LOVE is all we need!

Today is my final post for...

I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all my team mate, past and present, thanks for your beautiful work every week for the past three and a half years.

Since Valentine's day is coming and we really really need LOVE in this beautiful world we live in right now, the prompt is....

LOVE

I picked one of the old photo from my folders, my Valentine's day decoration at home.

as much as I love taking photographs and share them at OBW, I find it hard to cope with too many things in life lately, as a result, something has to go, so farewell OBW, I hope you could stop by and join in the final week of fun.

Project Life 2016 ~ May 26 (Venice)

Project Life 2016

May 26
Today Clare and I woke up early and ready to explore Venice, we took bus #2 from Paive to Piazzale Roma, and then Vaporetto #2, I have Rialto Market on my list, so we alight at Rialto Bridge....

If you have been to Las Vegas, and saw the imitation Rialto Bridge in front of the Venetian Hotel Casino, here's the real deal in Venice...
Unfortunately, it was under renovation, so the view is not very good for the camera

I bet you already know I love market places by now, how could I miss Rialto Market in Venice?

you want to know why I recommend seafood in Venice? Just look at the spread...

even things I don't eat looked interesting....

seafood were loaded fresh here everyday, it makes the seagulls very very happy.....

walking those narrow walkways in Venice is fun despite we lost our way a few times, but who cares, we are tourists!

cute girl taking picture with happy canal along the way....

after making a few wrong turn, we finally found our way to San Marco...

we stopped at Caffè Florian, the Venetian café since 1720.....

paid for overpriced tea and sandwiches.....

and some tourist music charges, ummm... like 14 Euro for two of us (just for sitting there with the music at the background), but who cares, we are tourists

it was nice sitting at San Marco, sipping tea, listening to music, people watching and writing postcards on a beautiful summer afternoon.

When DH and I came to Venice 2007, we didn't go up to the top of the Bell Tower....

Clare and I did it this time.... oh boy, just look at that view.....

another thing on my list that I didn't cover in 2007 is the Ponte dei Sospiri (Bridge of Sighs)......

such beautiful place, you can take picture with any device and it would look like a postcard picture.

I wanted to take a look at the Venetian Casino so Clare agreed to go with me...

we ended day two in Venice with a sweet note....

GROM at Ferrovia train station. Ferrovia is a major train station in Venice mainland, that was my very first impression of Venice because DH and I came to Venice via train in 2007.
Now the GROM story...... I first fell in love with GROM, the Italian gelato way back in New York City, they had their first branch on 76th street upper west side Manhattan, a single scoop for 5 bulks those days, but there were long line outside GROM, NYC everyday, even in the winter. Well, GROM was originated in Italy, and I was told by Dairo, our host in Rome that it was his favorite gelato anywhere, so I definitely got to try this one at Ferrovia staion, oh boy, now I can say, GROM in Venice is my favorite gelato anywhere in the world too, taking into consideration, we had gelato everyday in Italy, sometimes twice a day. I was told that GROM could taste different in different country, because they used the best ingredients they can find in that country, and I am a living proof for this, even I had GROM in NYC, in Tokyo, the one in Venice is THE BEST!

it was a relaxing day for Clare and I, sitting by the water with my favorite gelato, ahhh..... life is good!
