More Smudge To Love

Do you remember when my Aunt Bessie
 adopted little tail-less Smudge?

Now, he's grown SO much! He's as big as Pete!
Here's a couple recent pics of the Smudgemeister:

Smudge Update

Sorry I haven't written in a while. Things have been busy in Ex-Dad's house (I hope I don't offend him by calling him that) and since he is the one who does all the internets works for us,I can only provides updates when he or Ex-Mom comes for a visit.

Ex-Mom came for a visit and Ex-Dad has a break from the dreaded Mr.Project (I used to hate Mr.Project), so I told Ex-Mom about what is happening in Grandma's house.

I luvs my new bestest friend, Chloe. We plays and runs and cuddles and keeps Grandma company. I now cuddle with Grandma and tell her that I love her like I used to tell Ex-Dad. (Ex-Mom says this still hurts Ex-Dad so I don't say these things when he is around.) This is an older picture of us but we still likes to sit this way together on Grandma's couch.

Ex-Mom: I saw Smudge this week and he is looking amazing. He has gained back most of the weight he lost and his coat is as black and silky as the night. It broke our hearts to send him to Grandma's but it was the best thing for him and for his new bestest friend, Chloe.

Hello from Smudge

Someone asked on Smudge's old blog how he was doing.

Simply; Smudge is gaining weight. He is getting all the love and attention that he needs plus a little more from his friend Chloe. I have a dubious task of taking him to the V-E-T for a check up, but that is now my cross to bear.

As long as he associates me with everything bad in his life and that everything with the MIL is all love and snorgling, I will bear that burden. It is the least I can give my beloved buddy.

Smudge update

We went a spent some time with Smudge this weekend.

Even though I know he is happier and less stressed, I miss the little guy and the way he would just cuddle and stretch out with me on the couch. Everytime I go and see him and sense how fearful and reluctant he is to stay in the same room as us, it breaks my heart a little more. But enough about me...

Smudge is doing really well. He has obviously plateaud and the sub-q fluids are working their magic. He has a nice layer of muscle on his ribs and his hind quarters are no longer bony. His new sister has been changed permanantly too. She no longer hides when anyone comes for a visit. The MIL says she is a completely different cat. I will try and get some pictures of him. At least ones that do not involve crouching down on my knees and peering under the MIL's bed. That's Smudge favourite hiding spot.

Purrs to all.
