Snowflake Ornament - Simon Says Stamp/Tim Holtz DieCember Surprise

Good morning! Today I'm sharing a project using a fun surprise freebie from Simon Says Stamp in partnership with Tim Holtz - free with any $30 purchase of Tim Holtz product! This fun 3D snowflake die was so fun to play with! There is also some NEW lightweight cardstock (that would work PERFECTLY for this die!) - but I used normal cardstock since I didn't have that in hand yet. :) 

I die cut my snowflake from Seafoam cardstock - cutting the outer part 3 times, and the center pieces each one time. Before assembling, I scored the lines with my scoreboard - since the cardstock was heavier, this helped it to be able to fold easier. I also did a touch of ink blending around the outer edges with Seafoam ink. I then assembled it, using thin sturdy adhesive tape to hold the seams together. I used liquid glue to hold the center pieces on, and set something on top to hold it all together. Once that all dried, I added lots of Dazzling Gems in Prism to the center, a string of Silver Cord, and then used my finger to smudge on some Glossy Accents before sprinkling over Rock Candy chunky glitter for lots of sparkle! Sweater Weather - Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Special Release

 Hello! Today I'm sharing a fun fall card featuring a new SURPRISE release from Tim Holtz and Ranger, available now at Simon Says Stamp! This release is some fun large bottles of Rock Candy glitter - including a NEW Chunky glitter! I absolutely love this version, and had fun creating a fall theme card with lots of sparkle! It seems like since the calendar switched over to September, it suddenly feels like fall. And I am here for it!

I started off by using the Mod Forest embossing folder on white cardstock. I blended Distress Oxide inks over the top, using Crushed Olive, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Lumberjack Plaid, and Seedless Preserves. Then, I added a squirt of Glossy Accents to several of the trees, smeared it around with my finger, and sprinkled on the glitter, shaking off the excess. Isn't it the most beautiful sparkle?!? I added sentiments using Reverse Fall EZ Strips sentiment strips, die cut with the new coordinating EZ Strips Banners dies, popped up on foam, then finished off with a few Dazzling gems in Clear for a touch of extra sparkle! Plaid and Sparkly Snowflake cards - Simon Says Stamp

 Good morning everyone! Stopping by today a couple of wintery cards using some supplies from Simon Says Stamp. I broke out the glitter for these, and despite the fact I created them over a week ago, I'm pretty sure I still have glitter everywhere in my craft room! But so worth it - I love how these cards came out!

I started by die cutting the lovely Dancing Snowflakes wafer die from white cardstock, covering it with a glue pen, then sprinkling on Unicorn Confetti glitter. I let them dry, then shook off most of the excess, although it continued to sprinkle itself about the house - haha! I trimmed down some pertty pattern paper from Yuletide Plaid 6x6 paper pad to slightly smaller than my card bases, adhered that down, then added the snowflakes with tiny dots of liquid adhesive. I added the sentiments from Sentiment Strips Love Joy Peace, popped up on a thin foam adhesive strip, then finished off with a few Dazzling Gems in Opal sprinkled about. Birthday Love Flower Vases - Simon Says Stamp

 Good morning! I'm back with another little card for the month using some supplies from Simon Says Stamp - I had fun with some inky watercolor blending, a bit of Glossy Accents, and glitter for some 3 dimensional effects!

For today's card, I started off by stamping my images from Garden Fresh stamp set on watercolor paper, and added a sentiment from the Big Old Birthday stamp set. I then did some ink blending around the edges before misting with water. This gave a fun and simple pop of color to the panel - and I love the sort of faux watercolor effect it gives! I wanted to add some extra texture, so I covered each of the vases with a good solid coat of Glossy Accents, then sprinkled on some fine Rock Candy distress glitter along the right and bottom edge of the vases. This leaves part of the vases shiny and glossy, and then part of them looking a little frosted. It was hard to capture it in photos - but the first photo below shows it best! Friends Make You Laugh Out Loud - Pinkfresh Studio YouTube Live Card

Good morning! Dropping by today to share a card I made earlier this week for Pinkfresh Studio's YouTube Live. Since it is the week between New Years and Christmas, Lea and I combined our weekly lives, and did this one together. We both used the same set, with some different colors and layouts to show it two totally different ways! You can watch the replay HERE if you want to see more details. 

We both used Happy Blooms Frame stamp, die, and layering stencils for a cards. Lea went with wintry blues and pinks for her card - and I went with a more traditional spring color palette for my card - this was another set that I actually used for the first time for this live, and I'm so in love with the delicate design of the blooms, and all those lovely details that happen when you add stencil details!

I stamped it first with Licorice dye ink (since it is a dye ink, it works better to stencil over than Detail Black which requires time to dry or heat setting to prevent it smearing). I left the stamp lined up in my MISTI so I could add Detail Black at the end, once I had finished stenciling the layers.

I added all the layers of the stencils, lining up with my stamped image, then added the stamping in Detail Black over the top. I die cut the entire panel using Essentials: Blanket Stitched Rectangles largest die. Next, I die cut the window with the coordinating die - isn't the detail in the center cut portion so pretty?!?

Before attaching everything down, I added my stamped sentiment from Always Uplifting - stamping the larger word in the same pink I used to stencil my flowers, and Detail Black for the secondary sentiment. I then added some interest to the background with Slimline Skinny Plaid layering stencils, and the same green and aqua I used on the florals as well. I tried to leave the area with the stamped sentiment free of the stencil detail, so it popped from the background a bit more.

I added a few coordinating jewels in clusters around the sentiment for a bit of sparkle, and still felt like it needed a bit more sparkle, soooo...

...I smeared some Glossy Accents around the edges of the frame with my finger, and sprinkled on some coarse chunky glitter! Love the frosty glittery effect it gave to the edges!

Totally Worth Celebrating - Pinkfresh Studio Facebook Live Card

 Good morning! Dropping by today to share a card I made last week for Pinkfresh Studio's Facebook Live. Last week I took a break from our super popular Holiday release, and threw it back to some previously released sets - one of which had recently been restocked! You can watch the replay HERE if you want to see more details.

I used a beautiful previous release that was a collaboration with Altenew - Celebrate Today. I stamped and heat embossed it, then ink blended with Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, and Bubble Gum ink for an emboss resist effect.

Used the negative space of the die cut to create a shaker card - filled with a few different colors of Essentials Jewels mix, and some sparkly glitter. It really is a magical effect with those together for a shaker card! Added a sentiment with the reverse foiled Celebrate sentiment using the brand new Solid Hot Foil plate that is releasing next week (can't WAIT!).

Mounted it all on a navy cardbase, and decided it needed a bit of extra texture, so we die cut some Leafy Branches from white cardstock and tucked them around the edges, before finishing off with a few Metallic Gold Pearls.

Miss You Snow Much - Simon Says Stamp January 2021 Card Kit

  Good morning! I'm here today to share my first card with the BRAND NEW January 2021 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Snowflake Season! This kit is frosty and wintry, and perfect for sending love in the cold winter months! The included stamp set by the same name has lovely detailed images and perfectly coordinating sentiments, there is some STUNNING snowy pattern paper a beautiful snowflake die, a gorgeous snowflake embossing folder - that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

I have a frosty clean and simple card to share with you today!

I used lots of items from the kit for this card. I started off by die cutting that gorgeous snowflake die from white cardstock, covering it with liquid glue, and sprinkling with the fun glitter included in the kit - so sparkly and pretty! I set that aside to dry, while I moved on to using that embossing folder on some white cardstock.

Finally, I assembled the card by adding 3 thin strips of the colored cardstock in the kit to ground that snowflake, then adhered that in the center of those strips with a bit of liquid glue just in the center which allows the rest of the snowflake to float up a bit around the edges. Added a tiny sentiment from the stamp set in the kit, and mounted the entire thing on a Fog gray cardbase.
