Vintage Valentine Samples, Tutorial, More Stamp Sample Idea Boards

Hi Everyone,

I have a mix of fabulous samples to share, a Altered Frame Tutorial and more Stamp Sample Idea Boards.  Also, don't forget this Monday, Feb 3 is our February Linky Party and Design Team Love Challenge.

DT Member Darlene Pavlick made a pretty altered frame for her granddaughter and posted a tutorial for it on her Blog using paper from our Valentine Kit and the sleeping fairy from our Born to Fly Digital Stamp Set.

I love that the images are larger when we turn them into Digital Stamp Sets and that you can re-size and flip them in different directions.  I made up a Idea Board and although most of the samples were made with the old Clear Stamp Set before it sold out, you can print the fairies from this Digital Born to Fly Stamp Set and use them for the same ideas below.       To paper piece - simply -re-print a fairy/fairies again on pattern or color paper and cut out wings and outfit(s).

DT Member Kathy Klement made this sweet Valentine tag and she made the pocket holder from an empty toilet paper holder and just stitched across the bottom. Kathy used our Valentine Stickers (but sadly we just sold out of them) but have Love Mail Scraps.

Here are 2 more adorable    vintage valentines by Kitika from Russia that she made last year using our Valentine Kit

DT Member Michele Kovack created this beautiful card with a shadow box effect and the flower is from our Flower Garden Digital Stamp Set Download.

Here's an Idea Sample Board using our Fairlyland Stamps, now a Digital Stamp Set Download . All of these samples can be printed and colored like the original stamps - except you can't stamp on clay (like the necklace) but you can decoupage on any flat base for a pendant or pin.

Also a sample Idea Board for Sew Special, now a Digital Download and designs are larger and easier to color!
We Do have Down on the Farm CLEAR Stamps left and also Farm Chicks Clear Stamp Sets on sale for $12.50 each as I had placed a huge order just before my stamp manufacture moved and I quit placing orders.

There is also some Seasonal Friends Clear Art Stamp Sets left and you can see some great samples on the board below using faux snow, Fun Flock, glitter and a cool Stamped Faux Tile Tutorial by DT Member Michele Kovack.

Darlene Pavlick also made this pretty baby card for a neighbor who is expecting a baby girl using images and the mini stamp set from our Baby Girl Postcard Kit. You get 3 of all 4 large images plus a bunch of the smaller ones and could make a great banner for a shower and baby's room.

Are you still in the organizing mode still that the new year seems to bring out in us? If so, check out DT Member Vicki Chrisman's Tips on Organizing Your Craft Room or area. Vicki has some great ideas and so many inspiring photos!

Please come back and join us starting this Monday, Feb 3/14 for our Feb Linky Party and Design Team Love Challenge. You can post a sample and receive a $6.oo Off Coupon and 1 lucky random.org winner gets a $50.00 Crafty Secrets Gift Card.  Note: you can enter up to 4 samples and increase odds of winning but just 1 $6.00 Coupon per person.  Plus - I've had a peek at some of the DT Projects and they are wonderful!

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Here are some creative ideas I found on ways you can add a little pizzaz to food on Valentines Day.  You can also spell words like 'I Love You' using small pieces of food like candies or cereal. Our daughters liked pink mashed potatoes when they were little.  It doesn't have to be expensive or fancy - just fun!

If you missed it, here's my list of 32 Creative Ways to Say I Love You   That post has the sweetest and saddest letter we've ever received, from Ruby, who was in the process of making 10 identical scrapbooks for her brothers and sisters - years after their parents were killed in a car accident in 1965. It makes me cry every time I read it.

Here's the link to our 2013 free Valentine Printable plus - past years if you missed them

Here's a link to Victorian Easter Eggs 1, and Eggs 2 just needs a couple of changes. Sug retail $2.95. Each set includes 2 sheets you can print single or double sided.

Our Free 10 Things I Love Valentine Printable, Links, Winner & Samples!

Hi Everyone,

This post includes our Free Vintage Valentine Printable  ‘10 Things I Love About – List’ and links to our past free vintage Valentine Printables! Feeling loved and letting others know you love them is essential to our happiness in life and this list provides a fun way to let others know how much you love and appreciate them.

First, congrats to #33, Becky Dunham, who won our , Love Mail ScrapsCherish Clear Art Stamps,  Romance Cotton Scraps and  Vintage Love Cuts
Each season we have a some type of free printable as a thank you gift for your support and I love how great this 2013 Free Valentine Printable turned out!  The file was so huge I reduced it to 250 ppi (pixels per inch) so it's now only 1.5 MB size but it's still prints beautifully on 8.5 x 11" sheet. To save this file just left click your mouse on it a couple of times to get it as large as possible and right click on it to save it to your computer. You can see small samples with links to our past 'Valentine Love Printables' images farther down in this post.

Here's 10 Creative Ways You Can Use this Free Printable.  If you think of any more, please leave a comment. I thought of 1 more.  Print a copy for everyone in your family and create a '10 Things I love About Our Family Album Cover', then fill out a page for each family member and present them as cards.  Later, add them all to the keepsake album. I borrowed this idea after seeing Vick Chrisman's Altered Book she made with Christmas photos and cards her family received over the holidays

This List is pasted on the '10 Things I Love About' List but the text is tiny.

Add to a fridge with a cute magnet

Fold or roll, tie with ribbon, add to a lunch bag, pillow, plate, purse or pocket

Add to a scrapbook layout with a photo of loved one

Turn into a postcard back and add an image or photo to the front.

Decorate and add ribbon or wire to hang on plant, vase, wall, etc

Print on fabric to make a mini pillow (add photo for extra personal touch)

Embellish with glitter, gems, ribbon, lace, etc to create a beautiful card

Make 2 copies to cut and add images for a 3D paper tole effect

Cut the inside of the title and frame out and add your own words and photo

Take a photo of your list and send it by i-phone or email to a loved on

Look at this sweet family keepsake DT leader Vicki Chrisman made using this Free Valentine Printable List with papers from our $9.95 Valentine Digital Download and the new Frame and Bow Die she designed for AccuCut.

I adore this layout Cindy van Koll our graphic designer made for my niece using our 'free
printable 10 Things I Love About list'.  The papers, 3D frame, rose and valentines are from
our Digital Valentine Kit.   Arissa was so excited and proud! What a great way to boost
anyone's self esteem and let them know they are appreciated and loved!

After Cindy made the digital layout above she added some 3D fun buy re-printing the 5 valentines and rose head and adding some pop dots and glitter. You can see how 3D the rose looks below. Too bad the photo didn't turn out great, so I showed the flat sample above.

I wanted to show you what I'm working on this weekend and plan to use my new sewing
machine to sew on card stock I printed with hearts from our Heart to Heart Digital Art Stamp Set.

This is the first EVER sewing machine I've owned and I'm thrilled with it! It's a Brother CS6000i Advance model and was$155.00 from amazon.com with free shipping, 60 computerized stitches, all the accessories, a free arm and a case!

Here's my 2011 list with 32 Creative Ways to say I Love You and it was the inspiration f0r creating our new 10 Things I Love About List.   Click the link to get the printable full page

This is a link to our  2 Crafty Secrets Free Valentine Printables from Feb 2010.

Here's a link to our Free 2011 Printable Valentine Message adapted from an antique postcard.  I was away for Valentines in 2012 and didn't do a printable.

I also have a few samples I wanted to show you.  Vicki Chrisman, created these 2 new dies for Accucut with a frame you can create albums from and a cute bow die. Here are 2 inside pages using our Cherish Clear Art Stamp Set, still in stock and on sale for $15.50!

DT Member Darlene Pavlick has been busy whipping up all sorts of samples and look at these 2 cute cards for Valentines or they could work for a birthday girl. The cupcake girl is from our Valentine Digital Kit and the little love chef is from our $4.95 Homemade Booklet.

I love this fun birthday card that DT Member Michele Kovack created for a 'golfer guy' because I adore the crazy pants and socks on this image on our SM43 Golf Time Clear Art Stamp Set and we still have this set in stock and on sale for $9.50

Whew, that all for now!  See you soon with more inspiring samples
