Butterflies are the best dancers

A big thank you to Mrs A for inviting me to be her Guest Designer on the Butterfly Challenge.  I chose the letter 'Q' and Mrs A tells me this is for 'Q for Quotes (which must be a butterfly quote) and/or Quick Silver'.  I found some lovely Hunkydory Butterfly toppers and quotes and have used one for my card.

I'm entering Crafty Friends 'Anything Goes' challenge and Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge 'Anything Goes'

Card blank: DL white pearl
Image: Hunkydory 'The Butterfly Ball'
Card: Silver mirri, Hunkydory 'The Butterfly Ball'

I trimmed a piece of check card, layered it onto silver mirri and attached it to the card.  A section of the floral card was trimmed, layered onto silver mirri and attached to the left side.  Although the butterfly topper was edged in silver, I wanted to layer it to match the rest of the card so I trimmed it slightly, layered it onto silver mirri and attached it using foam tape.

Butterflies and Knots

A big 'thank you' to Mrs A for inviting me to be her Guest Designer again on the Butterfly Challenge.  I chose the letter K (for Kath) which Mrs A says is 'K for Knot'.  I took the inspiration for this card from Becky's New Year's Resolution - her scrap cards are fabulous and a great way of using snippets too!

Card blank: 7" x 7" white silk
Die: Memory Box 'Pippi Butterfly'
Punch: Woodware Super Duper Square punch
Card: Black matt
Paper: BoBunny Isabella paper stack (magazine freebie)
Other: Pink and grey ribbon, Sakura Micron pen

I punched nine squares from various papers from the BoBunny paper pack and drew two squiggly lines around the edge of each square with the Sakura pen.  I attached a piece of ribbon around the two plain squares and knotted a smaller piece of ribbon around each one.   I attached the squares to the black card using Collall All Purpose glue, as this allowed me to move the squares to make a close fit, and then attached this square to the card front.  I backed two small pieces of paper with white card (to give it some strength) before die-cutting two butterflies and attaching them to the card.

Mrs A has set a great challenge and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's cards over the next two weeks!

M is for Music Notes

When Mrs A invited me to be her guest designer on the Butterfly Challenge I was over the moon - so I chose the letter 'M'!   Mrs A says that M is for 'Music Notes' so I have used the fabulous IndigoBlu 'Sheet Music' stamp on my card.

Card blank: 6" x 6" white silk
Stamps: IndigoBlu 'Sheet Music' and Woodware 'Bubble Bloom Judith'
Die: Butterfly (magazine freebie)
Ink: Versafine Vintage Sepia
Paper: Wild Rose Studio 'Butterfly Garden'
Card: Gold Moondust

I stamped the sheet music onto flower paper, layered it onto gold Moondust card and attached it to another sheet of flower paper - ensuring that the pattern matched.   I trimmed the paper to size, layered it onto gold card and attached it to the card blank.  The sentiment was stamped onto flower paper, trimmed to size, layered onto gold card and attached with foam pads - again ensuring that the pattern matched.   To finish, I die-cut a butterfly and attached it to the front of the card.

I look forward to visiting everyone's blogs to see how you have interpreted 'M for Music Notes'.
