Not sure if you have notice, I have cut down my blog post and having a more
relaxing schedule, ahhhh........ still not in the mood for crafting, and I do have a problem that need some suggestions from you out there .......
Let's start with this little guy......
cute huh? not until he starts eating our tomatoes and radishes in the garden
ok, we get the gardener to build a big cage over the tomatoes, it looks ugly but then at least we have some tomatoes left for ourself...
a week ago, my gardener planted these beautiful flowers in the pot for us...
less than a week, this is how it looks right now
the ground squirrels had definitely found a new canteen for lunch
just look at the crime scene evidence...
and then I thought, maybe this guy could be the culprit....
I saw him at our backyard that day.....

NO, no, it cannot be this guy I saw on my way home the other night....
I don't think he is a vegetarian....
hmmmmm.....

so we start to search for a solution
type: "I hate ground squirrels"click!!!
should be have a scarecrow in our South Western theme backyard?
or should we buy a .........
dress up like the farmer and his wife.....
sit on our deck every morning...
and wait for these little critters to show up...
they not only eating our vegetables AND flowers, they build tunnels under our deck too
and according to our research, they could be quite destructive to the property

some said you shoot a few and then they will disappear for a while, I wonder how do they educate their follows and warn them about the farmer, his wife and the bibi gun?
I thought of a dog...
(don't suggest a cat, I am a Ailurophobia)
but who wants to take care of babies now that ours are all grown up
(the baby of the family is leaving home for college this fall)

my cleaning lady suggested clear bottles filled with water.....
that seems to be the best option for me as "nobody" is going to get hurt...

sad to say it doesn't work, they knock down the bottles and continue to chew on my poor flowers

Well, murder PLAN A is not going to work out as OshKosh B'Gosh no longer carry the farmer's overall in adult sizes....
So we continue to search even more seriously....

urgh.... but who wants to take care of bloody dead body at the crime scene every morning... YIKES!
and after reading all the suggestions here....
we might start building the ground squirrels swimming pool tomorrow
but Murder PLAN C had to carry out behind these innocent people.....
as they yell "Murderer" when I cook a Lobster at home....

oh well, we will see how it goes, I might still chicken out tomorrow, it is really scary to see dead body floating in the swimming pool, but what else can I do???
I hope they have mercy on my poor vegetables and flowers, other wise, we should declare WAR with these pesky little critters!!!!!!!!
