It's a Color Challenge!

Welcome to this week's Heart 2 Heart challenge!

This week we are challenging you to use a combination of colors. Please don't add any additional colours except neutrals (black, white, browns or greys). 

The color palette  includes the following colours. 

• Peacock
• Glacier
• Saffron
• Sage

There is a collection of artwork below to inspire you followed by the design team creations. If you don't have the exact colours, please use the closest match possible.

Bluebird - Color Challenge

Welcome to this week's Heart 2 Heart challenge! 

This week, it is a color challenge - specifically using Bluebird, a gorgeous shade of blue in the Close To My Heart color palette. A color swatch is shown below. 

Your project does need to feature this color although it doesn't have to be entirely blue - however, please make sure that the prominent color is Bluebird.

Color Challenge: Candy Apple

Welcome to the first post of July! 

It is a time of celebration in both Canada and the US this week - July 1st is Canada Day (obviously in Canada) and July 4th is Independence Day in the US. Both of these dates are of historical significance in the two countries and each has one thing in common - the colour RED!

Our challenge this week is a color challenge - and that is to use the color CANDY APPLE. 

Candy Apple is a Close To My Heart colour and it is a bold red. You may certainly use other colors in your project but we do ask that the FOCAL color is Candy Apple.

Color Challenge: Triadic Color Combinations

Welcome to Heart to Heart and a super exciting challenge! This week, it's all about color! We are challenging you to use a triadic color combination! If you already know what that is, terrific. If not, there is some guidance below to help you out...

A basic color wheel looks like this:

If you put an equilateral triangle inside the color wheel as shown below, it touches THREE colors equally spaced apart. That is a TRIADIC color combination. There are only four possible combinations. 

If you want to use Close To My Heart specific colors, a CTMH color wheel is shown below with those specific colors. Please note that the color wheel is oriented the exact same way as the ones above.
