Purple Onion Designs- Ruby and Forest!

Hi my crafting friends,

Today I have a couple of sweet Purple Onion Designs images to share with you...

This little scene features Ruby and Forest. I first stamped and masked out Ruby and then overstamped with the larger forest stamp set. I coloured with Distress Markers. I then created an aperture in some patterned DP and layered up on 3d foam pads. I cut some background DP and adhered the image to it and then adhered the aperture over the top so that the image showed through. I then attached the whole panel to the front of a card blank and then tied some string around the card blank and added a sentiment from MFT.

Purple Onion Designs- Sunny Blooms and Charlotte

Hi all!

How are you doing? Today I have a teeny mouse to share from Purple Onion Designs...

I stamped out Charlotte mouse and masked her out whilst I stamped Sunny Blooms on top. I coloured with Distress Markers. I cut out an aperture in this gorgeous PTI paper (I can't remember what die I used-sorry!) I then raised up the DP panel on 3d foam pads and adhered over the image once I'd adhered that to the card base. Finally added some sequins.

Here's your close up. Awwwwww!

Purple Onion Designs- Riley and Garden Bushes!

Hellooooo!

Hope you're all getting some crafty time today. I have a Purple Onion Designs card today featuring Riley and the Garden Bushes...

I stamped and masked Riley and then overstamped the bushes so they appear behind Riley. I then coloured with Distress Markers. Papers are an old set by Basic Grey- I thought the gentle colours were a perfect match for this image. I then made a little frame for the image and added some garden twine beneath.

Love these stamps so much. How cute is Riley there?! He's perfect for all those male gardeners out there.

Hope you're all well and not too chilly! Seriously, Spring, what happened????

Today I have a Purple Onion Designs card to share featuring Tucker (the snail) and Toadstall....

I stamped out the design (masking out Tucker) and watercolored using Distress Markers. I then added some white gel pen to the toadstool for contrast. I stamped out the sentiment separately and cut out. I assembled the papers and stuck down and then adhered the image on top. Finally, added the sentiment.

Purple Onion Designs- Rosie!

Hello everyone!

Hope you're all well and if you're in the UK, bracing yourself for a week of snow and freezing weather! I'm steadfastly making Spring cards in an effort to ignore the weather!!!

Here's a Purple Onion card using the amazingly cute Rosie...

I stamped Rosie and masked her out so I could stamp the Birch Tree Background behind her. I then coloured with Distress Markers. I die cut a really simple frame using some woodgrain MME paper and then added a label sentiment by Altenew.

Purple Onion Designs- Buttercup Bunny

Hello my crafting lovelies!!

How goes it? Hope you're all well. Today I have an aperture card featuring Purple Onion's Buttercup Bunny and Blooms...

I stamped Buttercup and then masked her out before stamping Blooms. I then coloured using Distress Markers and once dry stamped the sentiment.  I then cut a panel to fit the front of the card blank and adhered the flowery and striped papers as shown. I then die cut an aperture using the MFT Wonky Window die. I adhered the watercoloured panel to the card base, raised the die-cut panel on 3d foam pads and adhered the panel so that the image was perfectly placed underneath.

Here's your close up! How cute is Buttercup??!

Purple Onion Designs- Grace and Henry Skating

Hi ya! Hope you're all well and prepared for Christmas.

This is my last but one Christmas card for this year and I'm quite looking forward to posting something other than Christmas cards to be honest, I don't know about you!! Have you noticed in the last week all the craft companies are now advertising Valentine's Day products??!

This CAS card is purely the wintery scene and I really think it makes for a different card- different for me anyway!!

I stamped (using masking) and then coloured Grace (Skating Fox), Henry (Skating Bear) and Pond/Lake Background with Distress Markers and then added some snow using a white gel pen. Finally stamped an MFT sentiment (now retired).

Purple Onion Designs- Walter!

Hi my crafting lovelies...

Today I have just the sweetest image to show you- it's Walter (cute name) the penguin by Purple Onion Designs...

I coloured Walter with copics and added some Stickles to the fur on his hat. I then fussy cut. I die cut a square frame of Reverse Confetti paper and stuck to a small card blank. I then added the die cut PTI  "snow" and stamped the accompanying sentiment above it. I then die cut a PTI snowflake and placed that above the sentiment and adhered Walter so he was sitting on the "snow". Finally added a gem to the snowflake.

See you again soon for another Purple Onion card x

Purple Onion- Snow!

Hi everyone!

Are you done with your Christmas cards?! I'm close to being done with showing you all of mine, just a couple more to go now!! I'm currently working on some Project Life projects but I've got lots of new fresh cards to show you that are non-Christmasy so I'll be showing you those in a week or so. Yay! I've got a bit of Christmas card fatigue this year I think.

So today I'm showing you a couple of really sweet Purple Onion stamps I used to create a little wintery scene. The stamps I used are Snow (Snowman with broom) and Snowy Trees...

I stamped out the snowman and masked him out and then stamped the snowy trees over the top to create the scene. I then watercoloured using Distress Markers, added some white gel pen to create snow and lots of Stickles to the trees. I then stamped a sentiment from PTI. I cut out the image using a Nestie rectangular die and adhered to a kraft card blank. I then die cut the rest of the sentiment using a PTI die and added some twine.

I just love these stamps by Stacey- even the trees have character!!

Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Garden Girl Waterlily

Hey everyone!
Hope you're all well and getting plenty of crafting time.

Today I have a gorgeous Garden Girl to share with you, it's Waterlily...

Isn't she just the cutest? I love her hat! I coloured her with Distress Ink markers. I really tried to give some depth of colour using yellows, greens and purples. Papers are by Kaisercraft- just distressed and then I added some cheesecloth to soften and make a focal point of the image. The sentiment is by Purple Onion Designs stamped with PTI Autumn Rose to match the cardstock.

Love these little raindrops- think they're perfect for this image!

Thought I'd enter this into Bellarific Friday this week which is ANYTHING GOES!

Purple Onion Designs- Wishing

Hey everyone! Hope you're all well.

Today I'm back with some more Distress Ink colouring using the adorable Wishing by Purple Onion Designs...

I watercolored using Distress Inks. This is such a beautiful design that I just wanted very gentle colouring which is unusual for me but sometimes the image warrants it! The papers are by Tilda and I distressed them using my Tim Holtz tool. Main base of the card was cut using a large Go Kreate die for added interest. The sentiment is by LOTV.

Thought I'd enter some challenges...

Crafty Sentiment Designs- Anything Goes
Everybody Art Challenge- Lace or pearls
Cutie Pie Challenge- All Creatures..
Stamps & Fun=creativity- Inspired by a song- Wishing and Hoping!
Ribbon Girl- Use an image

Purple Onion Designs- Flora!

Happy Christmas week, my crafty friends!

Just thought I'd pop by with another Purple Onion Designs Christmas card.  I used the same design as the Cedar The Fox card I made a few weeks ago. When you're running short of time, using the same design really helps!

I coloured Flora with copics and added white gel pen to her scarf then fussy cut. Paper is by Fancy Pants, sequins by Doodlebug and sentiment by PTI.

Purple Onion- Cedar The Fox

Hey all! Today I've got a Purple Onion card to share with you featuring Cedar The Fox.

Now you may have noticed that I used this last layout on my previous Stamping Bella card. Well, the fact is I've used it on ALOT on my CAS Christmas cards this year just because I've been so lacking in time so expect to see this sketch, er, multiple times but hopefully it won't be too boring as I'll be using different stamps each time!

Cedar is coloured with copics and fussy cut. I cut a stitched square to fit my card base and then die-cut a stitched circle within it. I used a sheet from Oh Deer paper pad and adhered to cardbase so it showed through the aperture. I then added Cedar in front and a PTI sentiment (cut out using MFT banner die). Finally added some sequins.
