Sweet Sheep Birthday - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I will probably always have a soft spot for sheep - they were my mom's favorite animal, and she collected pretty much anything that had a sheep on it! Now that she's gone, every time I see one, it makes me think of her. So of course I had to use this adorable little die from Simon Says Stamp - even it if took me a while to get around to it. And adding a shaker to the card just made it that much more special. :)

I assembled the little Sweet Sheep die set first, using a mix of Altenew Moonstone glitter cardstock, then SSS Seashell, Ivory, and Black cardstock. I did a bit of trimming on the layer with the legs, so that I could have two colors on them. Next. I created a shaker cut with a Stitched Circle die, then filled with mix of Cream Puff embellishment mix and Trinity Stamps Gold Sparkle Stars. I backed it with a panel of Apricot cardstock for a dreamy background! I stamped a sentiment from Graceful Swans at the bottom, then added a BIG glittery Double Loop Bow die cut from Pinkfresh Champagne glitter cardstock. I love how this card feels both adorable and elegant! Here is a closer look:

See Through Textured Shaker Window Card - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today I've got a fun card to share using a bit of a different technique I wanted to test out. I'm using a few different die sets and other supplies from Simon Says Stamp - and I really love how it turned out! I wish the photos showed the details better, but I also have a reel posted on my Instagram today that might share it a bit better!

I had seen a reel recently that used Modge Podge and dried flowers on plastic circles to make suncatchers, and wanted to recreate the idea in card form. I used die cut flowers from pattern paper, acetate, collage medium, and a brush - and it worked! I added a layer of the collage medium on the acetate, then added the flowers (die cut from Wildflower Bucket and Country Basket Bouquet die sets), added a bit of collage medium over each one as I added them, and tucked the leaves around as well. It took a while for it to dry, but I love the effect! The texture on the acetate reminds me of stained glass! I used pattern paper with Basic Circles die to frame the panel, then backed it with more acetate, filling it with sparkly Pretty Pink Posh Iridescent Stars for a simple shaker card, and backed it with a panel of white cardstock. To make the inside polished, I die cut a circle that was slightly larger, and aligned my see through shaker panel over the top - this way when it opens, it looks pretty! Finally, added some Clear Dazzling gems in the flower centers, a sentiment from Good Greetings 1, and tied some Lawn Fawn white twine around the front in a loopy bow!

Triple Heart Shaker Grid - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today I have a fun little shaker card with 3 small shaker windows, and lots of fun die cutting and sparkle! I'm using various supplies from Simon Says Stamp, but it all started with a die set I picked up recently and wanted to put to use!

The A2 Grid die is super fun, but that grid is so incredibly dainty and thin - so I die cut it from the center of a panel of white cardstock, then cut it from Honey Gold cardstock, then inset the gold one in the white one, taping in place from the back. This way it held it nice and secure and straight! Next, I die cut the larger heart shape 3 times to create windows, using the grid to align where to die cut them. I backed with acetate, filled with Gina K Disco Ball sequin mix, and then backed with some Sea Glass cardstock. I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from Good Greetings 1 in Gold Pearl embossing powder, die cut, and added a secondary sentiment from Reverse Beautiful Friend EZ Strips sentiment strips. I die cut several of the flowers from Country Basket Bouquet die set using Seashell and Apricot cardstock, and tucked those around the hearts in little clusters. I die cut a few of the smaller hearts from the A2 Grid die from more Honey Gold cardstock as well to add in the empty grids. Finally, I added lots of Prism Dazzling gems in the centers of the flowers and sprinkled around the die cut hearts to add some extra sparkle! Here is a closer look at the finished card:

Holding You in my Heart - Simon Says Stamp In My Heart Release

Good morning! Dropping by today with another card featuring the BRAND NEW Simon Says Stamp In My Heart Release! I've used one of those lovely new cardstock colors again, and paired it with several other new items from the release to create a shaker card!

I started off with one of my favorites of the new cardstock colors - Seashell. It's such a soft and pretty pastel tone! I embossed it with the new Apple Blossoms embossing folder to create some texture inside my shaker window. I created my shaker window by die cutting another favorite from the release - Scalloped Arches Frames from a panel of white cardstock. I then cut the same frame from Altenew glitter cardstock to inset to add the frame around my shaker. I filled my shaker with the new Cream Puff Embellishment mix. I heat embossed a flower from the Wild Rose stamp set in white on vellum for a lacy flower to add to the front, and tucked it behind a sentiment from Friendship XL EZ Strips sentiment strips that I cut with XL EZ Strips Banner die. I added a secondary sentiment from Wild Rose stamp set to finish this card off! Here is a closer look:

Hearts within a Heart Shaker Cards - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! You may remember THESE cards I shared a few days ago using a fun new coverplate die from Simon Says Stamp - and you know how much I love using leftovers from one card to create another card! So, I put those tiny little heart cut outs from that coverplate to use in a shaker card, and I think it is so cute! I mean, seriously, tiny little hearts inside a bigger heart? Yes, please!!!

I wanted to make use of the little die cut hearts from Falling Hearts coverplate die, and what better way to use tiny pieces than a shaker? I needed a window for the shaker, and at the risk of overdoing the hearts, I decided to use the Stitched Basic Hearts die. I used the same reverse of Concord and 9th cardstock that I used for the other cards, but this time had the deeper color on the outside, and the lighter color inside. I added some Starbright embellishment mix to the shaker for some extra interest and sparkle, and also used Stitched Rectangles to cut a stitched frame around the edges. The sentiments are the new With Love sentiment die, paired with a few Reverse Love EZ Strips sentiments. I also wrapped some Lawn Fawn white twine around a few times and tied in a bow. Here is a closer look at these two cards:

Love Ya Heart Shaker - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Yesterday I talked about following a cardmaking trail - and today is the next part of the journey along that trail! I used a negative die cut from something I cut from yesterday's card (you can see it HERE) as the starting point for the card I'm sharing today! And a sparkly love theme shaker card is such a fun different direction to go, don't you think? As always, I used lots of supplies from Simon Says Stamp to put this card together!

I love a reverse stack of die cut frames, especially when I'm able to turn it into a shaker card! For this one, I used the Modern Teardrops die. I had die cut a frame for another card from Gina K Emerald Coast cardstock, so I decided to use the negative space as the base for a shaker card. I die cut another slightly larger frame from white cardstock, and stacked them together. I filled my shaker with some ADORABLE new to me Trinity Stamps Red Sparkle Hearts and added a good dose of Chunky Rock Candy Glitter to make it extra sparkly! I added a sentiment from Groovy Wishes and a secondary sentiment from Reverse Just Sayin' sentiment strips die cut with the EZ Strips Slanted Rectangles die. Finished off with a few Pinkfresh Scarlet clear drops that perfectly coordinated and brought the sparkle outside of the shaker! Here are more photos of this fun shaker card:

Leaf Shaker Birthday Card - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today I have a light, bright, and airy card to share! I used a variety of supplies from Simon Says Stamp, and I love the pastel colors on this card! Not to mention, shakers never get old, am I right?!?!

This card started when I came across the Pale Green embellishment mix in my stash, and suddenly wanted to create a shaker with it! I thought it was a perfect fit for a shaker card, so I pulled out the Rose Branch die that I hadn't had a chance to put to use yet and cut a window in a panel of white cardstock. I saved that piece to use later (stay tuned!), and then created my shaker element, filling it with that mix. For the sentiment, I pulled out the Handwritten Happy Birthday die, and cut it from Honey Gold cardstock and vellum for the shadow layer. I adhered that together with tiny dots of liquid glue, then adhered it to the card with the same. Finished off with that secondary sentiment from EZ Strips Birthday sentiment strips, cut with the EZ Strips Banners die, and then a tiny bow created with Lawn Fawn white twine! Here are more photos of this fun shaker card:
