Spring Framed Bunny Art - Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Moments Release

Good morning! I'm back today with something different than a card, still using the BRAND NEW Beautiful Moments Release from Simon Says Stamp! I thought it would be fun to get out of the box, so to speak, and create something different and fun! I love how it turned out!!!

I started off by stamping the adorable images from Special Friend on watercolor paper, and coloring in with soft watercolors. I love the vintage storybook feel that these images give me! Once they dried, I die cut them all out and set aside. I pulled out a Ranger Mini Framed Panel and added some color and texture to it by using a Vintage Photo distress ink cube to swipe directly on the edges of the frame, and then spritzed well with Fossilized Amber spritz which has a lovely bit of sparkle to it. For the background, I used Ivory cardstock for the base, then layered over several pieces of Desert Storm cardstock with a torn edge. I then adhered it inside the framed panel, and then started tucking my images into the scene. I stamped a tiny bee and it's little trail onto the background, and added the sentiment at the top. I embellished with a few colors of the adorable new Easter Eggs embellishment mix, some sparkly Nuvo Blizzard glitter drops on parts of the scene, and then added accents here and there with a white gel pen! Undersea Bubble Shaker Card - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today I've got a sweet little ocean theme shaker card using lots of supplies from Simon Says Stamp - those little bubble shaker elements are SOOO incredibly cute, and I love them in this little scene!

I stamped an image from Undersea Friends on watercolor paper, then watercolored in the scene in soft colors with my Gansai Tambai watercolor palette, and then added some sparkly glitter glue to parts of the scene. While that dried, I created the window. I used Dot Spiral 3D embossing folder on white cardstock, then cut a perfect window out of it with Basic Circle dies. To merge the two pieces together, I added a bit of soft ink blending with Seafoam ink on the embossed panel - it coordinated perfectly with the watercolor I used for the background on my scene, and made it feel like the scene was coming out of the shaker and onto the outside of the card! I created the shaker element, and filled it with Doodlebug Bitty Bubbles embellishments - they are darling! Added a sentiment from the Undersea Friends set, as well as a few Trinity Bubble Blow Out embellishments on the outside to carry the theme fully through. Soft Leafy Backgrounds - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I'm sharing a couple cards today using a leftover item from some cards I shared a couple days ago HERE. For these cards today, I'm again using supplies from Simon Says Stamp! Isn't it funny sometimes when you like the card you create with leftovers almost more than the original?

For these cards, I had a panel of cardstock that I used to die cut Delicate Leafy Branch from twice. I could just barely fit it on an A2 panel twice. I was going to toss those, but they were so pretty, I started trying to think of a way to use them! I pulled out an item I don't think I've ever used - an Embossing ink dabber, and then used that negative piece as a stencil over some watercolor paper. I carefully dabbed over the entire thing, then sprinkled on clear embossing powder and heat set it. Then I grabbed some watercolors and did some soft watercoloring over the top, allowing the embossed area to resist the ink. The result is SOOO pretty - and I'm kind of obsessed with it! Once those panels dried, I die cut them with one of the Squovals dies, then added sentiments from Mandala Blossoms, heat embossed in white on coordinating cardstock from Gina K and Concord & 9th. I added some glittery butterflies using Bright Butterflies die and white glitter cardstock, then finished off with some glittery enamel dots! Here is a closer look at these finished projects:

Cactus Watercolor Cards - Simon Says Stamp

 Good morning! I'm sharing a card today, and once again I pulled out a few favorite older supplies from Simon Says Stamp. And it's clearly been far too long since I broke out the watercolors - I need to do that more often. It was so much fun! As a bonus, these are nice and flat, so easy to pop in the mail!

These fun images are part of the Suzy's SUCCULENTS Watercolor Prints - and they are so fun for choosing a coloring technique and focusing on that, instead of how you plan to put your card together. I used my Daniel Smith watercolors, and took my time while watching a YouTube live that my friend Lea Lawson was doing! One of them I did in warm cozy tones that felt more realistic for these images. The other one I did in more cool tones for a bit of fun variety! Once they dried, I trimmed the panels down a bit, matted with some coordinating colored cardstock, and then mounted on white cardbases. Finished off with some Tonic glitter drops in Blizzard for a bit of extra sparkle! Here is a closer look at each of these cards:

Sunny Citrus - Simon Says Stamp Sunny Vibes Release

 Hello! Stopping by today to share my first couple cards using the NEW Sunny Vibes release from Simon Says Stamp! In keeping with how busy this month is, I'm a couple day slow to start posting - but  it's always better late than never, right?

For these cards, I used the new Lemon Tree 3D Embossing Folder on watercolor paper, then did some abstract watercolor over the top for a sort of impressionist style. I did one in the expected yellow and green, then did one to look more like grapefruits with aqua leaves. So fun! I added sentiments from the previously released Thankful and Grateful stamp and die set, using coordinating ink colors for the large sentiments. I added some tiny flower embellishments in the center of the full citrus slices to finish them off. Here are more photos of these cards:

Betterpress Intro and trio of cards - Pinkfresh Studio

 Hello! I'm dropping by today to share a few cards I created as part of a video for Pinkfresh Studio as an intro to our new press plates, designed to coordinate with the Betterpress machine from Spellbinders! I've also included the video below if you want to check it out! I created 3 cards with some of the examples I used in the video. First up - I used the Beautiful Roses press plate, and did a sneak peek at some of our upcoming liquid watercolors that will be releasing early next year! My watercolor is very simple - I'm definitely not a watercolor artist - but it was fun to just do some simple watercolors in a loose style. I used the Folk Edge Rectangles to die cut the panel, and added some splatters with my Pinkfresh Calico White ink pad (smooshed on my glass matte and mixed with a bit of water) as well as some gold Splatters. I added a sentiment from Favorite Things Sentiments as well as a few glitter drops to finish it off. Here are lots more photos of this finished card:

Next up - I used some of the Spellbinders Cotton cardstock for this card, and did some soft ink blending around the panel, before running it through my Betterpress with the Fairytale Frame and some deeper ink for a tone on tone look. I die cut a panel out of the center using Art Deco Frame die, so I could adhere the outer edges with foam adhesive for some simple dimension. Added another sentiment from Favorite Things Sentiments in the center, and finished off with a few Iridescent Clear Drops. Here are more photos of this card:

Finally, a cute little square card using Floral Square Frame - also with some ink blending on the background before running the press plate through the machine, but this time on our new watercolor paper (that will also be releasing early next year!). You can see the texture of the paper a little more, but I still think it is lovely! More of the same sentiment set, and a few glitter drops to finish this design off - all framed up with a Stitched Scallop Square cut from Glacier glitter paper. Love these colors!
