The Hobby House Art Pads

Well Hello to You All - Remember Me
I think I'm finally making progress and getting back into the swing of things slowly but surely and have a card to share with you today

Ain't he just so sweet.

Here is a picture of the full card:

The colouring is still a bit rusty and I will have to try and practise more.

Now, let me tell you about these wonderful Art Books from The Hobby House;  each book has a theme with 6 different Elisabeth Bell images of which you get 5 of each, so 30 pages in total.  The card the image is printed on works wonderfully with any alcohol pens so you can colour it whatever colour you want and die cut the image out in whatever shape you want too.

I gotta tell ya these are great value for money at just £5.99 each - I love them.

So on to the recipe for my card:

Image:  Summer Daze Art Book from The Hobby House
Digi Papers:  Echo Park - All About a Boy

I have coloured the image with my Copics:

Skin:  E21 E00 E000 / R20 R30 (cheeks)
Hair:  E27 E25 E23 E21
Clothes:  B05 B04 B02
Boots:  E43 E42 E41 E40
Horse:  E33 E31 E30 / Y21 E53 E51 E50
Shading:  W5 W3 W1 W0 W00

I have outlined the image with C3
The papers have been distressed to within an inch of their life and then edged with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink

And that's it.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a peek.  I hope you all have a great weekend.

There is a new challenge over at Die-ing for a Challenge where the theme this week is "Christmas" - easy peasy huh!

Don't forget you can bag yourself a whooping £25 voucher to spend in the fabulous Dies to Die For store.  Wouldn't it be great to win with lots and lots of new products in the Dies to Die For store; but as always you have to be in it to win it so dig out your dies, Big Shots, Sizzix, Wizards, Grand Caliburs and starting crafting.

Now there are a few rules to observe which are:

RULES:

* All entries must have at least one Dies to Die for product on
* You can combine our challenge with NO MORE THAN 3 OTHER CHALLENGES
* You must link back to the Dies to Die for Blog
NO back linking, new projects/cards only please
* Only 2 Entries per person please
* Entries which fail to observe the above will be removed and will not be eligible for the prize

Wouldn't it be nice to bag some lovely goodies just before Christmas!

So what are you waiting for?  Get your entries in over at Die-ing for a Challenge and make sure you check out what the lovely DT girlies have made - beautiful as ever.

Today I would like to share with you a card I have made using one of the stamps from Moreheads Christmas Kids - Surprise Collection and what a little cutie he is too.  There are absolutely stacks of stamps in this collection so make sure you check it out.

Here is the full card:

I've tried to keep the card along the 'vintagey' theme with traditional Christmas colours which I just love.  All the items I have used can be found at Dies to Die For and the recipe for the card is as follows:

Stamp:  Moreheads - Christmas Kids - Surprise
Paper:  Echo Park - This & That Christmas (its not showing in the store at the moment but contact Tracy and I'm sure she will get it for you)
Kraft Card:  Bazzill Kraft
Holly Die:  Cheery Lynn - Holly Corner
Banner:  Die-Namics - Fishtail Banner

The image has been coloured with Copics:

Skin:  E21 E00 E000 E0000 / R20 R30 (cheeks)
Hat:  R39 R29 R27 R24 R22 / G29 G46 G24 (holly) / YR24 YR23 YR21 YR20 (bell)
Top:  E43 E42 E41 E40
Sock:  R39 R29 R27 R24 R22 / E43 E42 E41 E40
Shading:  W5 W3 W1 W0

To outline the image and edge the papers I have used Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink

To add some dimension to the card I made a frame out of Kraft card and stitched around it with my sewing machine before adding some foam pads to the back to adhere it to the main card.  Here is a picture so you can see the depth that this adds to the card:

And there you have it.  I hope you like it.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and have a look.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

Take care.

Totally Gorjuss - Challenge 149 - Rawr!

Hey Everyone

First of all my apologies for not being round to see you all on your blogs for the last two weeks :o(

I have been having problems with my telephone line and internet, but to cut a long story short, two weeks later I am back in business, (fingers, arms, toes and legs crossed); so my mission this weekend is to see what you have all been up too - can't wait.  Thank you all for your lovely comments.

This week's challenge over at Totally Gorjuss is 'Rawr!' and our sponsor is Heather's Hobbie Haven.  So to be in with a chance to win a voucher to spend in their store, we want to see all your fantastic creations around the 'Rawr!' theme.

As always, make sure you check out what the wonderful DT Girlies over at Totally Gorjuss have created for you - they are just fabulous as always.

Here is my little creation:

I am so loving this little cutie!  I can just see him running around going "RAWR!" - love it!

The recipe for the card is:

Papers:  Echo Park "Boys" Collection Pack from Dies to Die For (these are just awesome!)
Digi Stamp:  Tiddly Inks - Little So and So
Buttons:  The Hobby House

The image has been coloured with Copics:

Skin:  E11 E00 E000 / R20 R30 (Cheeks)
Dinosaur Suit:  YG25 YG03 YG01 / B99 B97 B95 / E42 E41 E40

I have outlined the image with Weathered Wood Distress Ink
All the paper and card has been edged with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink

I used the Copic Colourless Blender to create a scale-like effect on his dinosaur suit by just lightly pressing the nib onto the image once it was coloured

And finally, I used a black fine-liner pen to create a border around the edges of the image and papers.

And that's it from me.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend.  Thank you for all your lovely comments.

Take care
