Birthday Bear with Butterfly Reflections Ink

Good morning everyone! I'm posting again this morning on the Butterfly Reflections Blog. We have a fairly large family, so I'm pretty sure the type of card I use more than anything else is birthday cards. It is probably the one I am requested to make more often than anything as well! The masculine ones are always particularly difficult for me, so I'm quite happy when I find a design that will work for that! I love some of the Altenew images for that reason - especially the ones from Geometric Menagerie that I used for this card:

I colored it with Copic markers, then fussy cut it out. I stamped a sentiment from Altenew's Birthday Greetings (LOVE this for birthday sentiments!) and heat embossed on vellum with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder (one of my favorites, because it isn't exactly gold, but not exactly silver - kind of in the middle!), then die cut it and a woodgrain panel with Lawn Fawn's Stitched Journaling Card Die. I adhered them together, and attached the bear with foam adhesive, tucking a couple of his feet behind the vellum - just to add to the dimension! All my pattern paper is from Crate Paper's 6x6 Journey paper pad, and I added a torn panel of kraft paper with some machine stitching behind there as well. The finishing touch is a few Studio Calico Wood Veneer stars - more masculine than sequins, don't you think? ;)

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!!!

Sailing By Hello

Hello! We have been spending most of the weekend painting - and I was so excited to finally get my office put back together today! It was a mess! I was itching for a few minutes to craft as well - so in between moving and re-setting stuff up, I managed to sneak in a few moments to put this together:

I saw a fun challenge over at Butterfly Reflections, Ink - to make a project incorporating your favorite season. I have to admit, I love ALL seasons - and I really am starting to get excited for fall, although I still feel a little mentally stuck in summer. Since I had the goodies from my very first Butterfly Reflections order in hand just waiting to get played with (ENABLER ALERT: Vanessa is running a sale - 20% off through tomorrow for the holiday weekend!) - I decided to make a summer project! (I wasn't sure if I was supposed to follow the colors - but I was inspired by the ocean photo in the center, so hopefully this is okay!)

I started off by cutting a window in some white cardstock with my Lil' Inker's stitched oval die, then adding some "waves" with my brand new Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 1 Dies. I added some pattern paper from the Ahoy There 6x6 paper pad by Echo Park. I stamped the darling sailboat from Lawn Fawn's Float My Boat stamp set on vellum, heat embossed in white, and fussy cut it out, then attached it between the waves. Die cut Lawn Fawn's Scripty Hello from white cardstock and added it, covering it with Glossy Accents to help it stand out a bit. Attached the front panel with foam adhesive, then added some distress ink around the edges to soften them a bit, before adding white stitch lines with a gel pen - they are hard to see in the photo, but kind of fun in real life!

Hello Shaker Card

Good evening! I'm posting a little late today - but I was procrastinating (in vain!) hoping that I would receive my order in the mail today with my first die from Pretty Pink Posh so I could participate in the Cutting Edge Blog Hop that ends today. Since it didn't come, I decided to make something anyway at the last minute!

As I mentioned above, I made this to join in the the Cutting Edge Blog Hop - even though my dies didn't arrive, I still had some sequins and gold confetti, so I decided to make a shaker card!

I used my Stitched Circle Dies and Stitched Scallop Border Die from Lil' Inker's Designs, as well as the Scripty Hello die from Lawn Fawn. There is a combination of pattern paper from MME and Basic Grey, as well as some pretty Gold Confetti, Cobalt Sequins, and Mini Sparkling Clear Sequins. The scallop border was cut from shiny gold paper to match the sequins, and I covered the word with Glossy Accents - which weren't dry in this picture even!

Hello Stars!

Good morning! Sharing some star fun this morning for a couple of challenges:

First up, playing along with the new Lawnscaping Challenge - obviously I chose stars!

Also playing along with the current Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Stencil It:

I started off by using my Simon Says Stamp Falling Stars Stencil and mixing some white embossing paste with some yellow Gelatos to make yellow paste - and applying it on my card base of soft blue PTI cardstock! Then I used Lawn Fawn's Puffy Star Stackable Dies to cut several stars out of vellum - using two of the dies together to make a window star as well, inside of which I stamped my sentiment from Just My Type. Rounded one corner, added some enamel dots, and a bit of Baker's Twine to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

Hey Girl!

Good afternoon! It is a gray day in Wyoming - and I have a couple of kids not feeling well, so I sat down to work on some various DT projects, as well as a couple of challenges! I was really struggling with no inspiration at ALL earlier - but I'm happy to say that I was able to sit down this afternoon and get 5 cards made - and those and several more photographed and edited! Glad I was finally able to kick myself into gear!!!

All my pattern paper is from my Basic Grey 6x6 Hey Girl paper pad, and the coordinating Flair that I have had on hand for forever, and never used! The enamel dots are also Basic Grey Candy Buttons from a few different packs. I used my Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling Card die to cut the stitched rectangle, and the plain edge Paper Smooches Quotables die to cut the grass hill. The little girl is from Avery Elle's Red and Goldie Stamp set, colored with Copics, fussy cut out, and mounted with foam adhesive. I also added a jute twine bow behind the flair.

Since this is the first chance I have had to use this Avery Elle set, as well as the flair - I am also linking this up with the brand new NBUS challenge - Anything Goes/Friendship

Foxy Love

Good morning! I know I'm posting a few things today - but I guess I have been busy creating, and need a little catch up time! So...I wanted to share one of my favorite cards of late! I LOVE foxes so much - and these cuties from Lawn Fawn are just as cute as it gets! This was my first try at the mirror image technique.

I am linking this up with the current Lawnscaping Challenge - Embossing:

Finally, Word Art Wednesday's Anything Goes, and the Photo Pocket Page Challenge in the Moxie Fab World (since the die I used is designed for pocket page scrapbooking).

I colored those adorable foxes with Copics, added some Wink of Stella (thought it's hard to see), and fussy cut them out. The center stitched panel is a Lawn Fawn die, and I stamped and heat embossed the clouds with white and gold embossing powder on vellum and fussy cut them out as well. Added some jute twine, pattern paper from Crate Paper, lots of foam adhesive, and a sentiment by Avery Elle.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!!!

MCS January Release - Day 1

Good morning! I can't tell you how excited I am to be starting off the first day of sneak peeks for the newest release at My Craft Spot! This is a packed and fabulous release - I am in love with every bit of it!!! I used the stamp set we are sharing samples of today - "Chalkboard Sentiments" - as well as two of the new dies - "Small Bow" and "Edgers" metal dies. Here is my card:

I so love chalkboard style sentiments, but thought it might be fun to use if for something other than the chalkboard technique I love so much! So I heat embossed with white powder on vellum. LOVE the soft effect it gives!

I used a Lawn Fawn die to cut the center stitched rectangle, and then cut the new Small Bow die with white cardstock. I am SOOO loving this bow! I love that it is plain and simple - so very elegant! I added a small gem to the center to finish it off.

I used some Basic Grey Persimmon 6x6 pattern papers, and white cardstock and the new Edgers dies to make the white border in the center. Finished off by rounding all the corners with my Corner Chomper.

Make sure and head over to My Craft Spot to see what the rest of the Design Team has put together - and leave a comment for a chance at today's giveaway:

See you back here tomorrow for more sneak peeks! Have a great day!!!

Merry and Bright Bokeh Card

Good morning! I'm sharing over on the Neat and Tangled blog this morning - this Christmas card using my Neat and Tangled stamps a little creatively - I really like the "bokeh" style cards, and it occurred to me that it would work perfectly to make a Christmas tree!

I used the solid and outline circle from Merry and Bright to build my tree, stamping each in a different shade of green ink, then stamping off 2 or 3 times to make it look like even more colors. The sentiment also came from this set. I added the star on top, and throughout the tree from Sparkle and Shine. I also used some Raspberry Red Satin Sequins, with a touch of black bling in the center.

I used some foam adhesive between a few of the layers, and also a bit of distress ink on the edges of the white card just to soften it a bit.

Pattern paper is from October Afternoon, and the stitched rectangle is a Lawn Fawn die. The tiny clothespin was in a pack I found at Michael's and just HAD to have - full of cute and fun colors! I tied some jute twine and added some tiny jingle bells to my card to finish it off.

SPS July Hop and Challenge

Good morning! Welcome to the monthly Shop Pumpkin Spice Design Team hop for July! You should have just arrived from Agnes, but if you just happened along, you can head over to our first stop today, Saundra - so you can hop along the whole way and not miss anything!

The challenge for this week is Stars or Fireworks - so I decided to go with stars for my theme!

Here are the items I used from Shop Pumpkin Spice:

The stars were cut with a Lawn Fawn die that I won a few weeks back and hadn't had the chance to use yet - and I stamped the sentiment with an older Bo Bunny clear stamp set that I got from SPS, but now can't find in the store - so it must be sold out! Finished off with a few sequins to tie it all together!

You are almost at the end of the hop, so your next and final stop is the Shop Pumpkin Spice Blog to see what Denine made to share today! There will also be the monthly winner announcements, as well as the Linky for the new challenge! Can't wait to see what you join in and make! Have a great day!
