Looking for Groomsmen Gifts?

Posted by abie on 10:50 PM in ,
When my husband and I were preparing for our wedding, we had a hard time searching for groomsmen gifts as I left the decision to my husband and he has no clue as to what to give his groomsmen and where to buy it.

If only we have discovered the site of Groomstop.com during our wedding preparation days, then things would have been easier for us. This site offers a wide selection of groomsmen gifts and they are of high quality that any member of the wedding entourage would be thankful to receive it. They even offer free shipping for orders $75 and above for more discounts and shopping convenience.

Just look at some of the items in their store:

They are not only limited to gifts for the groomsmen as they also have choices for gifts for other male members of the wedding entourage like the bearers, the ushers, the father of the bride and the groom and even for the groom himself. Majority of the items can be customized adding a more unique feel to the present.

If you are looking for the perfect token for the male members of the wedding party, then Groomstop.com is your perfect choice.

January 29, 2005 was the day I promised forever to Howell. We had a Lord of the Rings themed wedding since Howell proposed to me in front of hundreds of people during the Lord of the Rings premier night at Cinema 10 in SM Megamall.

We did not go all the way for the LOTR theme but we just had some things for the wedding where we followed the LOTR concept like the tables names (which we based on the places from the LOTR book). We also have a signature card and signature frame with me and Howell dressed up like Aragorn and Arwen. Too bad I did not learn about exclusivelyweddings.com when I was still preparing for our wedding so I can order one of their wedding cake toppers which I can even personalized based on our theme. What we did then was just ordered an LOTR toys online and that is what we use for our cake topper. It would have been nicer if we have a personalized cake topper from exclusivelyweddings.

But honestly, we really did not have a perfect wedding. There were a lot of glitches and boo-boos but are friends are wondering since we are all smiles all throughout the ceremony. Who could ask for anything more when finally I already tied the knot with the love of my life.

Wedding Bells

My good friend Lala will be getting married in just a few days. We are all excited for her and of course, no one can be more excited than her for her big day.

She made a lot of preparations for this special day. Everything is all set but the last time we talk she kept on saying that she should have used weight loss products so she will be more sexy and pretty on her big day but we kept on telling her that she will be the prettiest girl on that day in her groom’s eyes and of course, the bride will always shine.

I haven’t been out lately because of my condition so I haven’t bought a gift for the couple. But my wardrobe problem is solved already as Peachy lends me her evening gown which I will be wearing for the wedding.

I am sure this will be one fun and memorable wedding. You can see how much the couple love each other so I am sure I will be in tears again as I see her walk down the aisle to meet the man whom she will promise to love forever. To Lala and Cedric, Best Wishes!!

On Wedding Preps

Posted by abie on 4:32 PM in , ,
A few weeks ago, we went to Tagaytay with my brother and his fiancée to check out their wedding reception venue. It made me reminisce the time when we were still preparing for our own wedding.

I was a hands-on bride to be then. I made sure that I am always at the top of things because we wanted our wedding to be something that reflects our personality. So all the choices, from the suppliers, to the flowers, and souvenirs, was personally hand picked by us.

One of the favorite things in my wedding is our souvenirs which we got from the Knot Wedding Shop. The Knot website has been my homepage while we were preparing for our wedding since their site provided lots of tips and ideas like unique wedding favor ideas that can truly help couples who are preparing for their wedding.

I gave the link of The Knot to my future sister in law as I am sure she will be able to get a lot of nice ideas and tips that they can use for their wedding.

I haven’t posted pictures yet when my whole family accompanied my brother to her fiancée’s house to formally ask permission from his fiancée’s parents for their marriage. But my future sister and law and I were able to talk and, me my sibling and my cousin promised to help her with the preparations for their wedding.

I was exchanging sms messages with her just now and we are discussing about their honeymoon. My future sister in law wants to have their honeymoon in Europe but my brother thinks otherwise. My brother wants to prioritize other stuffs that will help them be prepared for married life like buying their own house, a new car and a new business as an additional source of income for their soon to be growing family. Add to that the expenses for their dream wedding so my sister in law thinks that a Europe honeymoon is not really possible.

But my brother promised her a romantic cancun vacation in the white beaches of Riviera Maya once they recovered from all their wedding expenses and my future sister in law is just thrilled. Who wouldn’t have be thrilled once you imagine a relaxing day while lounging in your room that is overlooking the ocean, or enjoying the pampering of a beach spa treatment. That is something that I will really be thrilled about.

Have you seen our wedding souvenirs? I was cleaning up pictures from my hard drive and I saw the picture of the souvenir that we had on our wedding and I thought to share it here because one of my friend who is getting married is asking for suggestions for their wedding favors.

souvenirs & gift to sponsors & female ento

When we were still planning for our wedding, I always visit the site of The Knot because they have a lot of great ideas on their site that we can definitely use as inspiration for our wedding. I always check their line of wedding souvenirs and my favorite is their wedding supplies that they can personalize with the couples names and initials. That is why when my friend asked for my suggestion for their wedding souvenir, I did not think twice and gave her the site of The Knot.

I am sure my friend will find lots of great personalized wedding supplies that she can buy to make their wedding truly unique and memorable.

Relly & Leiza Wedding

Posted by abie on 5:35 PM in , ,
I love weddings. If only we are rich, I might get married again and again. LOL.

Weddings are also one of my husband's favorite events to cover. He does photography as his sideline and hobby and he says that he enjoys to cover weddings more than any other events.

His last wedding coverage was last January, when he covered the wedding of his colleague, Relly and Leiza. They had a prenuptial pictorial at La Mesa Eco Park and my hubby and the couple really had fun during the shoot. Here are some shots from the pictorial:

The church ceremony was held at St. Rita De Cascia Parish and the reception was held at Sulu Hotel. I was looking at the pictures after the event and one of my favorite are the wedding flowers. And I was even more surprised when the bride spilled to me the cost for their flowers. It was really affordable but the flowers were just so fantastic. They got the flowers at a wholesale price and the flowers are ship overnight fresh from the flower farms so the flowers look fresh and gorgeous during the wedding ceremony.

Hubby has been really busy with work lately that he does not have enough time for his hobby but I hope he gets a wedding coverage soon as I know how much he enjoys covering weddings.

Tagaytay Wedding

Posted by abie on 8:07 AM in , ,
When we were preparing for our own wedding, our first choice for our church and wedding venue is Tagaytay. Imagine getting married with the scenic Taal Volcano in the background. That is really romantic. But then we decided not to have our wedding there because we know it is difficult and more expensive to plan for an out of town wedding. The logistics will be more difficult plus we have to think of our relatives also who might not be able to attend because of the long travel time from Manila to Tagaytay.

So when my brother spilled to me the great news that they are getting married in 2010 and they have chosen Tagaytay as their wedding venue, I got really excited. (At least, even if it is not my own wedding, I will have a chance to plan for a Tagaytay wedding.) They booked Caleruega church for their church ceremony and Sonya’s Garden as their wedding reception.

We went to Tagaytay a couple of weeks ago and we learned that there will be a bridal fair there. I told them to attend the bridal fair so at least they will get to meet with Local Wedding Vendors in Tagaytay so they don’t have to get suppliers from Manila hence, they will be able to save out of town fees.

I am really so excited for my brother’s wedding. They plan to bring the whole family the day before the wedding so we can even have a pre-wedding party. For sure this will really be one fun and romantic union.

Wedding Coverage on the 19th

Posted by abie on 12:45 AM in ,
I woke up around two AM last night and I saw my husband still in front of the computer. Look what he has been busy with:

He will be covering a wedding this coming September 19 where he will be the official photographer. The client is a colleague so he is also helping them out with the wedding preparations by not just being their photographer, but my husband has been helping them with other details of the wedding since his colleague knows that we personally prepared for all the aspects of our wedding when we got married last 2005.

The couple wants a unique personalized wedding favors and so they are asking for his suggestions since we had a personalized wedding favors too during our wedding. And so he decided to dig in to our wedding pictures to look for the picture of our wedding favors.

He got so inspired after looking through all our wedding pictures that he even made an entry about it in his blog.

Need help on wedding preparations

Posted by abie on 9:43 PM in ,
I need your help guys. A good friend of mine will be getting married in two months and has asked for my help in looking for cheap wedding favors.

I love wedding preparations that is why I got really excited when my friend asked me to help her for her wedding. But it has been four years since I prepared for my won wedding so I am a little out of the loop when it comes to new trends on weddings.

They like something personalize and something that reflects their personality as a couple. I already have some ideas in mind but these are the wedding favors that are in when I was still preparing for my wedding so I am not really sure if my ideas are still the “IN” thing now. I will be checking out the bookstore too and check on bridal magazines so I can get more ideas. Do you have any suggestions, guys?

Weekend Round Up

Posted by abie on 11:29 PM in , ,
SATURDAY
  • My brother is out of town so he can’t man our Cellphone store at Greenhills. So we have to deliver the cell phone units to our tindera
  • We decided to take Bela with us to Greenhills as she doesn’t want to let go of me (Nakatunog na naman kse na aalis kami ni Howell)
  • After Greenhills, we dropped by at Farley’s house to get the cocktail dress that he made for me. I will wear this for Thet’s wedding.
  • On our way home, Bela saw Malabon City Square (small mall in Malabon) and she keeps on saying “SS”, “SS”, “SS”. And so we figured, she was saying “SM.” Of course, we didn’t stop to go check out the mall and so she looks at me and gave me her paawa effect look. So we decided to have our lunch at SM na lang
  • We fetched Yaya Chris then decided to have our lunch at our favorite resto –Café Monaco in Banawe before going to SM. We had Bibimbop (one of our favorites there and my favorite Fruit Crepe). We’re so full after our lunch.
  • On our way to SM, Howell decided to drop by Dapitan Arcade / Suki Market to check some stuff for his new project (Bela’s TV/Play room). We didn’t find anything nice to buy, so after 30 minutes of window shopping, we decided to go to SM na lang.
  • I left Bela, Howell and Yaya Chris at the Toy Section while I went to buy a gift for Thet and Dex for their wedding.
  • Then we went home na as we we’re out again almost the whole day and we still have another long day tmorrow.

SUNDAY

Bela’s class at Little Gym: The topic for this week was singing so Teacher PJ incorporated a lot of singing to all the activities. During the opening circle, aside from singing the welcome song they sang ABC. And I was really proud as Bela was staying in the middle of the circle and was singing the song with Teacher PJ (as she knows some of the letters already). They also sang Twinkle, Twinkle and Bela was doing the actions with Teacher PJ as well.

Too bad we we’re not able to take pictures as Howell forgot to bring the CF cards for his camera.

After the class, we just had a quick lunch at Mc Do as we have to go home right away as we will be attending my friend Thet’s wedding at 5:30.

When we reached home we immediately went to the parlor for a HMU and Howell for a haircut. We left at 4:30 and since it’s Sunday, there is no traffic and we reached Wack Wack Golf & Country Club just before 5:30. Below are some pictures taken by Howell during the wedding.
