Red Poppies

Today's card features a poppy covered embossing folder that I received with some choccy eggs for Easter. It wasn't in its original packaging, and has no branding on it, so if you recognise it, please let me know the details! I used it to emboss a snippet of red card. I stamped a sentiment, using one of the stamps from the 'Brushstroke Expressions' set by My Favorite Things onto another snippet of the same red card using a white pigment ink, then heat embossed it using white embossing powder. I distressed the edges of both snippets a little, then added them to a white card blank.

Burst into Bloom Thank You

I have a simple 'Thank You' card to share today. The floral stamp is called 'Burst into Bloom' by Woodware Stamps. I stamped it onto a piece of smooth white card, along with a sentiment stamp from the 'Brushstroke Expressions' set by My Favorite Things, then coloured it using watercolour pencils. I matted it onto a piece of pink card, distressing the edges a little, before adding it to a white card blank.

Guest Designer - Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge

And, I'm back with another Guest Designer post...this one is for Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge, where the theme this fortnight is as always:

'Anything Goes'

I started with a piece of paper from the 'Ink Drops Vivid' pad from Craft Consortium, then stamped my 'Floral Garden' stamp from Simon Says Stamp onto it using Versamark ink, and then heat embossing it in white. I added a sentiment using a stamp from the 'Brushstroke Expressions' set by My Favorite Things', heat embossing in white to match. I distressed the edges, then added it to a white card blank.

PBSC May - Anything Goes (Optional 'Monochrome')...More Inspiration!

It's the third Saturday of the month, so that means it's time for some more inspiration for this month's Penny Black Saturday Challenge...where the theme is:

'Anything Goes'
or
'Monochrome'

We're currently without a sponsor, so this challenge is just for fun.

I used another Penny Black floral stamp...this one is called 'Blossom Branch'. I stamped it directly onto a kraft card blank using Verssamark ink, then heat embossed it in white. I added a sentiment from the 'Beautiful Blessings 2' set by My Favorite Things...heat embossing it in white to match the flowers.

Stylised Poppies

Today's card features a floral stamp that I picked up in a charity shop last week. I have no idea what brand it might be, it was just a single grey rubber cling stamp in a cellophane bag, so if anyone recognises it, please do let me know! I stamped it onto a kraft card blank, along with a sentiment from the 'Brishstroke Expressions' set by My Favorite Things, then coloured it using watercolour pencils.

Botanical Border Notecards

I have a set of notecards to share today...made using some of the goodies I won a little while ago over at Pixie's Snippets Playground. The silhouette botanical border stamp is one of the 'Backdrops Borders' by Bee Crafty and the sentiments are from the 'Brushstroke Expressions' set by My Favorite Things. I used my Tim Holtz stamping platform to make sure that the stamps were in the same position on each card...and made one set using 'Audrey Blue' and another using 'Wisteria' ink by Simon Says Stamp. The are two of each card in each colour.

Pile It On! Challenge - Primary Colours and/or Something Beginning with S

It's the third Sunday of the month, so we have more inspiration, and a bonus theme for this month's Pile It On! Challenge! The themes this month are:

'Primary Colours'
&
'Something Beginning with S'

Our sponsor for this challenge is KennyK Stamps:
KennyK-Stamps-BADGE-IRockWITH-green
Prize - 3 Digi Stamps of the winner's choice!
(NB - The KennyK Stamps shop has closed it's doors, but is sponsoring our challenge one last time)

I made a simple one layer card this time using some cute dinosaur stamps from the 'You're Rawr-some' set by My Favorite Things...I'm not 100% sure...but I think that the one on the left is  'Stegosaurus', so I'm using him as my something beginning with S. I masked off my 'Stegosaurus' using a Post-It note so that I could stamp the 'Triceratops' behind him. I coloured the dinosaurs in Primary Colours using wtercolour pencils, and added  sentiment from the same stamp set.

Here are the challenges I've piled on:

Pile It On! Challenge - Interactive Cards

It's the first Sunday of the month, so we have a brand new Pile It On! Challenge starting today, and the theme is:

'Interactive Cards'
(Think slider, shaker, pop-up, pocket)

We are sponsored for this challenge by Gerder Steiner Designs:
Prize - $15 Store Coupon!

I made a birthday card for my friend's daughter, who will be turning four in a week's time. She's really into dinosaurs, so I used stamps from the 'You're Rawr-some' set by My Favorite Things. I paper pieced the dinosaurs with paper from the 'Happy Day' pad by My Mind's Eye, and added a couple of sentiments from the same stamp set.

I kept the outside really simple...as I wanted to make a pop-up Dinosaur head inside:

This was really simple and quick to do...I sort of followed the instructions in this video...using paper from the 'Stella & Rose - Mabel' pad by My Mind's Eye. I used the Paper Smooches 'Graffiti' alphabet stamps to add the wording inside.

Here are the challenges I've piled on:
