Well the first thing you need to know is that it constantly flashes back and forth to Kaylie (Karen Gillian) and Tim’s (Brenton Thwaites) childhood, and present day. It might be a bit much for some, but seems to be effective for what they are trying to accomplish. They use it to set up the story, and later get in some scares.   Speaking of scares, there aren't many jump out of your seat moments. However there is one moment that might get those eating popcorn to double check what they are putting in their mouth.
