a hundred hearts would be too few

Good morning! Today I am coming at you from Crafts 4 Eternity where our challenge theme this week is Valentine.

I have made a mixed media canvas.

I first coloured my canvas with three rows of pink gelatos, dividing my canvas into thirds and starting with the lightest shade at the top and the darkest at the bottom.

I then created some texture using different stencils and some texture paste which picked up some of the surrounding colour. Flowers are by Prima.

My heart is a Spellbinders ~ Love Heart die double layered. Then I have my cupid, diecut from the Tim Holtz ~ Love Struck Bigz die. I diecut all from Little Yellow Bicycle ~ Sweet Love collection papers. Everything is edged with silver patina wax.

My heart and arrow are My Mind's Eye Dimensional Stickers popped up on pop dots. The arrow wasn't the right colour, so I rubbed some silver wax patina over it.

My words are cut from the papers. I added some silver wax patina around the edges and then I added some rub ons to blend them in.

golden cherubs

Hello! Today I am sharing another canvas I have made following the Mixed Media Studio online course. This is for the third week and is led by Frank Garcia.

I have started my canvas with a layer of vellum and then added some texture with texture paste through a stencil and sprinkled some clear rock candy glitter onto it whilst it was still wet. I then embossed some stars on and added some Mustard Seed Distress Glitter.

I stamped the image: La Blanche ~ Angels with Trumpets with Metallic Gold StazOn ink onto a piece of gessoed canvas.

The little golden baubles are just decorations from old Christmas crackers. I always keep them, just in case I can use them!

The flowers were die cut from a Spellbinders ~ Layered Poinsettia die.

deer autumn

Good morning! Today I am sharing with you, my project for the AUTUMN challenge at Everybody Art Challenge.

Papers: Graphic 45 ~ Mother Goose. I've used the 8x8 and the 6x6.

My image is Magnolia ~ Tilda with Sunflower an oldie but goodie. Coloured with copics and added some stickles.

Again, I am into the Tim Holtz Distress Glitter. I've used mainly Clear Rock Candy but on the die-cut that Tilda is standing, I have used Mustard Seed. I first stamped with a Magnolia ~ Sunflower stamp. You can just see the outline if you look carefully.

Die-cut layers: Spellbinders ~ Nestabilities 5 x 7 Elegant Labels 4, Nestabilities Labels Four and Grand Nestabilities Grand Labels Four.

The deer (oops or reindeer!) is a Sizzix Tim Holtz ~ Reindeer Flight die.

More close ups. Caught when the sun was shining, so it shows the layers better.

put on your party dress

Good morning! Today at Crafts 4 Eternity we have a sketch theme.

Here is a birthday card I made, for a sweet little 8 year old that I know.

The girl for whom the card was made is called Rosie and this is spelled out on the banner and I used roses card stock from Magnolia. The banner was created with a Magnolia ~ Cloud and banner die.

I've vintaged this with distress ink and distress glitter.

The cute little image is Magnolia ~ Big Ice Cream coloured with copics.

Die cuts used around the image are: Spellbinders ~ Timeless Rectangle.

Again, I've used lots of Tim Holtz diress glitter ~ clear rock candy.

The Magnolia tag is sitting in a little white paper bag and contains the number 8.

The title tag was created with a double layer of the Spellbinders ~ Nested Lacey Pennants and the sentiment is from an Odd Girl stamp.

love bird birdhouse

Good morning! Today I am sharing my project at Everybody Art Challenge, where our theme this week is feathers!

I have been buying up Sizzix dies lately, can't get enough and some of them are great for using up scraps.

For this birdhouse, I used the Sizzix Birdhouse Rounded 3D die. I covered each side of the chipboard with cardstock before cutting out each piece. I also cut out an additional circle base with a Spellbinders die.

Papers: Echo Park ~ Yours Truly.

The little flowers were created with a Martha Stewart die and I added a gem to the centre.

For the fence I used a Magnolia die.

I used a Spellbinders ~ Fancy Framed Tags Two die to accentuate the opening. Added a cute little Prima bird.

On each side I have some cute Papermania feathers.

The right side with the feathers.

Here is the roof!

The butterfly is of course a Tim Holtz butterfly die.

You may notice some glitteryness about this project. I used Tim Holtz ~ Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter.

This is actually a box and here you can see.

so happy.

Hellooooo! Well I bet you weren't expecting to see me today! I have just joined the Stamp With Fun design team and today is my debut!

So this week, we have a summer theme! You just can't beat a summer wedding and so that is what I chose.

Papers: The Girl's Paperie ~ Kitch.

Image: fast becoming one of my favourites Magnolia Wedding Tilda. I coloured her with copics and stickles.

I've used Spellbinders dies for the circles and circle scallops. Added loads of Frantage. Loving that right now!

I added a vintage key. First I frantaged it, but didn't like the effect. So I sanded it down and then rubbed on some metallic paint in different shades until I had the look I wanted. Love that some of the frantage still shows through!

The wooden clock is by Prima and got the frantage treatment too.

Some handmade flowers.

bride in church doorway

What a fab challenge we have today at Crafts 4 Eternity: use three embellishments starting with the same letter.

I have BRICKS, BEADS and BLOOMS.

The base papers are Doodlebug and these must be amongst the first papers I ever bought! So good to be using them up now!

The church doorway was created with a Spellbinders ~ Arched Windows One die.

I created the brickwork around the doorway using texture paste and a That Special Touch ~ Stone Wall Mask. Love the texture it gives.

it's a party!

Good morning! What on earth happened to the weather?! Crazy huh?!

Today we have a tic tac toe recipe over at Crafts 4 Eternity. Just choose any three items in a row, up, down or diagonal. I have chosen pink, three of something and bling.

Well the pink is obvious!

Papers: S.E.I. ~ Mimosa. I've had these forever! They have a glittery sheen to them.

My three of something are my three layered diecuts. I have used Spellbinders ~ Grand Decorative Ovals One and Gold Labels Four.

Image: Magnolia ~ Happy New Year Tilda.

by the seaside

Hello and a Happy Monday to you! Today we have a new challenge from Cupcake Craft Challenges where we have a get wet challenge, so would like to see any water themed project.

I've created a sunny(!) seaside picture, well we can at least hope!

Sorry, cannot for the life of me reproduce the cropped version on here. Computer failure ... or me ...

Papers: Basic grey ~ June Bug

Image: Magnolia ~ Tilda in Key Largo.

Tilda is on Spellbinders ~ Decorative Labels Twenty-Two

Used a Magnolia ~ Simple Tag for the little tag sticking out.

The sun is shining with this X-Cut Doily. Added a >La La Land Banner die cut.

Some clouds  using Magnolia dies.

And my waves were created with a Memory Box die.

Thank you for looking.
