Away in a Manger

I made this card for the Crafting with Dragonflies 'Christmas Card in Non-traditional Colours' challenge.  I'm also entering The Paper Shelter 'A Christmas Card' challenge, the Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes' and The Merry Christmas Challenge 'Anything Goes + Christmas'.  The paper and card are from my snippets mountain so I'm also heading into the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Card blank: 6" x 6" white silk
Stamp: Little Claire Designs 'Away in a Manger' digi
Punch: Woodware Squared Corner
Colouring: Promarkers
Other: Wink of Stella
Snippets: Brown card, gold/yellow paper

I trimmed the gold paper, layered it onto brown card and attached it to the card front.  The digi stamp was resized and printed onto white card before being coloured with Promarkers to match the paper and card.  I trimmed the image to a square, punched the corners, layered it onto brown card and attached it to the centre.  To finish I highlighted the stars with a Wink of Stella.

I'm entering the ABC Christmas Challenge 'U for Unlimited (or anything goes), the Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes' and The Merry Christmas Challenge 'Anything Goes + Christmas'.

Punch: Woodware Corner Rounder
Embossing: Kars tan embossing mat
Colouring: Promarkers
Card: White silk, red mirri
Paper: Wild Rose Studio 'Painted Poinsettias'
Other: Wink of Stella, red nailheads

I trimmed the poinsettia paper, layered it onto red mirri and attached it to the card front.  I trimmed a strip of holly paper, layered it onto red mirri and attached it across the card.  I resized the digi and printed it on white card.  This was die cut and embossed before being coloured with Promarkers.  I layered the image onto a red die cut and embossed scalloped circle and attached it to the centre of the card with Pinflair glue.  To finish I highlighted the flowers with a Wink of Stella and added nailheads to the top and bottom corners.

Butterflies and Furry Friend

The current challenge at Little Claire Designs is 'Butterflies' and I've used one of their 'Cute Bears' Irresistible Images for my card.  I'm also entering the Alphabet Challenge 'F for Furry Friends' and Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge where 'Anything Goes.

Card blank: 6" x 6" white silk
Image: Little Claire Designs 'Cute Bears' Irresistible Images
Die: Tattered Lace 'Mini Butterfly'
Card: Purple Core'dinations (magazine freebie)
Paper: Purple and yellow butterfly (magazine freebie)

The image already had a small butterfly on it, but I found a piece of butterfly paper which matched the colours perfectly.  To make this quick card I layered a square of butterfly paper onto purple card and attached it to the card blank.  The image was layered onto purple card and attached to the centre.  I die cut a purple butterfly, curled the wings and attached it to the top of the image.

Cute Spring Bear

The current challenge at Little Claire's Designs is Spring Colours and I've used a cute pre-coloured LC Designs image for my card.  I'm also entering Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge 'Anything Goes' and Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge.

Card blank: 6" x 6" white silk
Image: Little Claire Designs 'Cute Bears' Irresistible Images
Card: Brown matt
Paper: Yellow/green/brown stripe glitter paper (make unknown)
Other: Small green pearls

I cut four squares from the paper and layered them onto brown card before attaching it to the card front.  The pre-coloured Cute Bear image was layered onto brown card and attached to the centre with foam tape.  To finish I added a small green pearl in each corner of the image.

Forget me not

I thought I would share another card I've made this afternoon - this is for this week's Less is More challenge which has the theme 'Friends'.  I bought these Little Claire peel offs ages ago as I thought they were cute, but then never used them!

I attached the elephant peel off and some flowers to a scrap of white pearlesent card and then layered it onto black card - inking the edges with a black Promarker.  The image was coloured with Promarkers and attached to a tent fold card.  I attached the 'Forget me not' sentiment and another flower directly onto the card front.

Cats and Flowers

It's 'Theme' week on the Less is More challenge and this week it's to incorporate an oval.   I've recently bought some Little Claire Designs peel-offs, so decided to use one of them for my card.

I cut an oval from white Centura pearl card and embossed the edge.  I placed the cat peel-off onto the oval and cut the peel-off to fit, this was then coloured with Promarkers.  I placed the oval onto a pearlescent card blank using 2mm foam tape to give some dimension.  To finish, I added a greeting and two paw prints to the card.
