A couple more....

tags that is, for the Crafty Individuals Challenge this month.
This one's stamped on some of the Crafty Individuals card, with a bit of stencilling in the background, using CI-405:

And this one, which I've saved 'til last, uses that gorgeous Alice Palace turtle, one of the latest releases:

Meanwhile, I'd just like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came along to the Craft Barn this weekend for the Extravaganza and made it such a fantastic occasion. I really enjoyed myself - it was lovely to meet lots of you and have a natter.
And also many thanks to all those at the Craft Barn busy beavering away behind the scenes to make it all run so smoothly.

Thanks for looking!

All Boxed in!

Well, I've now finished my project for the Craft Barn Extravaganza Masterclass on Friday 6 June and it went from this:

to this:

I've used the JOFY limited Edition paint colours, but as always you're welcome to choose your own colour palette. The die cuts have been especially sized and cut by Di from Tando to fit the Lynne Perrella stamps.

This is a big project with lots of techniques and also functional! What more could you ask for? So, if you fancy joining us on the day, just click on this link or phone them up on 01737 822961

Extravaganza excitement....

Now, I know you might think it's a long way off, but for those of us demoing and taking classes, The Craft Barn Extravaganza is getting closer and closer!
I'm demoing on the Saturday and Sunday and also, for the very first time, taking a Master Class, which I'm very excited about. This is what we're going to be decorating:

I'm planning on using the latest Lynne Perrella stamps, Fresco paints, real copper metal and some chipboard pieces from Tando that Di's making up especially. This is a big project and going to be great fun as well as functional, so if you fancy coming along, my class is on the Friday 6th June.
When I've actually made the project, I'll post a (very) sneak peek.

Softly, softly....

Here I've used softer colours from the oil pastel set in the middle of the card and then sprayed round the edge with Dylusions inks. The oil pastels act as a resist, so the spray ink only seeps into any tiny gaps left. You get an almost weathered paint effect:

The circus collage is built up with the Oxford Impression Circus stamps.
I'm going to be demoing all this and more at the Craft Barn Extravaganza this Saturday and Sunday, so come along and say hi!

Roll up! Roll up!

It's nearly time for the Craft Barn Extravaganza, so I thought I'd post some pics this week of what I'm demoing.
I'm working with the Oxford Impressions circus stamps (2 different sets), Faber-Castell oil pastels and Dylusions inks, along with stencils and some other stuff.
Here are some tags I've made:

Both the oil pastels and spray inks give lovely, bright colours!

Do come along if you can - there's loads of demos going on - something for everyone! And, it's all free!

Great Weekend

Well, I had a great time at the Craft Barn Extravaganza - they always look after you so well - coffee kept appearing and sandwiches etc. There were some really interesting demoers (is that a word?) there - I managed to have a quick look round on the Sunday before it all started.

I met some lovely people, so if you came by, many thanks for making it such an enjoyable two days. I wittered away to my heart's content!!!

Forgot my camera so couldn't take general photos - just got a few more of the samples:

These three are double layer tags:

All tags and stamps are Crafty Individuals.

Sorry to all of you who didn't get a birdhouse template for the tags - I just didn't print off enough! So here is the scanned image for you which I think you should be able to print out!

Thanks for looking!

WOYWW

Well I haven't shown you my mess for ages so, as it's WOYWW, I thought I'd share!
I'm very busy at the moment getting ready for the Craft Barn Extravaganza - I'm demoing the new Crafty Individuals pre-printed tags, although they're so beautiful in their own right, you could just sit there and stroke them and be quite happy!
Here's the first two pics of my actual art room (no, those pics in Craft Stamper didn't lie!):

And here's the dining room table - I've decided it's a bit like the Day of the Triffids in my house - leave a space and I'll grow into it and take it over!

If you're coming to the Craft Barn make sure you stop by and say hello.

Craft Barn Extravaganza and Crafty Individuals!

I've been doing a lot of work with Crafty Individuals stamps lately as I'm very excited to have been asked to demo them at the next Craft Barn Extravaganza on September 11th and 12th. This is the first time I've demo'd there and I'm really looking forward to it, if a bit nervous! If you see a mad looking woman in the corner with her glasses stuck on her head and inky fingers, that'll be me!!!

I've been making samples like mad and will show you some sneak peeks nearer the time. Suffice to say the Saturday will have a seaside theme and the Sunday a more Christmassy feel.

Meanwhile, here are a couple of tags I made using a real mixture of their stamps. I wanted to see how many layers I could build up without losing the plot! The little girls are from one of their newest sets. Each tag started out sprayed with Mint Green Cosmic Shimmer spray. The material at the top is from an old silk skirt - the colours just seemed to go.

Here are the two together:
