Flourish Reindeer

I've recently bought a collection of Impression Obsession dies (I do like IO dies as they always cut so well) and this lovely reindeer was amongst them.

To make this card I used:
     6" x 6" white matt card blank
Impression Obsession 'Flourish Reindeer' and Creative Expressions 'Festive Collection - Season's Greetings' dies
     Joy Crafts 'Earth Bloc' paper
Snippets of brown pearlescent card and bright blue shiny card

I trimmed the paper, layered it onto brown card and attached it to the card blank.  I die cut the reindeer and sentiment from brown pearlescent card and attached them to the lower edge of the card.  To finish, I die cut the reindeer's eye from a tiny snippet of bright blue card and inlaid it.

I am entering the following challenges:
ABC Christmas Challenge - D for Die Cuts
     Ally's Angels - Anything Goes
     Cardz 4 Guyz - Clean & Simple
Merry Little Christmas Challenge - Anything Christmas Goes
NBUS - Challenge 71 (my new Flourish Reindeer die)
     The Male Room - Monochrome

Golf

This another card I made for one of Steve's colleagues - someone who is a golf fanatic.

I trimmed a piece of the red and cream paper (which looks a bit like a golfing jumper), layered it onto black paper and attached it to the card front.  I used my MISTI to stamp the image onto the beige paper, stamping it several times to get a good clear image.  I coloured the golfer with Promarkers before trimming the panel, layering it onto black paper and attaching it across the centre of the card.

To make this card I used:
     6" x 6" white matt card blank
     Indigoblu 'Fairway to Heaven' stamp
     Versafine Onyx Black ink
Promarkers - Cinnamon, Ivory & Sandstone
Lili of the Valley 'Country Gent', Joy Crafts 'Earth bloc' and black pearlescent papers

I am entering the following challenges:
     Crafty Cardmakers - Masculine
Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge - Anything Goes
Pearly Sparkles Challenge - For the Men/Boys

Happy Christmas

It's time for a new challenge at Christmas Crafts All Year Round and we want to see Christmas crafts that are 'Mainly Red'.  I'm also entering the Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Always Goes' and The Merry Christmas Challenge 'Always Anything Goes + Christmas'.

Card blank: 7" x 5" white matt
Dies: Creative Expressions 'Contemporary Happy Christmas', Memory Box 'Lydia Ornament' & 'Crisp Bows'
Card: Dark red embossed
Paper: Joy Crafts 'Earth Bloc'
Other: Spray & Sparkle Pearl Diamond

I die cut a sentiment, ornament and bow from dark red card and set them aside.  I trimmed a piece of beige paper so it was approximately 1.5cm smaller than the card front and die cut the sentiment, ornament and bow before attaching the paper to a slightly larger piece of dark red card.  I then inlaid the die cut pieces, other than the ornament background.  I sprayed Spray & Sparkle onto another piece of dark red card and when it had dried I die cut another ornament and inlaid the background pieces.  When the panel was finished, I placed a piece of paper across the top and ran it through my Cuttlebug to ensure all the pieces were secure.  To finish the panel was attached to the card front.

Oliver Birthday

I'm struggling to find crafting time at the moment, but made this card for a young boy's birthday.  I'm entering Seize the Birthday 'Anything Goes' challenge, Crafty Friends Challenge 'B is for ...' (I have chosen birthday, boy and blue) and Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge 'Anything Goes'.

Card blank:  6" x 6" white silk
Image: Lili of the Valley 'Lili's Die Cuts Oliver'
Dies: Memory Box 'Grand Happy Birthday' and Xcut 'Mini Star'
Card: Dark blue matt and white silk
Paper: Joy Crafts 'Earth Bloc'

I layered the paper onto blue card and attached it to the card front.  I die cut Happy Birthday from blue and white card.  The blue die cut was attached to the lower edge of the card and the white letters were inlaid.  The precoloured image was already die cut and was attached with foam tape.  To finish I die cut three small stars from blue card and attached them to the upper corner.

Lazy Afternoon

I made this card for one of my great nephews on his 14th birthday.  I'm entering the Cardz 4 Guyz 'Clean and Simple' challenge, Seize the Birthday 'Anything Goes', the Alphabet Challenge 'Z for Zero Embellishments' and Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge.

Card blank: 6" x 6" white silk
Image: Lili of the Valley 'Lazy Afternoon' Mini Masterpiece
Die: Memory Box 'Classic Numbers'
Card: Maroon matt
Paper: Joy Crafts 'Earth Bloc' and Hot off the Press ' Floral' Ultimate Pack

I trimmed the beige paper, layered it onto maroon card and attached it to the card front before adding a strip of green paper to the left side. The precoloured image was trimmed slightly, layered onto maroon card and attached to the centre. I die cut the numbers and attached them to the top of the image.

Happy Birthday

I made this card for a friend who's a keen cyclist and am entering The Male Room 'Wheels' challenge, Seize the Birthday 'Inlaid die-cutting' challenge, Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge 'Anything Goes', Crafty Friends 'Anything Goes' challenge and Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge.

Card blank: 6" x 6" white silk
Die: Joanna Sheen 'Road Bike'
Stamp: Hobby Art 'Happy Birthday'
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Card: Black matt
Paper: Joy Crafts 'Earth Bloc'
Other: Wink of Stella

I die cut the road bike from black card and set it aside. I trimmed the paper to a square and die cut the bike from the lower edge.  The paper was then layered onto black card and I inlaid the bike and paper pieces.  To ensure the inlaid pieces were flat and glued down well, I placed a piece of plain card over the paper and ran it through my Cuttlebug.  The panel was then attached to the card front. To finish I stamped the sentiment in the top corner and highlighted it with a Wink of Stella.
