City Crafter Challenge Blog Week 167 ~ Strawberry Farm

I really do not like summer here in Las Vegas, but I do love the summer colors, like strawberry on green field.....

So I am going to pick the theme

Strawberry Farm

for this week challenge at

I make a notepad

and a notebook

for my sister's birthday this year

I was going to make a set of cards but realized that I used this same stamp set to make her the berry cards for her last birthday, I must have love this strawberry stamp set from PTI a lot! : )

I used chipboard as the backing for the note pad, punch holes on top so it could be hang anywhere in the kitchen or work space

the note book is just ordinary cheap notebook I bought at Michael's bargain bin, just dressed it up with the same paper on and same theme as the notepad

my sister already got the gift few days ago and she loved it.

I hope you hop over and play along with us this week, our special guest star is my blog buddy Linda B, she and the CCCB designers have some beautiful projects over at the blog, check it out!!!!

LESSology challenge #17 ~ Fun with Envelopes

Hello friends, today's project is for

I am sure you have tons of these in your mail box every month

I decided to make something pretty out of these...
fold them this way, kind of have a longer end and a short end
trim both ends so you have opening on both sides

I used double-sided tape on the shorter side

and stack all 6 envelopes together, you should have a flip book with lots of pockets at this point

side view......

when I started this project, I have a mini album in mind, but along the way, a little girl named Dolce said: "I wanted a mini book just like that, so I could put all the poems I wrote in the pockets".
Now I have to toss the mini album idea out of the window and Dolce has a say on the patterned paper used on this project

cover all the pockets and envelope with lovely paper

you should now have a pretty book with lots of pockets

last step is to make the chipboard cover front and back, embellished it

Done! Now this is officially a "Dolce's Poem Book"

Hop over to LESSology to see what the creative team had line up for you
