City Crafter Challenge Blog Week 319 ~ The Book of Love

How do you measure LOVE? Especially LOVE for your children?
If you ask me, my answer would be.....

A parent's LOVE is Whole,
No matter how many times divded.

I only wish my children understand.

I made a BOOK of LOVE sometime ago for Clare, when she started a new page of her life.

this BOOK of LOVE is in the photo journal form....

it started with a a few of her baby photos....

and then Clare as a young lady....

the next few pages is her life in Singapore, New York and Las Vegas, and then the day I sent her to college, and photo of her graduation recital....

I leave some blank journal card for her to write down her thoughts......

and then the important day when she is officially on her own....

I do have a graduation speech by Bill Gates, meant for the graduate to read by somehow, a little doggie seems to be interested too (see his little foot on the top left corner?)

and then I filled up lots of pockets with journal card, she can continue with the journaling on her own

my daughter probably do not have a lot of art supply at home so this BOOK of LOVE comes with glue stick and other embellishment for her to get creative

here's my BOOK of LOVE for my kid...

do you have one? come share with us at

I am back....

Hello friends....

I am back

to my little nest

except

it is

EMPTY

now

.....

........

I was trying very hard not to be sad the whole way home

but I think the feeling of empty-nest syndrome had won the battle

.....

...........

as mother

taking care of my children seems like the only purpose in life

out of a sudden

they are all gone

and I didn't know what my purpose was anymore

....

......

..........

....

right now

I probably need time

and find things to keep my mind busy

...
...
...
...
...

I hope I will continue to find

JOY

on my path

as I know

some things will never change

regardless

you

are

far

or

near

City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #69- Do-ya-Doodle

Do-ya-doodle???? Sounds fun????
Oh yes, this week at City Crafter Challenge Blog, Linda has a fun theme for us, she wants to see some hand doodling on your project, any project is fine, card, layout, ATC, art journal, as long as you do a bit of hand doodling, so come on and join in the fun!

I started a Mixed Media Art Journal class in May, we are allowed to have 3 months time to log in and watch the video, and I haven't finish doing that, see, that is how bad I am at things like that.
Anyway, this is the 2nd page of my 3 Hearts Journal (when am I going to finish this journal, I wonder.....)

This ART makes me HAPPY.....

a little bit of masking,

a little bit of stamping, playing with paints and water colors...

a bit of stenciling, and image transferring.....

and a lot of doodling....

it does make me HAPPY!!!

noticed I need to have the date and place written on every page? with the speed I am going, I don't know when and where am I going to finish this art journal, my long term plan in this life is to live in Paris, Japan and Thailand for at least 6 months each, so this art journal might finish on the other part of the world.

Alright, now hop over to City Crafter to see the other lovely work by our GD and DT

GD - Juls
DT - Linda, Cheryl and Ros

Pixie Dust Paperie is our sponsor this week, and there is a special discount code for CCCB readers, so hop over and take a look!

Three Hearts Art Journal page 1 - The Artist in Me!

My Three Hearts Art Journal

page 1

"The Artist in ME"

I stared the Mixed Media Art Workshop with Christy Tomlinson weeks ago, and just completed my week 1 assignment, 28 videos...
presenting to you today, page 1 of my Three Hearts Art Journal

one precious lesson I learn from those 28 videos - get rid of that perfectionist in me

since young, I am the "color within the line" kind of girl, I like my "art" and other stuff in life to be organized, neat and "within the line", you know what I mean?

everything has to be in order, and I tried very hard to be "the best"

when life gets tougher, and when the numbers in my age gets larger, I learn to be
not so perfect
I learn not to use
I SHOULD
and I learn that
there is no mistake in ART

hope to share with you, more of my Art Journal now that I am going into week 2 of the workshop
