Julie: I love weekends because I get lots and lots of porch time.

I also love to tease mum.

See how my eyes are just slits?

I like to pretend I do not like the camera.

For added effect, I turn my head away!
MOL!

Really mum? You want to take my picture?

OK ! MOL!

I love to rub my face with my paws too.

I also love to lick my belly.

My overgrooming drives mum crazy.

Maybe I better slow it down so she does not drag me 

to the Vet!

Oh well...nap time now!

Julie's Weekend

Julie: Hmmmmmm!

Thought there was something interesting on this part of the couch.

Guess not, so I hopped on to the  sunny seats.

It is sunny and warm out on the porch today!

As you can see, I love sunshine.

It feels so good on my body.

It makes me happy too.

When I am happy, I rub my face.

That makes mum laugh.

Midnight Monday with Julie

Julie: Well, our weather is still being very strange.

One week we have snow storms, the next week we

have rainstorms.

At least the rain washes away the snow.

We do wonder,though, what all these up and down

temperatures will do to the trees and plants.

I am sitting in the living room wondering what mum

is going to do.

Laundry she said.

Later in the kitchen I asked if I could go on the porch.

As it was not too cold Sunday, I got to go on the porch!

Here I am checking out some dried bayberry leaves.

I did not eat then, just a little sniff.

 Just checking out this purple mat.

I like hanging out on the porch.

I moved to my favourite spot.

I can see the front yard from here

I like to look out and see is Earl the Squirrel is around.

I did not see him ,but another time I will.

Still, it was fun to be on the porch.

The Calm After the Storm with Julie

Julie: It is so nice to be sitting on the porch.

The sun is shining and it is warm  since the porch is

closed in.

I intend to enjoy all this nice sun too.

A snooze is the best way to enjoy sunshine.

I even enjoyed some time with my big brother JJ.

It was nice.

We did have an eventful week though.

On thursday we had a BIG storm.

It was warm, super windy and rainy!

Mum came home early as buses were being pulled off 

the road and one of the Halifax Harbour bridges was closed

due to excessive wind.

The wind knocked out power for a lot of people including us!

We lost power Thursday at 4:30PM and it was restored

Friday night at 9PM.

Friday was sunny but very,very cold.

The weekend was very cold too.

We were glad mum had the oil tank filled!

We also have some old windows in the kitchen. 

They sometimes frost up .

The frost is kinds pretty so I will share a picture with you.

Just Hanging Around with Julie

Julie: I like to hang out in the kitchen.

That is where all the yummy food is.

Mum comes in often when she wants to make coffee.

She does not always give me treats though.

Darn !

She will give me belly runs though!

It is a good place to hang out.

I can see into the living room and into the porch.

When mum is home, she leaves the kitchen door open so we

can wander out to the porch.

I'm still trying for more treats with no luck!

Oh well. I went out to the porch to enjoy a good snooze in the sunshine.

Mum says to enjoy it as we may have rain until Thursday.

Dang!

Midnight Monday with Julie

Julie: I was happy this weekend.

We were lucky and had some sunshine.

The temps were cool, but the porch is enclosed so it was warm.

I saw something that mum put on the shelf and had to explore.

It was a box from our canned food.

I like sitting in boxes.

It is a good place to watch whatever is going on too.

Here is something mum saw. She cut a piece of olive bread.

It looks like bunny bread because it is shaped

like a bunny.

Yes, she still ate it.

Bathtime on the Porch with Julie

Julie: After a very rainy Saturday, we had sunshine

on Sunday! 

I was so happy as it was warm on the porch. 

It was a purrfect time for a little bath.

First a little lick on my arm.

Then I decided to clean my toes.

Toes are a lot of work, so I decided to have a little snooze 

before doing any more bathing.

You know how it is...any excuse to have a good snooze !

Julie: Guess what? We had a lot of rain this weekend.

That does not make for good Critter TV

So what's a kitty to do?

Hang out with my brother JJ.

He is a cool cat.

Besides, I like sleeping too.
