CLOTHING SWAP

The girls at my work put together a CLOTHING SWAP...best idea ever!

Everyone comes and bring all the clothes they don't wear anymore and then you go shopping. I came in with no expectations because I am pretty picky about clothes, but I totally made out with a haul.

NO MONEY SPENT AND NEW CLOTHES, seriously best idea ever (i think I already said that)and I reccomend you try it!

Some of my finds:

* A $200 christian audigier shirt, I totally would never buy or pay for this but it is totally cute and now mine for free!

* Plum Purple Volcom Sweater vest

* new Black Skirt

*Billabong peasant shirt (so cute)

*Sundress

* and a lulu lemon headband!

Can't wait to take some of my new clothes to VEGAS BABY!

THIS WEEK IN THE LIFE OF EMILY!

*In the words of my cousin Sara TGIF (thank goodness it is Friday), honestly when I think about everything I did this week it is insane, yet I had fun and I survived!
* I taught 7 classes this week, I think that is a record and I think my body decided to pay me for it when I woke up this morning and moving didn't seem like an option!
* So our decision to not move last week was the right one but it has not proved to be easy. We have had to deal with threats all week from the sellers that they are going to sue us and take us to court.
*Having a father that is a lawyer is proving to be very useful. I think he is actually having fun with this while I stress.
* I finally unpacked, I guess that means that I am staying put for awhile.
* The OWNER, BIG BOSS, aka...queen of aerobics(I think she invented some of it) decided to pop into one of my classes this week. To say I was sweating is an understatement!
*In less than 5 days I will be on a plane to spend 4 days with the greatest girls in the world (my sisters, sister in law, and mom) Needless to say a lot of fun will be had!
* I have the greatest husband in the world. Seriously I don't know what I did right but I totally lucked out. He gets me...which is not easy sometimes.
*I am getting my hair done today. I tried the au natural red thing and I am done. Blonde here I come. You can only take so much pasty redheadness for so long!
* I am supposed to be working right now, instead doing this, I guess that is what Friday's are for!
*Spring does not look to be anywhere on the horizon here in Canada, bummer city. I guess that is what sister weekends in Vegas and St. George are for!

ALL PACKED UP WITH NO WHERE TO GO...

As many of you have heard we did not move this weekend :( and while it is a long story filled with a little crying and freak out on my part the end result is that we are good. After much prayer we know that we made the right decision and in the long run things will work out for the best! I am lucky to have a husband who is in tune with the spirit and understands my need to be irrational and cry abour the fact that I was excited about the wallpaper I would put in the office and the bubble bath I was planning on taking in that jetted tub.

DRAMA SHORT SYNOPSIS:
Thursday was an exciting day we were going to finally sign the papers that would close on our house. We sat down with the lawyer and she dropped the bomb. The sellers financial institution can not grant clear title...they will still give you occupancy but not title...WHAT? How does that even work. After shock and panic that in 5 days I would be homeless and Hank just laughing and saying, "this is so funny" (so not funny) we went home needing to make a decision. After a long emotionally draining prayered filled evening we knew and felt that what we needed to do was walk away from the situation. The seller was not able to grant us title by the end of contract noon on Friday therefore making it null and voild allowing us to walk away scot free! It has been a crazy eventful weekend. But we kept busy by hanging out with friends and dinner with my cute cousin Melissa who is in town! Luckily I was able to call our land lord on Friday and they had not rented out our apartment making me NOT HOMELESS! So for the time being we are back in our little apartment making the most of the situation and pressing forward!

So that is my weekend ALL PACKED UP WITH NO WHERE TO GO!

So I have gotten many reactions when I tell people about Hank and I's new church calling.....

My cousin Sara.....hysterical laughter LOL

My Sister Adrien....."Oh that is so fun I have always wanted to do that" (Yeah Right)

My Friend Gina......"Did you have to quit your jobs? Do you get Paid?" (I wish)

Well folks you are looking at the new stake EARLY MORNING seminary teachers...that's right you didn't just read that wrong.

MY REACTION....shear terror and many tears!

In all reality I am completely humbled by this calling. I feel completely inadequate, but I know I will learn so much! Today was my first lesson and I think I may have learned more then the kids but I guess that is what callings are all about; to make us stronger.

BIGGEST PLUS: I still get to work with most my sweet young women even though I am moving out of the ward.

BIGGEST NEGATIVE: My days of staying up late and waking up at a decent time ARE OVER!

Ok so if anyone has any good advice or websites with creative ideas for teaching seminary please let me know??? In a way I feel like I am getting what was coming to me I spent my younger years in good old released time, I now get the true meaning of early morning seminary!

Repeating History!

Remember this post well apparently I was only kidding myself thinking it would be less then a year before I would do it all over again! Good thing I left most of everything behind to fit in our wonderful 500 square feet of paradise! Don't get me wrong we are so excited to get into our house, just not excited about the packing up and moving!
