Hunny Bunny

So glad that you have time to stop in today, I know with the holidays coming so quickly it gets more difficult to get to your blogs. But I wanted to do a non- Christmas card as we will soon be thinking of Valentine's Day. So I went to my stamps and I just love these little CC Designs (Hunny Bunny) and thought it would make for a cute holiday card. I used BitterSweet Basic Grey paper as well.

The punches are all MS and the nestabilities label six, this was my first time to use it and I just love this new shape. Oh and I finally got all my nestabilities organized, and if you are looking for a good organization for them, check this out HERE!

Do you hear an Angel?

I just had to make one more holiday card with this sweet angel. I didn't really need anymore but I only got to use her for a short time and their little faces are so sweet. Looking at her though in the picture she looks very pale (more so than in real life) so I hope she is not getting sick. (wink).

This is one of the sweet well known CC Designs that I got from Kelly over at KLSNS. And of course I was able to play with my copics, it had been 10 days since I had crafted with all the travel and holiday decorating that I had done.

And check it out, Kelly is offering $10 off any order of $50 or more right now with code Dec2009 and as always, Magnolia's are 10% off.

Merry Christmas

Even though I am pretty much done with Christmas cards I still had this stamp that my SCS friend Jackie sent to me last year so I wanted to ink her up. The DSP is a stack of K&Co that I bought on clearance last year. I love the deep red/marron and the olive.
I thought it would be nice to decorate the inside of the card as well- keeping is simple but coordinating it with the front. Now I can just write in my message and send it off to that someone special.

Brrrrr..............

Hello everyone, I hope that you all are having a wonderful weekend. I hosted a bazaar yesterday at church that went well, but boy was I beat. Wonderful crafters....... such talent out there!

So last night had to get to workin on a card. I used the Friday sketch challenge to make this card. The image is one of cuteness, and I am sure you can all tell it is a CC design (Nora) that Kelly over at KLSNS sent to me. . She is ready for the cold weather we are getting here I will tell you. I colored her with my copic markers, mounted her on Cosmo Cricket papers that are all layered with SU papers. The punches are our favorite, MS snowflake and icicle borders. I spritzed the snowflakes with glimmer mist as well so they coordinated with the paper.

I hope you find it warmer by you- otherwise just dress up like Nora! LOL. Have a great day!

Angel Emma

Ooooooh, I got this in the mail this last week from Kelly at KLSStampinNScrappin! It is one of three Emma Angels that comes as a set! is she not the cutest angel you've seen (well except for your own of course). She definately has the Sugarplum face that we all just love. I colored her with my copic markers and layered her on some Basic Grey papers. The little angel charm is one that I got last year from a friend and thought it went perfectly. I hope you find her as fun as I have- and that these cards are giving you inspiration to work on your own Christmas cards.

Have a Blessed Day!

Waitin on Santa

Good Morning!

Today's card I am showing you is for the KLSNS Snowflake Challenge as well as the Friday Sketcher Challenge. This image is a High Hopes image and I got it this last year and I just love it. I have 2 cats and I have on occasion found them in the tree peering out at me. I can't say they've hung on the branch like that but they are a little heavy for that. But lets say we do weight the tree down because of them.

I colored the image with my copic markers and then around the edges I just used a sponge to soften the stark white cardstock. I have gotten so I have been doing this alot and the air compressor works well for this too! I have also used the MS ornament punch and the branch punch on this card.

Just wanted to remind you that you can join the KLSNS Snowflake challenge and win a gift certificate and a stamp from Kelly so come on over and check it out. Plus you can use code NOV5 and get $5 off orders of $30 or more. And then of course, she is carrying the High Hopes now too.

I hope you all have a blessed Sunday!

Oh my, I am late! I had done this card as soon as Kelly sent me this stamp and what was I thinking? I totally forgot to load it- real life sometimes just gets into my way! So here it is, this is one of the new High Hopes that Kelly has in the store: Clarabelle and Riley.
The paper is from the Basic Grey Indian Summer pack- aren't they nice colors for the fall? I love of course that they added those pinks in there too!
So I hope that we will see you participating in the October Challenge because Kelly is so generous offering ups sweet prizes! Also free shipping for another week on orders over $30. Check out all the new High Hopes remembering that these are only available through a couple stores anymore, High Hopes is not selling them directly to the consumers and Kelly was lucky to be able to obtain them.
And have a Blessed Week!

Can you tell I am in the mood to make some holiday cards and gift cards? This top one could easily be used as a place setting card. It is only about 2.5 inches tall but a gift card could be attached to the inside with a little sticky. I have a little holiday wish stamped on the inside top so I can use it either way! Or if you were having company and wanted to label the holiday dishes, these little cards could sit in front of the dishes........ oh I am hosting this year and I think that I just might do that!
This one is a holiday gift card holder. I wanted to make something for my niece as I almost always purchase her a card to her favorite store. This will fit into a regular sized envelope making it easy to mail as well without being too bulky.
I hope you get some ideas with these two cards!

Treats for you!

Oh I just love this little box. It is one that I put together a template for one evening this week and will include the details below. The stamp of course is Pixie Heidi sitting in flowers, I wanted it to be fallish but honestly didn't have a stamp to use. So instead I thought, she could be sitting in the last flowers left but they will be fall colored! Kelly has some of the newest Pixies available for pre-order right now- they are all tooooo darned cute too! I have colored Heidi with copic markers as well. Once the box was put together I punched out the leaf but you could use any shape and then I used a transparency to make the clear see through covering. Isn't it a perfect treat box?

Details for the box:

12 x 7 1/2 piece of cardstock

Length wise you score at 1/2, 4 1/2, 6, 10, and 11 1/2

Width wise you score at 1 1/2 and 5 1/2

Then you will cut the outside score lines at the 4 1/2 and 6 inch and then the 10 and 11 1/2

Once you have creased all your score lines adhere the 1/2 in score inward. Then assemble the box.

Reminder: there is a attached lid to the box. The flaps that are actually between the 10in and 11 1/2 in score I cut them and wrapped the outside flap around it so that it was a clean box top.

I hope this helps! And have a great day!

Adventurous Edwin

Ok, Ok.......... it is like midnight and I just finished this card. I thought this Edwin on the bike was so natural, so all American and perfect for any little boy card. So I settled in to make this card, it is all American right? Red, white, blue and well- I guess a splash of green! Ok, I am not done there......... in my mind I envisioned Edwin in the bathing ring, so here is another take using this same stamp!
So I am kind of excited as I used two of the Magnolia stamps. I took the Edwin riding a bike and then of course the bathing ring and put them together. It is not perfect- but I will perfect it but I think that it turned out really cute. I was disappointed that they didn't make an edwin to go in the tube- so I had to make my own. I really wanted to show the versatility of some of these stamps because although Tilda is the sweetest, I have boys- so I am partial to Edwin.

So- not only can you get the Magnolia stamps at a discount at KLSNS but guess what else is new over there?

NEW Magnolia Collection at KLSNS

Today is another wonderful Sunday............ and I am excited to show you all this fun little project that I spent a good part of Friday evening working on. I have been telling myself I need to make something "other than a card!" Of course there are wonderful ideas out there and so I chose this one to present today!
This little image is one from the new Magnolia line "A Little Yummy for your Tummy"called Baking Tilda. I am just loving her and my first project for this was this little accordian folder.
I know there are a few different tutorials on this and I got mine from Val's blog. I was thinking that this will make the sweetest little dessert or cookie file folder and a great little gift to maybe someone just starting out. Don't you think? One thing I will say is be sure your envelopes are NOT the privacy ones. I also decorated the end of my tab so I had it come through from the backside so that you can see it. I just like the look a little better.
For those of you that are bakers- this little Magnolia has to be a MUST in your collections. And you can find them now on pre-order over at KLSNS right now- where you always get 10% off on Magnolia's. Plus you can save $5 on all orders of $30 with code SAVE5.

Best for You!

Well fall is certainly in the air here in Michigan even though we are having a wonderful holiday weekend (a last taste of summer, which isn't very long here anyways!). So I got this sweet little Jam Tilda from the fall kit from a friend of mine and I had to ink her up. I added a pumpkin to give it the warmth. As many of you know I am not a huge halloweener, even my kids could care less about it ............. so the sentiment is a little different because I really wanted to be able to 'use' this card (since I do not send out halloween cards). Anyways- the sentiment is from two different Stampin Up sets that I pieced together. But I think it will work. So I am entering this in the Stamp Something Challenge: had to use a favorite stamp and punch.....the punch is the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo and if you can't find it- you can get it here.

The new Magnolia collection is available for pre-order over at KLSNS.

MOJO is going..........

This little sweetie will be entered in the MoJo Monday Challenge, I thought it was a interesting sketch and just had to try it out. I love this little Pixie Greta in the oval nestability and I didn't even think that she had to have a layer under her with the other papers I chose. The DSP came from a paperpack that I had which I believe was K&Co. The little paperclip which I love sending as gifts, is from making memories I do recall. I know this is a short and sweet update but busy week so this weeks will be short but I have alot to post this week- challenges are keeping me busy!

Pixie Paper Clip Card

Hello everyone and I hope you have had a wonderful weekend. I always love early Sunday morning and then into the afternoon but as it grows to be Sunday evening I am saddened, that I have to return to work the following morning! So I try to make the most of my Saturday and Sunday- as I am sure you all do as well.

Today's little card is one that I found while I was re-organizing and putting my stamping area back together. So I thought I would put it to use vs putting it in a pile somewhere and it worked just heavenly for this little pixie Greta. The paper is Bo Bunny- some left over from another project that I wanted to sue up- some SU grosgrain and the paper clip is from Making Memories I do believe. I love to make these cards and send them to my friends and staff: it is like a card and gift all in one don't you think? I love paperclips so this is a good one for me.

Ok, now everyone off to do some fabulous crafting and enjoy your Sunday! Don't forget that Kelly has free shipping on orders over $50 at KLSNS through tomorrow!

Wheelbarrow of Happiness

So I had to ink up Leisel with her wheelbarrow that I also got over at KLSNS. I just love these new pixie girls from CC Designs. I think because they are little pixies and they do have a face, the perfect solution for those that struggle with the faceless kids (which I do not!). Lets face is, one of thems name is Heidi so I have to love them and it is easy!

This card is stamped with memento so I can use the copics without any trouble, and for those that frequent me, know I use neenah paper as well. The paper is some from Basic Grey June Bug pad again. This is a wonderfully bright and cheerful paper pack. I then used one of the large SU eyelets to thread that beautiful satin ribbon through- talk about a nice feeling. The flower is a prima that I took the little polka dot circle that I punched out the eyelet hole with and used a epoxy sticker over it and stuck in the middle of my prima. The next card I do I am going to put something in that little wheelbarrow.

Tata for now! Heidi

Just sitting in the flowers......

Oh my......... what do you think? I got my sweet little Heidi in flowers in the mail this week and I could not wait any longer (working on some other projects that I had to put on hold). This has to be one of my fav cards although I don't think that it photo as well as I would like but after 10 photo I gave up!

She is stamped with memento ink on neenah cardstock and then colored with my copic markers. The DSP is Basic Grey June Bug that I also got from Kelly over at KLSNS. I have gotten so bad, and I am sure that many of you are like me, but I am buying ALL the Basic Grey pads because they are so yummy. I don't think that I would even have to see them- I would just order them. I was at Hobby Lobby the other day and they had a Holiday Sampler and the papers were so gorgeous. Anyone see it yet?

Well I am off to get some work done- you all have a fabulous Thursday!

Edwin on Display

Happy Sunday!

This project is kind of an "off spring" of the project I did earlier this week. I wanted to do something more than a card and I am behind on scrapbooking and thought this little album would be perfect for on the coffee table or any display. It will hold 3 nice size pictures in the middle and then you can add some journaling on the tag that I have that fits into the pocket on the right- plus you could add a photo above it. I also made that a pocket behind Edwin as well.

The image of course is Chasing Edwin from the Catching Butterflies Magnolia Collection and these stamps are on sale over at KLSNS right now for up to 35% off. This is a great way to build up your collection AND Kelly has a special on shipping as well. I hope you'll take advantage of it!

This is a picture of the outside of the album- it can be closed and stringed shut for safe keeping or travel.

I thought I would also show you some close up of the other pages that I made. I did keep them simple and used Basic Gray Two Sccops paper on them. The little birdie is also a magnolia stamp that someone stamped for me- and I thought it would fit the theme.

Basics for making the album:
2 8 1/2 x 11 Cardstock
Score both at 4 inches and slide them together so that the inside measures 8in wide AND the outsides match up: adhere in that position. Embellish the outside as you like.
Then you will cut 3 coordinating cardstocks for the base of your album pages:
7 3/4 x 5 38
7 3/4 x 6 6/8
7 3/4 x 8 1/2
Each of them should be scored 1 in from the top and attached together (I used the large white SU eyelets). This will allow each page to fold upwards to view the next page. Embellish the pages and either side as you like.
You could make the same type of album pages for either side but just be careful how bulky this becomes.
I hope this helps and have a splendid day!

KLSNS SPARKLE BLOG HOP IS HERE!

You should have arrived from Kristine's Blog and if not you will want to start at the KLSNS DT blog so that you get all the words to complete the SPARKLY phrase at the end to be entered in the drawing to win the GRAND PRIZE!

So my sparkly project for you all today is a "Pamper Yourself" project that you could make for a special friend. This is a drink tote that I had my hubby paint pink (of course!) and then I used my sweet little PIXIE girls to decorate it. I used my copics to color them and then cut them out. I also added a bunch of glitter/bling to their dresses, their wings, and to the sunshine of course. Click on the picture to get the real effect as it took me 2 days to photo these and the lighting would not cooperate.

We would love for you to join us and make your own Sparkly creation- if you post it on your blog with a link to the KLSNS design team blog and we'll enter you again. Plus, who knows what Kelly has up her sleeve, she could be giving away some other surprise "blog candies" so be sure to leave some luv everywhere! (wink!)

So lets get on with the blog hop, my word for you is GIRLS so make your way over to Sparkle's Blog.
Reminder: you must leave a comment on the DT blog and all DT member blogs to be eligible for the GRAND SPARKLY prize along with sending the correct phrase to steinrn@yahoo.com with the KLSNS SPARKLES in the subject by 9pm Saturday August 8th..

Have a Sparkly Day!
