I cannot quite believe it! I am finally watching The Mighty Boosh live, next Thursday! I am really looking foward.

Para los que no conozcais a The Mighty Boosh:

Empezó como programa de radio, luego una serie de tv (3 temporadas hasta ahora) y ahora es una gira en directo.

Este dúo de humor surrealista está compuesto por Noel Fielding y Julian Barrat. En sus espéctaculos nunca falta la música, que ambos componen ... con letras sin sentido de acorde al tema que traten.

Noel interpreta al típico chico popular, sabelotodo, a la última, con una obsesión por su pelo y la moda; Julian es su némesis, inseguro y tímido trabaja en una tienda de discos y vive obsesionado con el jazz.

Su mundo onírico se compone de otros personajes como el mago Naboo, el gorila Bollo que dan un giro más de tuerca a sus originales tramas.

Para los fans de Muchachada Nui será un gran descubrimiento, si es que ya no lo conocen. Salvando las diferencias culturales (por referencias que ambos puedan hacer a cosas o personajes de su país de origen), siguen una onda similar.

Sus episodios se pueden ver en la página de la BBC y en Youtube.

Ya os contaré cuando vaya a verlos, seguro que no decepcionan.

Yesterday while I was "watching" (as much as I could as I sew) The Goblet of Fire I made this badge.
Duncan says he loves it and it is one of his favourites I have ever made. I am quite happy with it so I am making more. It was an utter succes today at school. Next post I will post my chiuaua litter (6 puppy brooches).

Last inedible brooch with carrot cake and pancake newbies - El último broche de la serie no comestible con la nueva entrada dela tarta de zanahoria y tortita.

First of all , I would like to apologise for not blogging more often. I just started a new job in a very nice high school (Yes!!) . I will try to sort my timetable in a better way so that I can craft and post more often. I got very quickly used to my summer holiday.
This is a custom brooch, though I was given complete freedom to do it. It has velvet and sating ribbons. Two new additions are featured in this brooch: The typical English Carrot Cake and the Pancake, apart form that, chocolate and muffin as in the previous inedible brooches.
Antes de nada, me gustar'ia disculparme por no postear más a menudo. Acabo de empezar en un trabajo nuevo, en un instituto bastante bueno (¡Sí!). Intentaré de arreglarmelas con mi horario para poder hacer un poco de artesanía y trabajar al mismo tiempo. Me había acostumbrado rapidamente a las vacaciones de verano.
Este es un broche personalizado, aunque me dieron total livertad para realizarlo. Tiene un lazo de terciopelo y otro de satín sobrepuesto. Dos nuevas entradas: el típico Pastel de Zanahoria Inglés y la Tortita, aparte de eso, chocolate y pastelillo como en los anteriores de la serie "no comestible".

The Carrort Cake needs a lot of attention to be made, I would dare say as much as th true one, as I have to do glazing and icing details in miniature, and things are done in several steps. I am planning some vintage style earrings with these too. I am quite glad about the result of the pancake, quite translucent and real.... I am starting to get it better and better.
La tarta de Zanahora requiere mucha atención a la hora de hacerla, me atrevería a decir que tanta como la tarta real porque tengo que hacer el glaseado y los detalles (la mini zanahoria en este caso). Tengo pensado hacer unos pendientes tipo vintage con estos charms. Estoy muy contenta del resultado de la tortita , bastante translúcida y real .... le estoy cogiendo el truquillo.

Where does the name chickenpants come from?
I actually can't remember how exactly I came up with Chickenpants. I really enjoy playing with words, bad puns, and the like, so it no doubt cropped up when I was doing that.

How long have you been crafting?I've been crafting ever since I can remember. School vacations always began with a big trip to the craft store in an attempt to keep me busy...which never worked for too long.
¿Hace cuánto que te dedicas a la artesanía? Desde que tengo memoria. Las vacaciones escolares siempre empezaban con un viaje a la tienda de manualidades en un intento de mantenerme ocupada ... cosa que nunca sucedía por mucho tiempo.

When did you decide you want to open an online shop?When I found Etsy, I was really inspired. I had started my own online store before, but the marketing and coding was just too overwhelming to keep up. Etsy made it so easy, and I just felt it was time to share what I create with the world. I've always had a hard time sticking with only one medium. I've been painting and drawing the longest, though, and I always seem to come back to it. My favorite right now is the plush- but I've starting making some odd little collages, and they're very fun.

Good photographs of your items are essential. Be prepared to put in very long hours without seeing much return for awhile...and do all the research you can!

What is your favourite material and the last you experimented with?
I love to work with vintage fabrics. Last experimented with is hard to say...I do a lot of experimenting! I'd have to say either the Derwent Inktense pencils or pen nibs & ink.

Two important things to say before the week ends:

1. As you migh have noticed , I have been changin the layout of my blog : I think I finally got the look I want. Simple, neat, 3 colums (so that I can organise links and stuff alike better).

2.I am so happy with the result of these earrings: "Paris Je t'aime", mixed media: acrylic and polymer clay. Two clouds express their impressions as they pass through Paris' sky: "ohlala!", "oh mon dieu!". Available already!

Dos cosas importantes antes de que acabe el fin de semana:

1. Como puede que hayais notado, he estado cambiando el aspecto de mi blog: creo que finalmente tengo lo que quiero. Simple, claro, 3 columnas (para poder organizar los links y esas cosas mejor).

2.Estoy muy contenta con el resultado de estos pendientes: "Paris je t´aime", con materiales diversos: acrílicos y arcilla polimérica. Dos nubes expresan sus opiniones al pasar por el cielo de París "ohlala!" "oh mon dieu!". Ya disponibles.

Folksy, the new kid on the block - Folksy, el chico nuevo del barrio

I am so happy there is a new market place for indie shops and it is
UK based. Its name is FOLKSY and at the moment is in BETA period which means 2 things:

-Administrators are trying to get the final idea of how they want it to be

-For that purpose they are accepting loads of feedback from shops and tips to improve the site (which already looks quite fine).
-During the BETA period listing is FREE, once the period is over listing will be 0,20£ plus a 5% commission fee of your sales.
-They are just taking UK based sellers (this is said to be changing )

Be alert for when the BETA expires as they are planning to get shops from all around the world.

By the way, I saw a ruler some people are getting and guess what.... I could not be less!!! I had my ruler, which is just 0,50£ postage included, more than anything is to cover expenses, so is not really trade.

A thing people have been missing is some sort of small showcase, a widget to display, sort of the ETSY or DAWANDA one that displays your shop's items and links to it. Patience, I am sure everything will come in due time :)

Estoy tan contenta de que ahora haya un sitio para tiendas indies con base en el Reino Unido. Sombre el FOLKSY y , por el momento, está en fase BETA, lo cual significa 2 cosas:

-Los administradores están intentando dar forma a la idea final de cómo quieren que sea -Con tal propósito están aceptando un montón de feedbak de las tiendas e ideas para mejorar la página (que ya tiene una pinta bastante buena)

-Durante el periodo BETA listar productos es GRATIS, una vez pasado este periodo serán 0,20 libras (unos 0,25€) más un 5% de comisión del total de la venta.
-Están aceptando tan sólo tiendas inglesas (ésto va a cambiar en breve).

Estad atentos porque cuando acabe el periodo BETA están planeando coger tiendas de todo el mundo.

Por cierto, vi una regla que alguna gente tenía ... y adivina qué .... yo no podía ser menos!!!! Compré mi regla, por tan sólo 0,50libras (0.63€) envío incluido, no es una compra real, más bien cubren gastos de envío con ello.

Una cosa que la gente está echando en falta es algún tipo de widget que exponga lo que hay en la tienda, del tipo a los que tienen DAWANDA o ETSY. Paciencia, seguro que todo llega a su debido tiempo.

Just a quick post, as I can't sleep, to let you know that I discovered the cutest tea ever!

It is by the Enlgish manufacturer "Make us a Brew" and the box is so really bonny you have to buy it! I thought that the tea bags would come in some sort of similar packaing but they don't they are just the normal ones ready to dunk in your mug.

Today I discovered by chance the case of Nataline Pomar, AKA "

has just launched a very similar product (if not identical) to one of her creations. You can judge by yourselves:

La red de redes es un lugar maravilloso para mostrar lo que se tiene y , con un poco de suerte, incluso puede que llegues a la audencia adecuada.

En la nueva era del Craft Boom, internet ha sido, irónicamente, el medio mediante el que muchos artesanos han difundido sus creaciones.

free platforms you can use to get yourself noticed: Flickr , Blogger,Deviantart, Myspace, Facebook, Fotolog . Chances are, if you upload your work in several, once you get a so called "reputation" (meaning that you have more than 3 or 4 works uploaded regularly), you will start getting some feedback about your creations, and even sales!!!

I personally have sold through the typical market place, i.e. Dawanda, Etsy but also people have contacted me directly via my profile in sites such as Flickr, Fotolog, my Blogger and Deviantart. Now I am thinking of getting a propre my space, in fact I already have it .

Intenta escribir una introducción bonita, dile a lagente quién eresy por qué haces lo que haces.

-Make your page match your style , so that people can get in a glimpse a first impression of what they are going to see in there.
Intenta que tu página y tu estilo concuerden, así la gente podrar tener una impresión en un abrir y cerrar de ojos de lo que va aver.

-Have a considerable amount of work. Do not desperate if you just made 2 earrings and no one contacted you. It takes a little bit more than that.
Ten una cantidad considerable de trabajo. No te desesperes si tan sólo has hecho 2 pares de pendientes y nadie te ha contactado, hace falta algo más que eso.

-Be an active member of forums, comment on other blogs, etc. It is a lovely way to get to know people and to make them know you. Sé un miembro activo en forums, comenta en otros blogs, etc. Es un modo muy bueno para conocer y darse a conocer.

A good alternative for those who do not have Photoshop (like me) is the online photo editor called Foto Flexer. I discovered it today, and wanted to share it, as I think that some people might be in the same situation (quite a few , if you have into account the astronomical prices of a Photoshop Licensed program).

It has been a long time I have been wanting to make some sort of "junk jewelry" and I finally made it. This necklace has vintage charms: skull, little motorbike, pack of cereals,ZUPA rubik cube and many more!!!!

Hace mucho que quería hacer algún tipo de bisutería "junk" (bisutería que recicla charms antiguos y les da un nuevo uso en divertidas composiciones). Este collar lleva los siguientes charms antiguos: paquete de cereales, super cubo Rubik con el que seguro habeis jugado alguna vez (el cubo funziona y se puede usar para pasar el rato ^^), una motito, sonajero, pistola, chapita de sheriff y muchas otras cosas.

Besides I have these new necklaces and earrings, just one of each, so they are most exclusive, and you won´t find anything like that any other place. They have been made by the glass artis K Kemper for me.

I have just 3 necklaces left (as the 4th is mine) and 8 pairs of earrings, here is a little sample of what I have. I will be posting some more pictures. I still have the earrings that match this necklaces.

Además tengo estos 2 collares y pendientes, sólo uno de cada modelo, así que son super exclusivosy no encontrareis nada como esto en otro sitio. Están hechos de cristal elaborado artesanalmente por la artista del cristal K kemper para mi.

Tengo 3 collares (el cuarto es mío) y 8 pares de pendientes (tenía 10 pero 2 han volado ya), todavía me quedan los pendientes a conjunto con los collares.

Están hechos en lampwork y plata de ley.
