Pillow Box Talk

Hi everyone!  Happy Monday.  I hope you had a great weekend.  Not too much going on here....Same ol' Same ol'.

Today I wanted to share with you this cute little box I made...I received the Martha Stewart Gift Box Tool at the Fave Crafts party back during CHA as well as the cute little Stripes, Dots and Hearts stamps from Ann Butler (I still have more fun quilt stamps to play with...HOORAY ME!) .  You know how they say "two great things that go great together?".  Yep...As soon as I unboxed and got organized I couldn't wait to make this sweet little box.

Of course I had to use some Core'dinations Cardstock for my box...the weight is just perfect.  Then I stamped with a combination of different diestress inks with the different paterns....Layered everything up, and added a little tag I had diecut a while back and a big flower....done!
And of course, I added the tag upside down....sigh.  Oh well...still super cute (IMHO).  lol

Have a great day!

Hugs.

Mixed Media Tag Love

Happy Wednesday everyone!  Sorry I am a bit late here toda....with the crazy, rainy weather we are experinecing, dt commitments, CHA commitments...just haven't had much time for my poor negelected blog.  Sorry.....

Anyway....a little something to brighten your day?  Way back when, October, I went to the educator day at Prima marketing...I have shared with you a few of the things we did in Anna's section, Julie Nutting's section...so today....Jamie's section.  you know I love Jamie!  She is so mondo talented and just about the sweetest thing ever.  In her section we played with her stencils and stamps.  loves!!!!  Anyway....here are a couple of tags I made.

Of course I love the stamps...and I had to turn summer into a blonde...  Love my watercolor pencils...
I mixed in a few flowers, chipboards, and trims from my stash....
And added bits of the new texture crackle pastes, and mica from Prima's mixed media line.
So much fun.

Hugs.

More with Bloom Girls Mixed Media

Hey everyone!  Happy Weekend!  I hope yours is great.

Today I just wanted to pop in and share this mixed media, reverse canvas I made using one of Jamie Doughtery's Bloom Girl stamps from Prima...as well as lots of other gorgeous prima goodies and some Lindy's Stamp Gang Flat Fabios and Magicals.

You can see the variety of flowers Prima has created as well as a few resin pieces, a clock and clock hands  swoon....And that stencil?  It is from ClearScraps (love)

The canvas was misted with Lindy's Flat Fabios and then things were glued at different heights using plenty of foam dots...the stamp was colored with Faber Castell Aquarelles.

Thanks for stopping by.

Mixed Media Canvas

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share with you a canvas that I made inspired by some of the recent Live with Prima shows.

Julie Nutting's doll stamps are hot...and I couldn't resist creating with my interpretation of one.
Lots of gorgeous Annalee papers here.  I love the gorgeous patterns and colors in this older collection, I never seem to tire of it.
Prima flower grab bags , from Your Memories Here, are a must have in my collection...and at such a great price you can grab a couple.  And don't forget the gorgeous wood icons to go with.
Bits of Prima LaceDistress Inks, and Say it in Crystals finish out my project.

I haven't decided yet where this lovely will live, but I am sure I will find her a great home.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs.

Peace and Quiet

It is late at night and I finally have a little peace and quiet here.  The last few days have been a blur, with the swim meet, the overnighter (didn't bother actually sleeping) and Father's Day.

I did a blog today over at Your Memories Here using lots of their yummy products and a sketch from Sassy Lil Sketches.

I have been having a great time blogging for them these past few weeks.  Who knew a guest DT job would be so fun.  If you haven't had a chance, you should definitely check out their store.

Well, today we are off to Great America, a little pre-celebration of Ainsley's birthday.

Hugs.

Guest DT for June

I was so thrilled to be asked to be the June guest designer over at Your Memories Here.   They have a great shop with fabulous prices and many of my favorite products.  If you haven't ever checked them out, you should!

I will be blogging on Tuesdays for the rest of the month there, so you are guaranteed to see some scrappy goodness from me each Tuesday this month.  Gotta love commitment, it forces me to produce.  lol

My first project was this.....Based on a Sketchy Thursdays Sketch.

Yep, that's Ainsley again....being her sassy self.  That photo was too cute not to scrap.  hee hee.  Lots of fun goodies from the YMH store including the papers, Glimmer mist (did I mention they have great prices), the fun little stamp, some Prima roses, and a new fave of mine....tear drops.

I used a few favorite techniques; making my own flowers, this one just a simple circle cut like pie and crumpled with a rose in the middle; using packaging, gotta reduce, reuse, recycle;  lol  and some flourishes and a font cut on the Cricut.  Oh, and can't forget a spritz of Glimmer Mist on the background.

Well, I have a few other scrappy goodies this week, but nothing yet to share.  Busy, busy, busy with swim and settling into our summer routine.  Did I mention I hate mornings.  ugggghhhh

Don't forget to check out the Your Memories Here store and blog.

Hugs.
