City Crafter Challenge Blog 418 ~ Seaside

Lucille has an inspiration photo for us, and she named the theme Seaside.

That immediately reminded me of my trip to Burano, although it is a lagoon and not seaside, but the inspiration photo for this challenge just make me feel so relaxed and in a vacation mood.

Here's a picture I took when I was in Burano. My camera had a good work out that day, and I picked one of the picture for my layout today....

patterned paper and some of the embellishment die cuts are from one of the kit I had long time ago, I do stamped the flower images from a HERO ARTS stamp set, and the rest of the traveling label are from Kelly Purkey Stamp set....

I used some of my newest favorite Nuvo Jewel Drops on this layout too, can you spot them?

City Crafter Challenge Blog Week 395 ~ At the Tearoom

I am back from Hawaii, and I already miss those beautiful islands......

the only bonus back here is that I am with my sweet Papi....

we finally found a good pet sitter, my friend Kim's daughter Adalynn. She loves Papi and come to our house everyday to play with him. I also set up 4 indoor cameras on top of my pet cube, so I can see Papi in every corner, you won't know how much your dog misses you when you are gone until you monitor, it kind of break my heart when I saw him looking at my empty chair and then cried, sometime he even howled, I never really heard Papi howl before, guess he was looking for his pack. Poor boy! : (

Happy 4th of July and City Crafter Challenge Blog Week 369 ~ Black and White

Happy 4th of July to all my friends in United States!

Here at home, Clare and Jared came home from Valencia over the weekend, we had fun together, just four of us, and they left early this morning, back to LA, and in just three weeks, they will be moving to San Francisco while Clare starts her master program studying under her dream teacher, Van Cliburn International Piano Competition winner Jon Nakamatsu, she is very excited, and I am very excited that I will get to go to San Francisco more often now! : )

We went to try the Fish and Chips at Gordon Ramsay, that make me miss the "real thing" even more!

the real thing meaning those near Bond Street Station in London last summer, and it makes me feel a little sad because it was last summer, I met up with Ros in person. That was one happy day in my life!

At City Crafter Challenge Blog this week, it is the final week for Ros, she decided to step down from the team, I wouldn't blame her, it has been 7 years, but I know we will all miss her........

This is my card for the theme this week "Black and White", please check out challenge details here!

I am loving this..... how about you?

Please stop by the blog and leave Ros some love!

Springtime in Paris

It is certainly magical to be in Paris in the Spring, the weather is still a little chilly most of the day, but we enjoyed every single moment when we were there.
This is my 3rd trip, unlike the first two, the security is tight everywhere, not just near The Eiffel, almost everywhere you'll have to go through bag check, how sad that the bad and evil are changing the way we live.  I feel extremely sad that this happened to one of my favorite city in the world. Sigh.....

Our Beautiful World !83 ~ Yummy

I love cooking and baking, so my photo folder has tons of YUMMY photos....

like these short bread cookies Dolce and I tried during the holidays.....

extra YUMMY if you top them with royal icing.

speaking of cookies with royal icing, the last trip I went to London, we visited Biscuiteers at Notthing Hill....

I just had to buy this even though it is overly expensive, it is YUMMY though

these bagels are my first try in January... they are YUMMY too! We had them with smocked salmon, super YUMMY!

These are Bakkwa, also known as Rougan, is a salty-sweet dried pork, they are considered delicacy when I was growing up, people have them only in Chinese New Year, the price could go up to $60 a kilogram during Chinese New Year in Singapore, but these days, people have them all year round, however, they still are very expensive during Chinese New Year. Since we are not allowed to bring in any pork product when we entered United States, so I never bring these home when I travel back to Singapore, the only place I can get is an online store in CA, but they are rather expensive too, so I made my own during Chinese New Year this year, they really taste YUMMY!

if you go to Starbucks with your puppy, don't forget to ask for a Puppicino, bet your dog loves it. "YUMMY!!!!" said Papi
