Oceanside Pier

My first layout in 2018 was made yesterday and is a layout with photos taken on the pier in Oceanside, CA, in November 2016.

I've used papers from 45 & Market, which I got only a few days ago and a beautiful blue cardstock from Core'dinations.

I found some Prima chipboards in my stash and thought this one would be fine to put the title on.

I also found some cheeseloth which I had already colored and I loved how it looked with these photos.

The layout is based on the January 1st sketch from Let's Get Sketchy.

I rotated it 90 degrees to the left to fit my photos.

2 tett i tett

2 close to each other.

I took this photo when we visited Sequoia National Park in November this year. The two big sequoia trees leaned against each other as they raged to the sky.

These threes are so big and so old, many of them are more than 1000 years old. It is great to see, and we people are so small compared with them.

My layout is based on Desember 1. sketch from Lets Get Sketchy:

I rotated it 90 degrees to the left to fit my photo.

A great day

I made this layout some days ago. The photo is of my DH, taken in Grand Canyon last fall, when we walked the South Kaibab Trail.
We really had a great day and that's what my title says.

I colored the wood veneer blue so it would stand out from the background.

The grass chipboard are colored with embossing powders.

I used the September 1 sketch from  Let's Get Sketchy:

Baptism

I have had this photo, taken in the church after a christening sermony, printed out for month, just waiting for the right moment to scrap it. Last week I found the June 1 Sketch Challenge at Let's Get Sketchy, and thought it would be great for this photo.

And here is the sketch:

I just had to put on some flowers:

And some closeups on some other embellishing:

Papers and embellishments are mostly from the February 2017 kit from Swirlydoos.
