Happy Sunday! But beware of that weather out there (for those living in Michigan), geesh, rain, thunder, lighting, more rain, then throw in some tornadoes! Today I took a quick trip to Target, not having listened to the radio or anything, get there and they tell me I have 2 choices, 1. I can go to the back of the store to sit in their safe zone or 2. I could leave. I guess we had a tornado warning and they couldn't let me shop. So on the way back home (I chose to leave) I had to maneuver around 2 downed trees and a ton of debris! I guess maybe I shouldn't have been out there. :) So lets get on to today's card.
I got my very first order from Waltzingmouse stamps last week and was not able to do anything with them till this weekend. I was so anxious to get this doily set inked up and so I thought I would play along with their challenge too. I chose 4 colors that were inspiring to me, although not really springy or summery I do how they all went together. The DSP is from my new Basic Grey paperpack. The sentiment came with the doily set, aren't they just gorgeous? Maybe you'll join us!

Birthday Wish!
The DSP is Basic Grey and layered on Stampin Up cardstock. The border punch is one that I have had for years, it is a fiskars (dark blue) one and I found it in the bottom of my punch drawer. Gotta love when I find something I have not used in so long, makes me feel like I just got something new!
Have a great day!

Coffee and Cream
Hello everyone and Happy Friday! Thanks for making a little stop here as I am sure you have lots of stops to make- I feel blessed! My card today- I have to apologize for the photo because it really doesn't do it any justice. The card itself is simple but it is also elegant but the picture is, well lets put it this way- I was sooooo struggling with it.
The base of the card is Neenah cream carstock. Then I used some DCWV linen closet (creams, browns and some blues). The sentiment (SU) is stamped with brown momento and cut with the nestabilites, layered on top of another cream nesties that is embossed with the fleur folders. Add a button and little twine and a "masculine" birthday card. Dontcha think?
Have a great day! Heidi

Snowday Friends
Ok, this is the picture that I chose for inspiration. Now don't laugh, I saw it and it reminded me of this little image- a little bird sitting on a cup of cocoa- so I thought I would go with it for the Flourishes challenge again.
This sweet card is made with a Forever Friends image that I got from a friend, after I saw them on her blog. I just fell in love with these little guys. And who can resist a little bear and bird friend? I was giggling when I was thinking about how warm that little bird is sittingon the cup of hot cocoa................. see my little marshmallows? A little dab of liquid pearls there and on the ground for snow and it works perfect.
I hope you enjoy the card this wonderful Sunday!

Flowers, Butterflies, Oh MY!
Today's card I made upon request for a friend that wanted a birthday card for her daughter who likes flowers, butterflies and "girlie" So what do you think? I showed it to my husband and he felt that I had hit the nail on the head. LOL! I guess he doesn't do "girlie"
So because I wanted it to be special and "girlie" I used the border punch along the sides, I just think that this looks so pretty. Then I used a SU set to just add the grass, or in this case the flower stems. See that tiny butterfly? Well I just picked that one up this week....... for some reason I am into butterflies. Don't you find that as a child you always saw butterflies and now- nada? I miss seeing them and still get excited when I actually see one flitting around. So this card is inspired by that. I hope that her daughter will enjoy it.
Thanks for stopping in today!
Challenges:

Shy Easter Greetings!!!!
Oh happy day to you all............. once again, I am going with a springy card with a little glimmer!
Say hello to this sweet little Shy Bear, a gift from my dear friend Cindy for my birthday. The one thing I will say is that they are very large stamps so this card is a big one at 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. I colored him with my copics which I feel like I have been neglecting a great deal lately. It truly was fun though! In this second photo- I tried to capture the glimmer/sparkle that I added to the flowers. They really do shine and I can't wait to get this in the mail for its recipient.

Who Me?
I know, post number two for today- but I got busy the other night and had a couple extra I wanted to show you all.
(chuckling) isn't he just cute? This little guy I made for the Etsy Inspired Challenge- this one is a first for me. They choose a etsy store and then you browse the store and choose anything in the store to make your project off of. I thought this little owl was adorable and so this is my take on him. The card itself is the inverted circle nesties and then I hand drew the little owl onto DSP. He is busy but I just love him.
Have a great evening!
God Will Find Me
This one is for the Stampin Sisters Challenge. We had to make a card that showed that God is with us all the time, even though we don't recognize him or acknowledge him. I know I have days that I don't seek him out- but I always know that he knows where I am and can find me, and tell me to get my act together.
Have a fabulous day!

You make a difference
Hey- it is SATURDAY! Today I need to do some errands but I am also going to do a little "shopping" for a friend of mine who I owe a little holiday package to (Sue) and want to finish up some purchases. But before I head out, I wanted to show you a little card I made.
I got a few new stamps this last week and had to ink them up for a couple challenges I am enjoying. This one is a sketch challenge at the little paper shop......... it was fun but definately a challenge for me to use the circles and squares together.
So go and have a great day!

Holiday Blessing
Today's card I made using Mojo Monday sketch 110! I had fun with this one because I reached in and pulled out this designer paper and thought, "Ok, now make your card from this." So it ended up being a holiday card in a way but also a way to let someone know how thankful and blessed you are to have them in your life, which was my goal for the Sisters in Christ Challenge. It is simple and yet efficient! Thanks for stopping in today- hope to be back tomorrow!

Just a couple challenges..........
Monday, October 19, 2009
I have finally gotten a chance to use one of my new stamps that I got from 7kids pre-order. I just love this little bear and robin by Gillian Roberts. I wanted this card to have a little vintage look to it so I did alot of weathering on it and smudging some extra ink. PLUS, see the fabric? I used some old cloth that I tea stained years ago and stamped some snowflakes on it. The paper is from my new Cosmo Cricket packs(Oh yeah, another favorite!). As always, my bear is inked in Memento tuxedo black and colored with copics!
I hope you all have a splended day!
