Julie's Weekend Around the House

Julie:Saturday was overcast and rainy.

Sometimes the rain was heavy.

It was a good day for snoozing.

Sunday was sunny! It was a grand day for enjoying 

sunshine on my panther furs.

My big brother JJ loved it too.

Oh sunshine, no wonder cats and humans worship you!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

The porch was pretty nice too.

It always is a great place to hang out.

Oh yes, I love the porch !

But!!!!

Can you believe the nerve of this guy?!!

He broke into the porch and wanted to know 

if he could have seeds! Can you imagine?

Mum said she put seeds outdoors and he had to go outside for them.

I was upset the she did not let me help him out.

I cannot imagine why!

Dining with a View

Julie: I really like this time of year.The days are longer

and Critter TV is so much better

Watching critters eat reminds me that supper is near!

I really love supper time. Yum!!!

Supper with a view is better!

I got to see Chippy Chipmunk...

and Earl the Squirrel.

Though Earl looks like he wants MY dinner.

Not happening dude!

 Ah, must make sure to get every last bite!

Midnight Monday with Julie

Julie: We had a pretty interesting weekend.

We had snow,sun , snow and sun at the same time.

The snow started Friday night. Saturday was OK then 

Sunday we had sun and clouds  that caused sun and

snow at the same time.

This is what I did for some of the time.

 By Sunday I wanted to hang out with mum a lot.

She was busy in the kitchen,so I kept

her company.

I sat onb the counter,

the windowsill,

and the floor.

I even spent a little time on the porch.

As it was coolish,I headed back to the kitchen.

Mum saw Earl sitting on the railing outside the kitchen

window. He appears to be contemplating his next move.

Or maybe he is trying to remember where he buried the seeds!

Monday Musings with Julie

Julie: I have really been enjoying this weekend with mum.

She has and extra day at home with me as today is a holiday.

I love to be where ever she is.I am always watching her too.

I like to watch mum in the kitchen. 

You never know when treats might appear.

Well, a cat can hope right?

On Saturday, we had lots of sun as you can see from this picture.

There was a squirrel on this branch, but he moved before

mum got his picture.

Sunday, we had some snow. Not a lot,about 10cm (4in)

Earl the Squirrel was eating seeds mum put out.

These are his footprints in the snow.

This is what our yard looks like.

It well not last. Today it is sunny and warmer and tomorrow

it is going to rain again.

Our very strange,conflicted Winter continues!

Monday Musings with Julie

Julie: Mum, I know it got colder after all the rain on Saturday,

but I still want out on the porch.

Can I go out there? 

Please?

Oh boy! It is not too cold on the porch and I hear

something outside!

Want to know what it was?

Well, we got a tiny amount of snow on Saturday night.

Mum calls it a "skiff of snow".

But that's NOT what I saw.

 This is what I saw!
Earl the Squirrel hiding seeds in his tree house.

Sorry the video is not as clear as it could be.

But it was fun to watch him.

Julie: Mmmmm, breakfast!

Uh,wait what is that outside?

Oh man! Look at that thing go!

Sometimes I really wish I could get outside and chase 

you Earl!!

I think that would be such fun.

Mum does not agree.

Dang!

Oh well, back to breakfast. Yum!

Julie's Sunny Sunday

Julie: It was pretty cloudy Saturday.

We had a lot of rain Saturday night!

I was worried that it would rain on Sunday too.

As you can see, the sun came out!

That made me so happy.

I got on the porch!

It is so much fun to sit and look out the window.

Oh February 13 we had a BIG snowstorm.

It kept mum home for 2 days!

Then we had more snow February 16 !

As you can see, we had Winter in one week.

This past week we had mild temperatures.

Saturday night we had a LOT of rain!

Look how mush snow has gone.

Mum says we will have mild temps and more rain this week.

That should take away more snow.

Earl the Squirrel is happy as long as he can find 

the sunflower seeds mum puts out.

Labour Day Monday with Julie

Julie: Hi friends. I am happy today because mum is home.

It is Labour Day Monday so I guess that means she will

be labouring on me today. Heehee!

I am feeling great after my dental where 2 teeth were stolen.

My mouth is not sore anymore.

Now I can enjoy the view out of this window.

I am watching Earl eating some seeds.

He is neat to watch, but I would still like to get out

and chase him!

I think I will have a little nap. 

This looks like a good spot.

The porch is a great place for napping.

I even have the company of my brother JJ.

We will enjoy a snooze and then a treat when mum brings it out

to us. Yes, we have her well trained!

Julie: As you know I love the porch. I also love weekends

as I get to be on the porch as much as I want.

That is important as I get to see what's going on outdoors!

Look! There's Earl.

Oh! There he goes!

He is eating seeds mum put out.

I like to watch him.

I just wish I could get out there and chase him!

After a day on the porch, I look forward to supper.
