Blue Wednesday with Spooker

Blue Wednesdays feature Russian Blues here on House Panthers.
You can see how blue Spooker's grey fur can be in the 'before' picture,
and then I sepia-ized it for this week's Sepia Scenes.

Sepia Spooker

A picture of Spooker, that I cropped a close-up out of, then inverted it on Picnik, and sepia-toned it.
What do you think?

Spooker In The Window

Over at Purrchance To Dream today, Daphne is seen in this same window view. While Daphne's picture is from today - when it's raining, you can see that Spooker's picture above was taken a while ago. Even though spring has been very slow to come to Michigan this year, we don't still have snow, thank Bast!

For other cats in Window Views today, please visit Samantha at Life From A Cat's Perspective and Carbon at Furry Tails of the PDX Pride.

Blue Wednesday

I saw this poster in a window in Reading when I was in the UK.  It's for a cardboard tank playhouse for cats.  It cracked me up, especially since the cat inside the tank reminded me of Spooker.
Cheers!

Blue Wednesday

Not The Mama woke me up from my morning nap to do this meme-thingy, so let's get this over with so I can go have my mid-morning nap. Here are seven things about me, Spooker.

1. I like to nap. The older I get, the more naps I like. I'm 15 years old. My Gotcha Day was Mother's Day, but notice how no one made a fuss about that anymore since those all those interlopers came and invaded my home?

2. Until they came along, I was the Glorious Center of Not The Mama's Known Universe. Then those hellions came and shattered my reality.

3. I only eat kibble. I have a sensitive tummy, and stinky stuff is not goodness for me. I never in all my life would even sniff a treat, until we tried Temptations. Now, I even tolerate that Chloe Monster within 2 feet of me during our Temptations Treat Time.

4. Every night when Not The Mama goes to bed, I have to jump up on his chest for a chin scritch. He reads books and spends some quality time with me in order to relax before sleepy time.

5. When I was younger and more adventurous, sometimes I'd get "Spooker Marie!" yelled at me. Now there are THREE trouble makers in our house, so I'm off the hook.

6. When we lived in our first house in Dayton, Ohio, I would run up and down the stairs in the middle of the night, barking. Not The Mama says I was channeling the terriers who used to be bred in our basement. I just thought I was having my midnight crazies, but strangely, when we moved from that house - I never barked again...

7. Along with having a sensitive tummy, I have very sensitive skin. Our litter has to be UN-scented or I break out in an itchy rash, and I can't wear a collar - it gives me hives. But I am a big scaredie cat, and I would NEVER venture outside. I've never been outside in my whole entire life, except for trips to the Vet and when moving -- unless you count when I was abandoned in a shoebox on the doorstep of the Animal Shelter in Dayton. Maybe that's why I don't ever want to go outside. Not never ever.

Okay, that's enough about me. Time for another nap.
Growls and Hisses,
Auntie Spooker

Spooker and the Giant Twist Tie
Blue Wednesday

Don't worry - that's not a skinny snake or a bare wire that Spooker is about to touch - is is a giant brown twist tie from a silk floral arrangement that I was working on.  Spooker used to get twist ties as a toys, until Daphne & Chloe came along.... as kittens, I was afraid that Chloe (who likes to chew on things) would swallow one, so a ban on twist ties came into effect.
However, this GIANT twist tie was the exception to the rule, and Spooker (and Little Isis and Chloe) spent hours playing with it.  Daphne, for the record, couldn't see what all the excitement was about.
Spooker wants to know - do you get to play with twist ties at your house?
ciao for now,
Not The Mama

In Spooker's Own Words
Blue Wednesday

Last week during Doodle Week, I was portrayed as Evil Spooker, bound and determined to destroy Little Isis.
Let me just say that this was a slight exaggeration.  For many years, I was the only kitty with Not The Mama, and the Glorious Center Of The Universe.  Then the interlopers Daphne & Chloe came into my life and shattered my Only Kittiness.  And now I also have to deal with having the tiny ebony pestilence that is Little Isis in my home, stealing away Not The Mama time.  To make matters worse, Little Isis loves to stalk me.

So, who can blame me for having a week of daydreams where I am the one to stalk her?

Now, things are back to "normal" in the Purrchance To Dream home.... until the next time I go Evil, that is!

Not The Mama has found he likes to Doodle, and we already knew he liked to play with photos in Photoshop - today's picture of me is a combination of Doodling in Paint and Photoshopping!  What do you think of my new House Panthers portrait?
Growls and Hisses,
Auntie Spooker
