Late One Afternoon...

Sequined slippers
When the sun is softer, the curtains are half open... to enjoy the end of the afternoon.
I display my sequined slippers, sweetly brought from Tunisia by my friend Domie.

At the Heart of Emotion...

Old pair of white baby shoes Piece of ecru tulle embroidered

It’s one of those Sundays on which to get up early to go antique hunting.
Along the way, admire the apple and cherry blossoms in the first warm rays of sun.
The heart is light and filled with emotion at the idea of sharing this morning with two antique-hunting friends.

Heart made with paper and fabric Detail of an old baby shoes

You can imagine that the three of us will not return empty handed !
Here’s a quick overview of my Sunday finds on a seasonal theme : baptism, weddings, moments of emotion...

A scarf made with a piece of ecru tulle embroidered A small bell remembrance of baptism

An old pair of white baby shoes worn just right.
A nice piece of ecru tulle embroidered with garlands of flowers in large satin stitch that I wear as a scarf now.
A small bell ringing joyful remembrance of baptism that I place before this adorable heart offered by a dear friend.

The Undergrowth

Nesti Dante soaps

Despite a summer that seems unwilling to bow out, the undergrowth covers itself with leaves and adorns itself with beautiful colors.

From the branches, hang a burlap bag, made from an old grain sack, and arrange objects, some of which remind me of this past summer.
Thank you again Irene and Paolo these wonderful soaps whose wrappers are as delicate as the scent they emit.

Natural Colors

In a reflection of the mirror, dress linen Gasa Small flowers of wax and fabric Communion

It is always with great pleasure that I open my armoire every morning to choose the outfit that I'll wear.

Heathered objects and accumulated Gasa linen dress and jacket ecru Princesse tam tam

Natural materials and colors are often my favorite. They are soft and soothing and this may be why I chose these colors for my room.

A multitude of small, antique objects that I like to collect are displayed on my dresser.

I am always happily drawn to vintage ornaments which the bride or the communicants once carried. These small flowers of wax and fabric are for me true treasures !

White Gloves

Decoration with old white leather gloves
Antiquing in the early morning on the village square, shaded by the foliage of sycamore trees, is one of my pleasures of summer.

And this morning, I strolled through the aisles before stopping in front of a stand whose dealer always has objects laden with history.
At first glance, I saw this glass jar with its outdated label "Cherry 1949," then this finely decorated paper envelope.
Within it, a beautiful pair of white leather gloves that could only seduce me.

Knowing my taste for objects with a soul, Claudine offered them to me for my greatest pleasure.

Thank you once more for a present so delicate...

What beautiful memories of this wonderful meeting with Minna.
A week full of charm, complicity and exchanges.
Although our countries are so far apart, our two worlds are so close...
I found a sister of the heart and I’m very moved.

A very romantic tea

Sweet scent of roses and macaroons for a small, very romantic tea while remembering a friend who sweetly spoiled me.

Found in an attic, this tiered server decorated with filigree... perhaps a little too elaborate for my taste... also I like the rough, gray patina like this old dressing table.

A breath of poetry

A breath of poetry, some old manuscripts, a small feather and here, as if by magic, the past is so beautifully revisited by this creation which alone holds the secret.

What joy and admiration in all the delicacy.

And these few flowers, “perfume of the poets” to thank you Kristin for
having so kindly offered a little of your marvelous universe.
