Guinea Be a Great Day - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today is all about the cute and cuddly - and I always love a good pun! This darling set was part of the most recent Simon Says Stamp release, and since my daughters had guinea pigs when they were younger, there is always something nostalgic for me about them. The memories of their happy squeaks any time they heard the fridge opening and thought they were getting fresh veggie treats! They sure were cute!

I started off by creating the background. I used a panel of white cardstock I had already embossed with the Fanfare embossing folder. I die cut a circle using Basic Circles, and used it as a mask while I ink blended around it with Zest ink, and then a bit of Grapefruit ink closer to the circle for shading and depth. I peeled that circle off (don't worry - it was pretty, and I saved it to use on another card that I'll share soon!). Next up, I stamped those darling critters from Furever Grateful, stamping in Nocturne ink and heat embossing with clear ink. At first I planned to leave them white, but they looked a bit too plain, so I did some simple Copic coloring (colors are linked below). I added them with foam adhesive in a little cluster on the bottom of the circle, then heat embossed some sentiments from the set, trimmed them into strips, and added them above. Finished off with a bit of Lawn Fawn white twine wrapped around and tied in a bow, then a few Sunbeam Dazzling Gems in a row on the upper edge of the circle! Here are more images of this punny little card:

Watching You Grow - Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Moments Release

Good morning! I'm back with a tiny, sweet, and simple card using a set I shared before from the Beautiful Moments Release from Simon Says Stamp! It's the same new Rainbow Splash sweet little set that my daughter, Katie, designed! I shared a more layered and intricate card HERE, and a trio of different cards on the Simon Says Stamp blog HERE if you want more inspiration with it!

For this card, I went super sweet and simple with the Budding Blossoms set! The Rainbow Splash collection lends itself so well to these kinds of designs - and I love it! I started off by taking a standard A2 card, and trimming off the bottom to create a square card - so it is 4.25" x 4.25". I did a bit of soft ink blending around the outside with Seafoam ink, then planned my placement and stamped the florals and the bee directly onto my cardbase. I colored them in simply with Copic markers, and then stamped the watering can on Fog cardstock, and die cut with the coordinating die. I popped that up with foam adhesive, and then stamped my sentiment underneath. Finished off with a sprinkle of Dazzling Gems in clear! Here is a closer look at this card:

Nutcracker Christmas Duo - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I've got a few more Christmas projects to share, but hard to believe that Christmas is less than 2 weeks away already! I'm using a new stamp and die set from a recent Simon Says Stamp release that I hadn't had a chance to put to use yet! I have so many fond memories of taking my daughters to watch the nutcracker when they were younger - so when I saw this stamp set, I knew I had to create a card or two with it! I also recently ordered some beautiful pattern paper, and realized they would be a perfect pairing!

Also - did you see the brand new upcoming FREE class for Simon Says Stamp with Jennifer McGuire? There is a fabulously priced kit available HERE as well if you want to use the same supplies as Heidi and Jennifer will be using!

I started off by stamping in black and clear heat embossing the images from Nutcracker Christmas on panels of white cardstock. I stamped them slightly off the corner of the A2 panels, the used Basic Circles die to cut around to create partial circles. I cut another size up from Black cardstock to create a mat behind the image, and used a pink Copic marker to add just a *touch* of pink to their cheeks. I used a couple panels of pattern paper from the pretty Ink Drops Festive 6x6 paper pad, trimming slightly smaller than my cardfront, and offsetting to leave a small white border around two of the edges. I popped my partial circles up with foam adhesive, added stamped and die cut sentiments, and finished off with some Dazzling gems in Mandarin and Sprout for some sparkle! Here is a closer look at these finished cards:

Reindeer Kisses - Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Pink and Main exclusive

Good morning! I'm back to share a card using the next of the special STAMPtember collaborations throughout the month! Each collaboration is with one of your favorite companies, is limited edition, and only available while supplies last. When it's gone, it's gone! Today's special release is from Pink and Main:

The Reindeer Kisses set has some super cute images, and since I couldn't pick one, I decided to add a few to my card! I paired it up with some 49 and Market Mistletoe & Memories pattern paper - those tags are actually trimmed from a piece of that paper! I punched a hole and threaded through some twine on each one. I stamped the images and sentiment in black ink, then clear heat embossed, and die cut with the coordinating dies. I layered everything together, using foam adhesive for some of the layers, and then colored just the scarves of each reindeer to coordinate with a tag. I added some sparkly glitter drops over the scarves, and then finished off with a few sparkly enamel dots! Here is a closer look at this card:

Winter Wishes Action Wobble - Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Newton's Nook exclusive

Good morning! I'm back to share a card using the next of the special STAMPtember collaborations throughout the month! Each collaboration is with one of your favorite companies, is limited edition, and only available while supplies last. When it's gone, it's gone! Today's special release is from Newton's Nook

I had so much fun creating this warm vintage feeling card, and adding some fun motion with mini action wobbles! I started off by stamping the images and sentiments from Skate Paw-ty on Cream cardstock in Cappuccino ink, layering on some embossing ink, then heat embossing with clear powder. Next, I did some simple shading and coloring with just two Copic marker colors. I grabbed some pattern paper from Carta Bella Christmas Village paper pad, die cut some circles from some of it, and layered things together, trimming the circles to add some different arrangements and interest. I popped the images up on those action wobbles, added a few enamel dots to embellish, rounded off one corner, and finished off with a bit of sparkly Stickles on parts of the images for a little extra touch! Check out the photos - including some action shots towards the end of the post:

Baby Highland Cow Party - Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Release

Good morning! I'm back again with another card using the NEW STAMPtember Release from Simon Says Stamp! I shared a card last night with the adorable Highland Cows set, and today I'm sharing another one using the adorable babies in the set!

This time I took the little baby cow in the Highland Cows set, stamped him a few times and heat embossed with clear embossing powder, then did some light coloring with Copic markers. I used the new A2 Postage Rectangles die to place them on, and paired with the star line image and a sentiment once again from the new Inside Greetings Birthday set. I used more Carta Bella pattern paper, and added some May Arts twine tied around as well! Here is a closer look at this card:

Cute Night Camping Scene cards - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I've got a couple cute little camping scene cards to share with you today! I'm using a fun newer stamp and die set from Simon Says Stamp that I hadn't had a chance to put to use yet, as well as an older stencil that I have wanted a chance to utilize!

For this cute little scene, I started off with the darling Cute Campers set. I trimmed a panel of white cardstock down to smaller than A2 (nothing too technical - haha!), and then stamped my images, leaving them going off the edges of the card. In hindsight - I wish I had either left the kitties tail more in the scene, or trimmed off a bit more, but I guess it just looks like it has a stubby tail! Haha! I then ink blended around the scene a little bit to create some background, and then created a starry night sky by stenciling over the top with Twinkle Stars stencil and Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste. I added more color to the scene using my Copic markers and some simple shading, then matted the panel with white, and popped on foam on Sage cardbases. Finished off with the sentiments, stamped and popped up with foam! Here is a closer look at these two cards:
