City Crafter Challenge Blog and Project Life 2016 ~ June 1 (Strawberry Picking in Grafing)

Project Life 2016

June 1
We are still in Grafing, early this morning, Ann took me to meet her lady knitting group....

the lady next to me is Olivia, whom I met 3 years ago when I visited Grafing. After that, we went back home to pick up the princess, who wanted to sleep in this morning. I was in Grafing 3 years ago with Dolce, and promised Clare that I would take her to Glashaus, the cute little cafe we went the last time, so here we are.....

 having breakfast/brunch at Glashaus....

Ann Peng and I had Flammkuchen (German Pizza)....

after that we just take a stroll in the little town ......

to look at pretty things.....

and then we decided to go strawberry picking.....

these strawberries are really really yummy....

can you see how much fun we had?

that brings you to the journal card I created based on this sketch at City Crafter Challenge Blog...

and the rest of the pages for my Project Life 2016..

before I go, I had to show you these pictures of Clare.....

Please stop by City Crafter Challenge Blog and join in the fun!

Project Life 2016 - May 31 (Neuschwanstein)

Project Life 2016

Neuschwanstein

A truly magical spot

May 31
We had breakfast at Ann's house this morning and then heading out to Neuschwanstein, they called it New Swanstone Castle in English. Clare had car sick so we made a few stops. One of the stop is Wieskirche (The Pilgrimage Church of Wies)

don't you just judge the church from the outside, the inside, WOW!!!!

trust me, I have been to many great churches all over the world, this one is by far the most beautiful!

Clare and I had some yummy Bavarian dessert there.....

after a few hours, we finally able to see Neuschwanstein from a distance

getting closer....

but to get up there, we still have a way to walk....

I can't believe I am last in line walking up the slope, way behind Augustin, Ann and the one wasn't feeling well  : (

YAY! Finally there.....

this is the view if you live in the castle....

build in the nineteenth-century by Ludwig ll of Bavaria, Neuschwanstein is so beautiful, it serves as the inspiration for Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle, so if you have been to Disneyland, you might find this looking familiar to you.

before we head back home, we had early dinner there and took a few more shots of the castle...

time to go......

now where did I put my glass slippers?

Project Life 2016 ~ May 30 (From Florence to Grafing)

Project Life 2016

May 30
We woke up very early this morning to catch our flight to Munich, the hotel we stay at in Florence is great, I just wish that we could have a little more time at the breakfast room at Pitti Ponte Vecchio, the view is awesome....

we landed at Munich airport around 11 AM, our friend Augustin picked us up and take us back to their home in Grafing, Munich, about an hour away.

Ann and I knew each other since we were 13 years old, this is the third time I visited them in Grafing. We just had to take a selfie to send to our friends back home in Singapore.

This is Clare's first visit to Grafting, Augustin took her for a car ride to the country side while Ann and I stay at home to chat....
In the evening, they took us to Kugler Alm, a nearby German restaurant for dinner.

this old fashioned oven in the restaurant caught my eyes....

and Clare had her very first locally brew German beer....

here's my yummy Bavarian dinner....

and the priceless friendship for many decades...
