Favorite Floral Frame - Simon Says Stamp Happy Camper Release

Good morning! I've got a card to share again today with the Simon Says Stamp Happy Camper Release! This time I'm featuring one of the new embossing folders - it is such a pretty one!

I started off by embossing the new Fun Floral Frame 3D embossing folder on white cardstock. I then used the reverse side, or debossed side, to ink blend with Canary and Ballet inks softly around the edges. This makes those florals just pop! I added a sentiment from the You 2 set, heat embossing the larger sentiment and die cutting it to pop up with foam, and stamping the secondary sentiment directly on the panel. I colored in the heart on the larger sentiment with a Copic marker, and added lots of bling to the flowers. I wanted a pop of bold black - I'm not entirely sure how I feel about adding them to the center of the flowers, but I think it is a fun effect! Just different from what I'm used to! I used some of the tiniest Black Dazzling Gems, then added medium sized ones to some of the flowers in Butter and Bubblegum. Finished off with a good bit of Tonic Glitter drops on Blizzard on the heart on the large sentiment, as well as on each of the flowers on the frame. Here is a closer look at all the sparkle:

Quack Me Up - Simon Says Stamp Rain or Shine Release

Hello! I've got another cute card to share today using some of the new Rain or Shine Release from Simon Says Stamp! Excuse the pun, but this CA-UTE little ducky really does "quack me up"! Haha!

I thought it would be super adorable to piece together this little Darling Duckling with pattern paper, so I pulled out the Bunnies & Baskets 6x6 paper pad - I also grabbed some colors to pull together a background. I pieced the ducky together, using one Copic marker to color the pieces for the eyes. I pieced together the blue and green, then used a Circle die to cut a window, and layered together some torn edge vellum behind the window to ground the ducky. I also tied a tiny bow around his neck using Lawn Fawn white twine. Sentiment from Farm Life was stamped on a Small Folded Banner, and then I finished off with a row of coordinating Dazzling Gems from the pastel pack! Here is a closer look at this cutie:

STAMPtember Collaboration - Mama Elephant

Hello - and HAPPY STAMPtember - a month long party by Simon Says Stamp to celebrate all things stamping.

Today we are getting to see the next in the progression of the special SUPER SECRET collaboration stamp sets that will be happening throughout the month! Today we have...Mama Elephant!

These adorable little foxes are the CUTEST!!! I had fun creating a few fun little masked scenes with distress inks.

Here is a closer look at each of the little scenes I created:

I basically stamped each image on the white cardstock, then stamped the main images on masking paper, cut out just the bottom portion (no sense wasting effort, right?), and then used post it tape to mask off the top and blended a "ground" of bright distress ink colors under each image. Also added some white paint splatters for a snowy effect, and a few sparkly jewels in coordinating colors to finish it off!

Here is a closer look at this adorable stamp set:

Obsessed Penguin - Simon Says Stamp Card

Good morning! I'm stopping by today with anther funny sentiment card, using the same stamp set I used on the funny gnome card from a couple days ago from Simon Says Stamp. This time I used a simple stamped penguin from the Snow Much stamp set!

I thought this funny little penguin was so super cute - and adding wiggly eyes was such a cute touch with that hilarious sentiment from Playful Messages stamp set!

I added some simple Copic coloring just to the nose, and stamped the heart in red ink and colored it in with Copics as well for a solid heart image.

Some pattern paper at the top and bottom of the panel - the top end die cut with Wavy Scallop Stitches - and then that front panel popped up on a kraft cardbase with foam adhesive!

Sending Happy Wishes

Good morning! I'm on the Unity blog this morning with a card using the newly released Sending Up Something Beautiful - you might have seen floating around on Facebook or in some Unity emails - I did something a little different on this, and combined a Copic colorless blender with watercolors. I played a little with different colors, but found I liked the effect of the colorless blender the best - but feel free to experiment and see what you like best! It just seemed to soak in the watercolor a little deeper creating a bit of a shadow effect.

NOTE: be careful with your Copics depending on what ink you use. There are a few inks that are Copic and watercolor compatible, but my favorite watercolor ink - Versamark - is not, so I was careful not to touch the ink since I didn't want it to bleed and get on my brush tip and ruin it.

Here is the video and you can see what how it works:

My biggest frustration on this card is that I didn't wait for the green to dry before coloring the hearts - so the red bled out of the lines. Grrr...maybe I'm the only one who noticed, and I thought about redoing it, but finally decided to just leave it imperfect - and be okay with it!

Hello! Just a quick evening post with the card I whipped out quickly tonight for Day 4 of the Unity Itty Bitty a Day Facebook challenge:

This is one of those card I wish I had stopped before I did the last thing! I loved it how it was, but just had to mess with it and add the blue Copic to the birds! Oh well...I covered it up with a bit of Stickles, and learned my lesson! :-)

I used the itty bitty My Strength & Song, Lord, some Crate Paper, a bit of washi and sequins, and a Little Inker's Rectangle Die.

Thanks for stopping by! Off to watch a movie with my hubby! Have a great evening!

Growing in Unity Day 3

Good morning! Today is the 3rd day of my week of Growing in Unity for Unity Stamp Company! In case you don't know how it works, make sure and leave a comment everyday for a chance to win 2 Unity Itty Bitty stamps of your choice at the end of the week. I will draw a winner from comments left throughout the entire week.

Now...onto the projects! I decided it would be fun to take some of the fun Sassy Sentiments by Erin Schreiner and focus on those for the week! I will be using one sentiment two different ways for each day of this week, paired up with die cuts or other Unity stamp images. One more classy or vintage inspired, and one more CAS, retro, or modern. Something like that anyway! So, for today I chose the sentiment "oh darling, let's be adventurers." from the set called Hiya Gorgeous. Here is the first card I made with it:

LOVE LOVE LOVE how this one came out! I'm kind of thinking about keeping it - seriously! I used a fun Itty Bitty called "happy to be me" - something about silhouettes always makes me happy I guess! I stamped it with MFT ink on a circle cut with a Spellbinder's Die and trimmed off on the side to make it flat. Added some layers of washi tape underneath the image as well.

All my pattern paper is from an older Crate Paper paper pad - Story Teller. I trimmed the banners by hand, stamped my sentiment with MFT inks, and added a Tim Holtz paper clip on the side. Finished off with some Studio Calico Wood Veneer shapes that I colored with Copics to match my project.

And the next one is totally bright and fun!

For this one I started off by cutting a circle with a Spellbinder's die in a piece of cardstock, then using the negative piece as a mask and blending some different colors of Tim Holtz distress ink in sunset colors. Then I stamped the Itty Bitty Destination Happiness over the top of it.

Added some washi tape underneath, stamped the sentiments and colored a bit of it with Copic markers, and tied on some jute twine. Added a few sequins, and a little bit of ephemera from Crate Paper and a Tim Holtz paperclip.

I am also linking these up to this weeks Simon Say's Stamp Challenge - Anything Goes!

That's it for today! I'll see you again tomorrow for two more cards using another sentiment! Have a great day!!!
