First Fruits of Spring

The days are getting longer, the sun warmer…a desire to decorate the house with flowers, to take out the paint brushes, to change the decoration!

To rediscover in my archives some photos of a spring break in Paris which evoke the first fruits of spring.

Have a pleasant weekend...

The "Percheronne" countryside

The arrival of autumn is the right moment to discover some beautiful regions of France.

A few days in the department of Orne, enjoying travelling along the lush green country roads.
Stopping for a lunch break at "Gustave", an address considered to be an essential stop in Bellême.

Bathed by the Sun!

In the footsteps of Manon, a few days of respite beneath the sunny skies of Saint-Tropez before the rush of holidaysmakers arrive.
At the Saturday morning market, at the square ‘Place des Lices’, courgette flowers and juicy ripe tomatoes are in abundance on the stands.

Do not forget your panama hat, a vital and timeless southern French accessory.
The sail boats are so very small next to the yachts, as they await the next edition of "Voiles Latines de Saint-Tropez" which takes place every year during the month of May.

Early in the morning, the terrace of Sénéquier awaits the arrival of its locals.
The port is decorated with blue, white and red bunting flags in preparation for the 14th July.

« Le Mesnil des Bois »

To immerse oneself in the heart of the Mesnil forest.
To discover the guest house « Le Mesnil des Bois », a sixteenth century manor house with its out buildings that belonged to the family of the privateer Surcouf.
To curl up in the bedroom “Frêne” beneath the beautiful period style timber work.
To admire the original bath tub built in a former enclosed bed from Brittany.

A Few Days in Aubrac

To leave for a few days to see other horizons.
To loose oneself for a moment on the Causse (limestone plateau) of Campestre and Luc, in the Cevennes, to admire frosted mosses and ferns.

Enjoy the silence and the vastness of the plateau of Aubrac, which is often called the little French Mongolia.
Return to wish you a marvelous year 2012 and especially to thank you for your loyalty and your sweet words

I invite you to admire Aubrac through the eyes of the photographer Jean-Denis AUGUY!

A View of the Sea

A view of the sea, peninsula of Giens French coastal trail

A few days of holiday at the sea shore... overlooking an island where I like strolling on its silver beach in this lovely month of May, taking bike trails through dusty fragrant eucalyptus and pine... a rare pearl... the Porquerolles's Island.

Entrance in front of the sea, restaurant Le Pradeau Plage The coves of the peninsula of Giens in front of the Porquerolles's Island

Stroll the coastal path and discover the picturesque coves of the peninsula of Giens.
And in the bend of the road, succumb to the typical charm of the coffee shop "Le Pradeau Plage" to savor delicious tapas... facing the sea!

In Camargue, the Carbonnière Tower

Cheminement en bois menant à la Tour Carbonnière
To cast your gaze on the wilderness where flamingos, shorebirds and migratory birds offer a fabulous show !
Admire, under an autumn sun, the herdsmen who gallop to collect and sort the bulls of the herd.
Pin a "rosette" of my creation to honor the Camargue races.
And watch rice grain in the rice paddy sway in the gentle breeze.

Rosette pined on cross-the-heart top Mais il est où le soleil Around of the Carbonnière Tower

In the midst of this magical landscape, Tower Carbonnière, which spans the causeway, was in the past the only way to enter the city of Aigues-Mortes.
The solitary tower, located in the country of Saint Laurent d'Aigouze, was built as an outpost for the city. It defended and served as a toll.
Today it is a romantic place ... a place for nature lovers to watch the sun reflect on the sea spray in this singular land of Camargue !

Details of my attire of the day :
Gray cross-the-heart top in tulle and velvet, "Mais il est où le soleil" ; embroidered sea-foam green blouse "Sunday" ; gray tunic and pantaloons (unbranded) ; scarf, "Mado et les autres" ; ballerinas "Couleur pourpre".
