Ieri vi ho parlato del corso di cucito creativo

presso il negozio
Metro Quadro Home Collection

di Ferrara, dove ho rivisto Silvia di Shabby Soul

e vi ho raccontato di come poi ci siamo

dirette verso Piazza Duomo,

perchè i nostri mariti

(che parlavano tra loro manco si conoscessero da sempre),

ci avevano indicato che c'era il mercatino dell'antiquariato.

In realtà il mercatino si teneva nell'adiacente Piazza Trento e Trieste,

ed ho scoperto che viene organizzato ogni primo sabato e prima domenica 

del mese. Qui il calendario con le prossime date.

C'erano molte cose carine ed io e Silvia

giravamo di stand in stand, finchè Silvia

non ha trovato dei vecchi caratteri tipografici

e mi ha subito chiamata.

Potevamo trattenerci? Eh no! Li abbiamo

comprati!!!

Io, poi, ho un debole per i vecchi caratteri tipografici,

ho realizzato dei quadretti per il soggiorno,

ed ho esposto le nostre iniziali

vicino al caminetto.

Cosa ho comprato questa volta?

Dei caratteri molto grandi per comporre la

parola HOME. 

Non appena trovo la collocazione giusta in casa,

ve li mostro!

E' stato un altro pomeriggio molto piacevole,

a chiaccherare, camminare e scambiarsi idee...

Mi ripeto: che bella la blogosphhera

quando ti dà l'opportunità di conoscere persone

meravigliose!

I know it's Tuesday

and the past week end looks

so far. I know we all are now

thinking about

the new week end to come,

but I want to share with you

what I did on Saturday

and Sunday.

Lo so che è martedì

e che il week end passato

sembra così lontano.

Lo so che stiamo già tutti

pensando al nuovo week end,

ma voglio mostrarvi cosa ho fatto

sabato e domenica.

First of all:

GARDENING!!

Prima di tutto:
GIARDINAGGIO!!

On Saturday morning we went to buy
some flowers for the garden.
I chose ranunculus and forget me not
to create a composition to
put in front of my entrance door,
in the porch.

Sabato mattina siamo andati a
comprare alcuni fiori per il giardino.
Io ho scelto dei ranuncoli e dei non ti scordar di me
per creare una composizione in vaso da
mettere di fronte alla porta d'entrata
sotto il portico.

I love Forget-me-not:

 they are wild and natural!

Also Sofia chose her own flower

to bring home: a white primrose.

She helped plant it and now

we go to see it every day!

Io amo i Non-ti-scordar-di-me:

sono selvaggi e naturali!

Anche Sofia ha scelto un fiore

da portare a casa: una primula bianca.

Ci ha aiutato a piantarla ed

ora andiamo tutti i giorni

a vedere come stà!

All the garden is in bloom,
è beautiful to spend time there and
watch all the flowers!

Tutto il giardino è in fiore:
è bellissimo trascorrervi del tempo
a guardare tutti i fiori!

Then: SHOPPING!!

Then on Sunday morning we

went to Piazzola sul Brenta for

the antique market...

Poi: SHOPPING!!

Poi, domenica mattina siamo

andati a Piazzola sul Brenta

per il mercatino dell'antiquariato...

I was desperately looking for:

old woods boxes

and

old leather suitcases....

...Didn't find none of them,

but I bought some

skeleton keys and

some old books.

Stavo disperatamente cercando:

vecchie cassete di legno

e

vecchie valigie di pelle...

...Non ho trovato niente,

ma ho comprato

alcune vecchie chiavi

e dei vecchi libri.

Hello my dearests!

First of all, I want to thank all

of you who left me such lovely comments

on my last post.

Salve carissime!

Prima di tutto voglio ringraziare

tutte coloro le quali hanno lasciato

commenti così carini al mio ultimo post.

So, the bad news I've had last week

is that my mother in law and her partner split up.

So, as they lived toghether, my mother in law had to

bring all her things and come back to live in her old flat,

which hasn't been inhabited for years.

For now, she is staying with us, untill the old flat

is cleaned and ok.

Last week - and also this week - I'm helping her

with the moving.

Allora, la cattiva notizia che ho avuto la settimana scorsa,

è che mia suocera e il suo compagno si sono lasciati.

Quindi, dato che vivevano insieme, mia suocera

ha dovuto prendere tuttte le sue cose e tornare a vivere

nel suo vecchio appartamento

che non era abitato da anni

Quindi, per ora, stà da noi, in attesa che

l'appartamento sia a posto.

La scorsa settimana - e anche questa -

l'ho aiutata con il trasloco.

We are all still shocked by this news,

but I think that she did a very courageous thing:

she decided to start a new life, which, at 60 years old

means a great strenght.

Siamo ancora tutti sotto shock dalla notizia,

ma io penso che lei abbia fatto una cosa molto coraggiosa:

 ha deciso di ricominciare una nuova vita, il che, a 60 anni suonati,

significa avere una grande forza. 

As you may deduce,

there a lot of other thoughts about this fact in my mind right now.

But at the moment I feel like I'm in the eye of the storm,

and I'm so busy trying to help my mother in law,

that I have no time to bring them into a order.

Come potrete dedurre,

ho un sacco di altri pensieri in testa riguardo questo fatto.

Ma mi sento come nell'occhio del ciclone

e sono così impegnata ad aiutare - per quanto possibile -

mia suocera, che non ho il tempo per metterli in ordine.

A consequence of this new fact is that

we are having a lot of new furniture

which my mother in law is giving to us

as she has no place to put them in her old flat.

One of this is this ancient French coffe table.

Una conseguenza di questo nuovo fatto

è che stiamo ricevendo un po' di nuovi mobili

che mia suocera ci stà regalando

dato che lei non ha posto dove metterli nel vecchio appartamento.

Uno è questo antico tavolino francese.

It's from the 18° century and it needs some reparations.

E' del 18° secolo ed ha bisogno di un bel restauro.

At the moment I have placed it

in the living room

with a nice hand made croquet runner on it

to cover the ruined part.

I would like to restore it...

I will think about it when my mind will

be a little bit cleared up.

Al momento l'ho messo nel soggiorno

con un bel runner fatto a mano all'uncinetto.

Vorrei restaurarlo...

Ci penserò quando avrò la mente

un po' più libera!

Yesterday we (me and Max) went to Padova

for a day out shopping...

...and found out that there were

the antique market!

When I saw it I felt in love

and tought it would be perfect

in the kitchen!

Ieri noi (io e Max) siamo andati a Padova
per una giornata di shopping...
...ed abbiamo scoperto che c'era pure
il mercatino dell'antiquariato!!!

Quando ho visto questa mensola
me ne sono innamorata ed ho pensato
che sarrebe stata perfetta
in cucina!!!

I can't wait to put it on!!!

Non vedo l'ora di attaccarla al muro!!!

When I found her blog and shop, I was sighing all the time because of the wonderful images!

These images are just what I need now! A little bit of eye candy!

 We are running to finish some big works at my new house, so hopefully next week we will go on holiday!

I really need a vacation! My head is so full of projects, home decor ideas and many other stuff that I don't even know if what I've already chosen for my house is the right choice!
