Green with Snowflakes

Afternoon peeps!

Whilst my internet is deciding to play along, I thought I'd write this post up.

I don't know about you, but when I started doing this card I thought "Why did I offer to do this?!" I had a complete mind blank, specially with it being for a mate's mom which is off him!! Eeeeek! After much deliberation, I finally have something that I'm happy with....

Full Card
Originally, I wanted to do the card white with white glitter but you might know that the glittered snowflake vellum wouldn't show up! Grrr... I thought about the other usual christmas colours but I wasn't happy with any of them. Then I came across this green mirror card. Sorted. Finally I could use the vellum that's benn sat in my drawer for over a year! I've stitched the vellum to the green as to not have any glue marks. The ribbon is also stitched to the card with the bow being attatched by a brad. Got to add a little bit of bling. The snowflakes and flowers are die cuts with the leaves being punched out of the green card, white card and vellum. A couple of hat pins and some gems and finished.

Here's a few more pics...

Snowflakes
I think really that the snowflake should have been bang in the corner but beggars can't be choosers!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

1. Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
2. Oldie but a Goodie - Ribbon and/or Lace
3. Creative Craft - Non-traditional Christmas Colours

Thanks for popping by!

Geeky Mae

I absolutely LOVE the girlies from Some Odd Girl
They do fit pretty much any occasion and are suitable for any age.
The boys are very cute too :)

So, the card itself is for Fay, she has Gok style glasses and loves pale blue. Perfect!

The image has been coloured using Spectrum Noir pens. Fabulous. They blend so well. The "13" was printed and cut out by hand. It's the design to look a little rough around the edges ;)
The layout is from the Papertake Weekly Challenge which I'm entering this card into, Sketch #84.
I didn't think spots, stripes, gingham and stars would go but I'm pretty happy with it.

Here's a few more photos:

Just because....

... you're my Mom!

Well, can say I'm pretty much chuffed with this. Took long enough to do with cutting all the laters out!

The image itself is actually 3 different digi images from Tiddly Inks made into 1. It's for
Mother's Day from a daughter. The daughter also has a little dog and I've tried to colour him the same as their dog. His a little rogue! So holding a balloon is very fitting. The images are also layered. Yes it took a looooooong time but I'm please with the outcome.

Enough rambling.....

Hello there Tilda...

Feel like I've negelected my Tilda's of late.. So I thought I'd use some on my cards today.

First card up is one for my lil Cousin for her 10th Birthday. Tilda has been coloured to look like her, as she does. Plus, if my lil cousin could wear a dress everyday like a princess, I think she would!

So onto the card, must say, do love a bracket card.

Tilda has been coloured using promarkers. The card is slightly darker than it looks. The pink backing paper is glittered too.

Papertake Weekly - Ribbons & Pearls

Second post of the day then...
This time, our attentions are on the Papertake Weekly Challenge, which is :

 "Ribbons & Pearls"
… so all you have to do is include either / or or both somewhere on your card on project.

I've used both, plus some other details. I am actually pleased with the outcome. I didn't think the papers matched the backing paper but I works.

So, here is the card in question:

Totally love the "Some Odd Girl" digi's. They are soooo versatile. The card itself is quite simple but the details make it elegant. The Heart the couple are holding has been printed onto the same backing paper and has been cut out. The same with the girl's headband. Image has been coloured using promarkers.

Think I'll be using this image again! You can find the shop here - Some Odd Girl

Second post done... on to the next.
