Totally Gorjuss - Challenge 105 - Sketch

Well Hellloooo Everyone

A happy Saturday to you all!

This week's challenge at Totally Gorjuss is to follow a sketch.  I know I keep saying it but I love, love, love working with sketches :o)  So without further ado here it is:

This week's sponsor is the wonderful Joanna Sheen - I love Joanna's on line craft shop and the best bit is, there is no Postage and Packaging charges - just fab.  So to be in with a chance to win a voucher to spend in her shop we want you to follow the sketch and post your link on the Totally Gorjuss Challenge Blog - it's that simple.  Go and have a look see at what all the DT girls have created - wonderful!

Here is the card that I created:

Now this is the first time I have had a go at trying to colour pleats, but I've gotta say I'm pretty pleased with how her dress has turned out, even if I do say so myself ;o)  I have seen some truly awesome images that have used this technique and I am completely blown away by them and definitely need to practise lots more.  For those of you who are interested there is a fab tutorial on the Make It Crafty site and the link is here.

The recipe for my card is:

Digi Stamp:  Tiddly Inks "You & Me"
Digi Papers:  Raspberry Road "Renaissance"
Lace:  From My Stash
Ribbon:  Seam Binding Coloured with Fired Brick Distress Ink
Charm, Pearls & Doily:  The Hobby House

Image has been coloured with Copics and Promarkers:

Skin:  E21 E00 E000
Ladies Hair:  E35 E34 E33 E31
Ladies Dress:  Burgundy - Crimson - Ruby Promarkers
Gents Hair:  T6 T4 T3 T2
Gents Suit:  E29 E27 E25
Gents Shoes:  T6 T5 T4
Shading & Outline:  W5 W3 W1 W0 Blender Pen

Papers, image and doily have been edged with Antique Linen and Walnut Stain Distress Inks.

As per usual I have followed the sketch through to the inside of the card:

And that's it!

I do hope you can come and join us and I look forward to seeing what you have all created.

I hope you all have a happy and safe Bonfire night.

Toodle pip.
