paper that is on the inside of the card is actually pearlised too. (it was a baragin!) The snowflakes are a die cut and have been cut out of white glitter card.

Here's a few more pictures of the details:

Crafts & Me Challenge - Blue, Green & Pink

Frosted Rose
Well not necessarily a colour combo I would use, but I played along with the Crafts and Me Challenge anyways....

I must admit tho, I do LOVE this image of "Frosted Rose". She is soooo versatile. I don't think it's possible to ever get fed up of this image, although after looking at the website, I think I will be purchasing more! Such stunning images.

Now, onto the card  it's self then.......

As I said, never really used this colour combo before but really pleased with the outcome. The swirl is a die-cut which I have cut out of the pink spotty paper. The tea roses are absolutely gorgeous! With their pink centers they really set the white off. The leaves are punched out of the matching green card.

Close up of Frosted Rose
The image is coloured using promarkers, colours used were apple, china blue & cocktail pink along with terrocota (hair), satin, blush & dusky pink for the skin.

Love the Scallop cards as well. You can create such wonderful cards with them. Will definately be purchasing more!

Only 2 weeks till the Hobbycraft Show at the NEC........ eeeek! I'm gonna be skint!!!

Well, thanks for reading the rambling! Much appreciated. Would love to know your thoughts :)

Something New

Good Morning..  Hope you all had a great christmas & fab new year too.  We are finally back with a new challenge over at My Time ...
