Carol Singing

I made this card for the Merry Monday 'Light Posts' challenge.  I'm also entering Christmas Card Challenges 'Anything Goes', Season's Greetings 'Anything Goes', Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'Anything Goes' and Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra.

Card blank: 6" x 6" white silk
Image: Lili of the Valley 'Carol Singing' Mini Masterpieces
Die: Cheery Lynn 'Snowflake Set 2'
Card: Gold pearlescent
Paper: Lili of the Valley ' 'Classic Christmas'
Other: Gold nailhead, Diamond Stickles, Wink of Stella

I trimmed the plaid paper, layered it onto gold card and attached it to the card front.  The image was precoloured, I trimmed it slightly, layered it onto gold card and attached it to the centre.  I die cut a snowflake and attached it to the top corner with a gold nailhead in the centre.  I added Diamond Stickles for the snow and highlighted the image with a Wink of Stella.

Pop-up Gift Card Holder

This month's Christmas Cards All Year Round challenge is 'Anything but a Card' and I've made a pop-up gift card holder using Debs' tutorial as a guide for the sizes.

I'm entering Season's Greetings 'Colour' challenge, Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge 'Anything Goes', Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'Anything Goes' and Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra.  All the paper was from my snippets drawer so I'm heading to the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Dies: Memory Box ' Ringed Buckle'
Punch: Woodware corner rounder
Card: Red double sided pearlescent
Snippets: Wild Rose Studio 'Painted Poinsettias'

I cut a piece of red card to measure 10" x 4.25" and scored it at 3", 4", 5" and 8".  I then trimmed snippets of holly paper for the inside - two pieces measuring 4" x 2.75" and one measuring 4" x 1.75" and poinsettia paper for the outside to the same measurements.   I rounded the corners of both the card and paper and attached the paper to the card.  I used a craft knife to cut a slit where the gift card will sit and then used double sided tape to attach the sides.  A strip of striped paper was then attached across this section of the gift card holder.  To make the belly band, I die cut a Ringed Buckle from red card and threaded a strip of holly paper through the buckle, This was wrapped around the gift card holder and fastened at the rear with double sided tape.

Frosty the Snowman

I made this card for the Merry Monday 'Snowmen' challenge.  I'm also entering A Gem of a Challenge 'Your Favourite Colour Combo' (I love blue and silver for Christmas cards), Christmas with the Cuties 'Christmas Carols and Songs' (I've chosen Frosty the Snowman - which I now can't stop singing!), ABC Christmas Challenges 'D for Dimension', Allsorts 'Anything Goes' challenge, Christmas Card Challenges 'Anything Goes' and Season's Greetings 'Anything Goes'.

Card blank: 6" x 6" white silk
Image: Lili of the Valley 'The Perfect Snowman' pre coloured Mini Masterpiece
Die: Cheery Lynn 'Snowflake Set 2'
Card: Silver mirri
Paper: Lili of the Valley 'Frosty Christmas'
Other: Diamond Stickles, Wink of Stella, Papermania Shimmering Dots

I trimmed the dark blue snowflake paper, layered it onto silver mirri and attached it to the card front.  I cut a strip of light blue snowflake paper, layered it onto silver mirri and attached it across the card lining up the snowflakes so the pattern matched. The pre-coloured image was trimmed slightly, layered onto silver mirri and attached to the centre with foam tape.  I die cut a snowflake and attached it to the top corner, adding a shimmering dot to the centre.  To finish I highlighted the image with a Wink of Stella and the snow with Diamond Stickles.

Winter Wonderland - Anything Goes Tribute Challenge for Eileen

As many of you know, Eileen our Winter Wonderland blog owner and coordinator passed away recently.  This challenge is a tribute to Eileen for the hard work she put into running the challenge blog and both teams are joining in.  The theme is 'Anything Christmas Goes' and we are sponsored by Little Claire Designs who are offering the winner three digi stamps of their choice.

I'm entering the Alphabet Challenge 'Y for You Choose' (my choice is a Christmas Card), Season's Greetings 'Anything Goes' challenge, Crafty Friends challenge 'Anything Goes', Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'Anything Goes' and Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra.

Card blank: 6" x 6" white silk
Stamp: Little Claire Designs 'Away in a Manger' digi
Punch: Woodware squared corner
Colouring: Promarkers
Card: Gold Stardream, white silk
Paper: Marianne Design 'Wintertime'
Other: Wink of Stella

I trimmed a piece of blue paper, layered it onto gold card and attached it to the card front.  I resized the digi and printed it onto white card before colouring it with Promarkers.  I punched the corners, layered it onto gold card and attached it to the centre of the card.  To finish I highlighted the image with a Wink of Stella.
