Hello Cute Panda!

Good morning! I have yet again, another catch up post this morning to share from last year! This is actually one of the cards I sent in for World Card Making Day the end of last year - one of my other cards actually ended up winning - but I think this was my favorite of all the cards I made to send in! It uses some fun Mama Elephant stamps and dies:

I started off with a Prima stencil, and cut a circle mask - then applied the embossing paste through the stencil and circle so it only ended up on that round shape. I then die cut the Hello Script word, covered it with lots of Wink of Stella, and glued it on my card front. The panda from Pandamonium was stamped and heat embossed on vellum, then fussy cut out, and finally adhered with tiny dots of foam adhesive to look like he was standing on the top of the hello! Stamped the rest of the sentiment, added enamel dots, then matted in black before mounting on my orange cardbase.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Paper Smooches Stencil and Ampersand

Good morning! Just dropping by with a card I actually made a LONG time ago for a publication call that was never picked up, and I never got around to sharing. I thought I would pop it in now for a couple of challenges:

First up, linking this up to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Thanks/Thanksgiving:

Next up, linking this up with this weeks Anything Goes Challenge at Paper Smooches Sparks:

For this card, I used a stencil and 3 different distress inks - I taped the stencil down and stenciled in a random circle with one color, turned the stencil one quarter turn and used my second color, then turned another quarter turn and used my last color. I thought it was a fun layered effect with the colors! I added a little die cut ampersand using Paper Smooches Always and Forever Dies and little pieces of foam adhesive, then added my sentiment from Many Thanks stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

A little bit of gold...

Good morning! Just popping in real quick with a card that I actually made for Splitcoast Stampers when I was a member of the Dirty Dozen earlier this year! I heat embossed in gold on vellum, added a stenciled background on my colored card base, then lightly colored in the rose with Copics on the vellum. Added a white panel to keep everything clear, then added some enamel dots and jute twine.

I really wanted to make something new for the current Virginia's View Challenge, but between moving and everything going on in our lives, it doesn't look like it will happen. But, I figured it was a good opportunity to link this up:

Thanks for stopping by - have a wonderful day!!!

Under the Weather?

Hello one more time! I'm back with a second card inspired by today's classes over at the Online Stencil Class I am taking - this time my card was inspired by Kristin Werner:

I have used my clear embossing paste a couple of times, but never left it just clear - I always layered something like glitter or embossing powder over the top. I LOVED the effect the clear powder had in her video - and it made me think of raindrops, so I had to give that a try. I used a Prima stencil and applied it over some blue Bazzil cardstock.

I had a moment of inspiration, and decided to heat emboss this little Pure Innocence MFT stamp on vellum, then color with Copics, before fussy cutting it out. I can't tell you how FUN this came out in real life! It reminds me of stained glass! I couldn't really get the effect captured in the photos - but maybe you can see it a little better in this close up:

Added a half circle cut with a Lil' Inker's Die and attached my little PI girl, with a bit of her hanging off the edge, so you can see the stained glass effect a bit better. Added a strip of vellum on the bottom and heat embossed my sentiment on it, then matted the panel in some yellow Bazzil cardstock, then on my cardbase.

This is extremely thick because of all the layers - but it is actually a one layer card that would mail great as well!

That's it for me today! Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday afternoon! See you again soon!
