I started teaching full time at a private school last week, so I am out from 7 am till 7 pm, whew..... so glad it is just a substitute position, however it is a long term substitute till end of this school year. I still have my regular classes in the afternoon. I took the offer because I like the school and happy to establish a relationship with them, still no intention to do full time in the future though but definitely would like to fill up someone's spot here and there, long term substitute teacher, LOL!

City Crafter Challenge Blog Week 440 and New Craft Room Reveal

This week at City Crafter Challenge Blog, the theme is P-P-Pick up a Penguin, here's my very first penguin stamp from Avery Elle....

the background paper is from Jillibean Soup....

the snowflakes on the background are from Papertrey Ink, a mini stamp set called "places, please"

the frame die is from Papertrey Ink as well, and I used a die from My Creative Time to create the snow hill and them filled it with Martha Stewart Tinsel Glitters.

Before I go, a peek into my craft room in our new house.

we only have two extra bedrooms in the main house of this new house, they are the Jack and Jill room, which means, both room has their own vanity sink attached but they are connected with one bathroom/toilet, we make the room looking out the backyard the guest room and I used this one facing the south side of the yard as my craft room/office space, I leave lots of space for a futon just in case we need an extra guest room, so I limit my storage unit to only one side of the wall....

I got myself only one Ikea Alex unit and reuse all the storage units I have at the old house....

keeping the old wall unit near the door to the bathroom, I do have an extra storage near the vanity sink.....

this room also has a walk in closet, so I get more storage for my crafting stuff, except I really haven't find time to organize them yet....

since this is not just craft room but also my office where I prepare my class work as well as browsing the Internet, so I spend a lot of time in here and really need a TV...... an old one we used to have in our old guest room but sitting on a new Ikea storage unit.

Right now, I still have tons of boxes sitting in the Casita as well as the walk in closet of the other bedroom, therefore, I am trying to sell as much as I could, check them out HERE!!!!

not just Papi, I also love the other two dogs that visit me often and I pet-sit frequently, Clare's dog Lila....

and Dolce's dog Alfie Coconut....

I love them all!

I have a stamp set from My Creative Time that has a lots of bake wares and baking equipments.... they are cute and pretty....

look at all those sweet things, mixing bowls, rolling pin, pipping bag, whisk, cookies and pie, don't you love them?

after I stamped all those pretty images onto my cardstock, I work some polka dots in different shades around them.....

Happy National Scrapbook Day!

First Saturday in May is National Scrapbook Day, how could I not participant? I started scrapbooking way back when I had my first born, and those days, it is not so easy to get supplies in Singapore, so whenever I traveled to Australia, New Zealand or United States, I bought tons of supplies, still remember when we were in Sarasota, Florida one year, my receipt from the scrapbook store there is so long that it is "taller" than me if I place them side by side, my two younger ones were so amused that they want me to take a picture with it!

So..... here is my latest 12x12 layout!

I tried to salvage some of the old photos from the kids album, in these photos, Clare was around a year old....

I used to sing to the kids to put them to sleep, and every time when I sang "You are my Sunshine" to Clare, she would cry, it was so funny!

besides that, she is really my sunshine as she is a happy go lucky girl, happy all the time, till today!
